URGENT SURVEY
Hi everyone! I'm a student designing a product for film-goers as part of a school project, and I'd love to hear from people who actually go to the cinema or film festivals. It's a quick 2-minute anonymous survey about what's great and what's frustrating about the experience: https://forms.gle/5HNYS1zHgHzEsij58
Every response helps shape what I design. Feel free to share it with other film lovers. Thanks so much!

The Bus That Goes Backwards
I made this short surreal parable ("The Bus That Goes Backwards") about nostalgia, time, and how easily we get trapped in memories. It’s an exploration of how hard it is to stop looking over our shoulders, even when we are finally walking forward on our own two feet.
I Really Do Need Feedback. The Bus That Moves Backwards (Time Paradox)
Note on AI usage: The concept and story are 99% original writing by me. AI tools were used solely for visual generation / audio narration.

You ever feel like a failed filmmaker? I did too. Then I shot my first feature.
I’m launching a no-budget filmmaking YouTube channel, ThatRJBuckley. I’ve been a part of the film industry for over fifteen years and I eventually just got sick of the waiting waiting waiting. Waiting for agents, waiting for producers, waiting for investors. So after leaving Hollywood and moving back to the east coast I said screw it, picked up a camera, and shot my first feature. A few years later I shot my second. And now I’m hopping on YouTube to tell you all how I did it and how you can too.
The first video is up. It’s an intro to me, the channel, and the indie filmmaking problems of the day. My next vid will be a warts-and-all full breakdown of the budget of my first $7K feature. I've been saying for years, I feel like filmmakers don't talk about money enough. Well I'm gonna put my mouth where my money is.... or something.... Head on over and subscribe for all the behind the scenes goodness.

Mimic | Indie Horror Short Film | Produced by 21West Productions
The Appalachians have deep-rooted beliefs, whispered through generations. Locals pass down strict rules to their loved ones—taboos intended to keep the mountain’s ancient, hungry inhabitants at bay. They say the woods watch, they say the wind mimics, and they say that if you stray from the path or break a single vow, you invite something from the mountain. This is the story of one such invitation.

I built (with AI) a free screenwriting app because I wasn't paying Final Draft prices
Hey everyone,
Before this gets filed under "just another ad": it's not. It's free, period. No subscription, no premium version, no ads, no account required. I have nothing to sell.
I wanted to write screenplays without paying for overpriced software, so I made Raging Page. It runs in your browser, it's open source (MIT), and it's available in English and French.
What's in it: industry-standard pagination, series with seasons and episodes, color revisions, locked pages (12A, 12B…), Fountain, .fdx and PDF import/export, focus mode, dark theme.
How saving works:
- Everything autosaves in your browser, no account needed.
- You can connect your Google Drive (optional): a copy gets updated automatically, and the app only sees its own files, never the rest of your Drive.
- On Chrome, Edge or Opera, you can also link your screenplay to a file on your computer, rewritten after every change.
I use it myself: all my screenplays are written on it now, and so far I haven't had any export or saving issues. But I'm just one user with one way of writing. The project is 100% vibe coded (AI, under my direction), so I've surely missed things. I need people who write differently than I do to tell me what breaks or what's missing.
Try it: https://mtaofficiel69-debug.github.io/ragingpage/

How do I find indie crew in Vancouver?
I'm 30 years old. I recently moved to New Westminster, BC from India. I'm extremely passionate about movies. I don't like Indian movies anymore.
I'm an amateur screenwriter. I wrote a thriller spec last year (a serial killer script like Se7en). Currently, I'm working on a micro-budget thriller that I actually want to direct (fingers crossed). I've also written two shorts. Everything's in script form. I wanna make something so passionate, beautiful... and haunting. RN, I'm all alone. I need a crew. Camera, sound, editing, actors... Could you guys guide me on how to connect with indie people? Any advice on how I should proceed with finding a crew to make a short or an indie?
Side note: I have a confession to make. From time to time, I think: am I too old to pursue this dream at this age? Did I waste my 20s? I definitely did. Also, trying to make a movie or start a film career in a country that is foreign to me-- is it far-fetched? Am I delusional?
