I wonder what kind of hellish thing we will find out 50 years from now, that we think is completely safe.
My grandson in 2070: "Damn, Grandpa, did you really use Wifi? In your HOMES? How did you even survive? How come no one told you it was giving you *insert serious illness."
Likely not one thing. Plastics. The recent meta of putting extra protein in every imaginable food. Nitrates in processed meats. Most recent i read about was residual dish soap from dishwashers not being good enough at rinsing it. Our poor gut bacteria just cant keep up with all the shit (heh) we try to nuke it with.
Excess in protein or creatin is just expelled, the body is not that dumb, it also depends if you're chugging 10 scoops of powder whey protein per hour then yes maybe it's too much, but overall, it is just not that.
Thats just not how it works. Its like saying diabetes doesnt exist because the body would just get ride of the excess sugar. There are limits to how much the body can handle. Kidney failure for example is also associated with overconsumption of proteins and the body not able to keep up with getting rid of them.
As i said its never just one single thing but having free proteins ready to be used for malignant formations is certainly a factor.
