Hey everyone!
I've been building StartupsMap, a platform where people can discover startups, founders, and what they're building.
Over the past few weeks, I've onboarded around 65 startups. Some came through cold emails, some through outreach, and every new listing felt like a small win.
And recently, I made my first sale. š
It's not a huge amount of money, but it feels different when someone actually pays for something you've built.
A few things I'm learning along the way:
I'm still figuring things out, and StartupsMap is far from where I want it to be.
But 65 startups and the first sale have given me enough motivation to keep going.
I'm curious about other indie founders here:
What was your first sale like, and what actually helped you get it?
Would love to learn from your experiences.
For anyone curious: https://startupsmap.co.in/

Hey Guys!
I've been building something called Kitaphone, and I wanted to share the journey and get some genuine feedback.
The idea came from a simple problem: we have WhatsApp, FaceTime, and dozens of messaging apps, but what happens when you're abroad and need to call a regular phone number?
Your bank doesn't have WhatsApp. Neither does that government office you're trying to reach.
So I built Kitaphone a browser-based international calling platform.
I launched the product, got my first paying customers, and have been improving it based on real user feedback.
Building it has been an interesting experience. Getting something working is one challenge. Convincing strangers to trust it enough to make their first call is a completely different one.
I'm still figuring out distribution, onboarding, and how to communicate the value without sounding like another generic VoIP service.
I'd love some feedback from founders :
You can check it out at https://kitaphone.com
I'm building this independently, learning as I go, and would genuinely appreciate your thoughts, especially the critical ones.
Thanks Guys

I found out that for some cases the easiest way is just to found out your target group and dm people. I know that might be cringy but letās think about for a sec - in 10 days none will care or remember. So donāt wait just move on.
Iām using for example Indiepilot.app which is helping me with finding direct contact but you can use whatever app youād like to. if you are interested dm me we can schedule a call and talk about solutions how to get first clients to your startup.

I am Saif, from Hyderabad, India. For the last nine months I've been building AURENIX AI ā a no-code workspace where anyone can build AI agents and voice assistants without writing a single line of code. It's live at aurenixai.co and I'm opening private beta to this community.
What it does:
Create your own AI assistants (powered by GPT-5, Claude, or Gemini) and voice agents that actually listen and respond ā all from one dashboard. Think of it as a workspace where you build your own AI team instead of paying for 5 different subscriptions that don't talk to each other.
What you can test (free, no card):
Up to 3 custom AI Agents ā give them a role, pick a model, chat with them.
Up to 3 Voice Agents ā browser-based voice recognition + response.
Full analytics dashboard to see your usage.
What's intentionally locked during beta:
Knowledge Base (document upload / RAG) ā unlocking after beta.
Automation Workflows (visual builder with triggers, AI steps, actions) ā post-beta.
Core ($20) and Pro ($80) paid plans ā locked until I open paid tiers.
Honest limitations I want to call out:
Early beta ā expect at least one bug per session.
Voice works best in Chrome on desktop/laptop (Safari and mobile are rougher).
Voice email actions prepare a draft in your browser ā they don't send automatically yet.
Mobile UI is functional but desktop is where it shines.
The Story behind it:
I'm not a developer by training. My degree is in Bachelorās engineering. I work full-time as a Senior Workday Consultant at MNC Firm. I had no co-founder, no funding, no technical mentor ā just a laptop, Replit, Claude, and a lot of late nights.
The setbacks were real:
First UI attempt looked like a generic template ā scrapped it, redesigned every page from scratch.
Spent 8 hours debugging a single CSS bug that broke the dashboard.
Voice Agents initially just opened browser tabs and lied about "completing" actions ā had to rebuild the entire architecture into a proper structured tool system.
Had to teach myself React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, authentication security, CSRF protection ā all while delivering client work during the day.
How I kept going:
Honestly? I didn't have a choice. The vision was clearer than the code. Every time something broke I treated it as the product teaching me what it needed. I posted nothing publicly for 9 months, then shipped. Boring and effective.
What I need from this community:
Try it for 10 minutes.
Tell me what's broken, what's confusing, what you'd pay for, what you wouldn't.
Be brutal ā I'd rather hear "this sucks because X" than polite silence.

Buenas.

Hey Reddit! š I'm an indie developer from Sri Lanka, and I've been building something called SnapRank.
What if photography was more than just posting pictures and collecting likes?
šø Capture real photos with no filters or editing.
š¤ Get your photography analyzed by AI.
š Compete with photographers worldwide.
š Climb the rankings and improve your skills.
My goal is to make photography feel like a competitive game where every shot counts.
Would you use an app that ranks your photography using AI and real people's votes? What feature would make you want to open it every day?
I'd love to hear your honest opinions! š

Iāve been building Decision Theatre, a tool that helps people work through difficult decisions using structured prompts inspired by behavioural science.
One thing Iām trying to understand is the gap between someone being curious enough to visit your website and actually trying the product.
A visitor might not understand what the product does, might not see enough value in it, or might understand it perfectly well but not have a compelling reason to try it right now.
Those are very different problems, and Iām figuring out how to tell them apart.
For those whoāve launched products, how did you identify what was stopping people from taking that first step?
Did you focus on landing page messaging, showing the actual product and its outputs, or talking directly to people who visited but didnāt convert?
Iād love to hear what helped you distinguish a positioning problem from a lack of genuine demand.

I make ThreadFox. Itās now a hosted AI employee that researches, writes, publishes and follows up on Reddit for businesses, rather than a toolkit you install.
For other indie founders considering delegating outreach, hereās a brief structure Iād suggest borrowingāeven if youāre hiring a person:
The point is to delegate the work without delegating permission to invent your business.
With ThreadFox, you supply the business brief and give plain-language directions through a private panel. No customer AI account, installation or always-on computer is needed. We use an account you authorize, or one we arrange, allocated and verified before work starts. Community rules and truthful affiliation still apply; outreach isnāt a promise of sales.
Details: https://threadfox.vip/p/db7of
What would you add to that brief before trusting someone with your startupās public voice?

Hey everyone,
I realized I was spending way too much time manually writing practice questions instead of actually studying the material, so I decided to build a tool to automate it: glowit.io
You can upload a study document, PDF, or just paste your lecture notes, and it uses AI to automatically generate an interactive quiz based on the material.
A few things you can do with it:
* Instant quizzes from docs: Upload your files or notes and get tested on the key concepts right away.
* Play solo or with friends: You can use it for solo active-recall practice, or host a live multiplayer trivia game if you want to study with a group (or just compete with friends).
* No complex setup: Runs straight in the browser so you can jump right into a session.
You can try it out here: https://glowit.io
Iām actively working on improving it and would genuinely love to get some feedback from you guys. Does the question generation feel accurate for your specific subjects? Is there any feature that would make this more useful for your study routine?
Thanks for checking it out!

I'm part of a small team building Vyexa (vyexa.net). You paste a long YouTube video or podcast, and it finds the moments that work as 9:16 shorts and adds subtitles.
What I'm after: if you have an episode sitting without clips, drop the link and I'll reply with 3-4 moments I'd cut and why (hook, length). Free, no catch.
If you'd rather have finished clips, there's a pilot: 20 clips in 48h for $49, pay only after you confirm it fits (vyexa.net/clips-service?utm_source=reddit). Still early, so what's unclear or missing on the page is the most useful reply for me.

Hey founders,
I know a lot of you are going solo, and I get how much it can pile up: finding accelerators, chasing VCs, putting together pitch decks, and doing market research all at once.
We're trying to take some of that off your plate. We put together a tailored VC and angel list based on our research, and we're happy to share it with anyone who wants it.
Getting it is pretty easy. Just drop your startup link and we'll ask you a question and if its a match, we'll send you the link

Hey all,
Like many of you, I've saved hundreds of "IKEA hack" and furniture build videos... and built exactly zero of them. The problem: the video shows the result, but never the measurements, the cut list, or where to actually buy the materials.
So I built Cutlist ā you paste a TikTok/Reel/Shorts link (or upload a video), and it deconstructs the build into:
š A cut sheet with exact dimensions (metric or imperial), ready to hand to the saw desk at the hardware store
š A shopping list grouped by store (IKEA, Leroy Merlin, Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon) with quantities and price estimates
š§ Tools list with beginner-friendly swaps + safety notes
š Phased step-by-step instructions, with a hands-free "workshop mode" (big buttons, keeps your screen awake, optional voice readout)
There's a free tier (1 deconstruction/month) so you can try it without paying anything. There's also a small catalog of pre-deconstructed IKEA hacks (KALLAX, BILLY, IVAR, BESTĆ ...) you can browse right away.
Link: www.cutliststudio.com
What I'd love feedback on:
Overall design?
Is the cut list output actually usable at the cutting counter?
Are the material/price estimates in the right ballpark?
Would you trust AI-extracted measurements, or would you always double-check?
What platforms/creators should I make sure it handles well?
It's early access, so expect rough edges ā that's why I'm here.
Tear it apart. š

We launched on Product Hunt today, would love the support!
Hey guys we are building Within. We're aggregating inventory from independent fashion boutiques into a single shopping experience, starting with Toronto. The idea is to make it easier to discover interesting designers and pieces across smaller retailers without having to browse dozens of individual stores.
We currently have five boutiques on the platform for you to explore and will be adding new ones everyday. We're working on personalized discovery, and soon will be adding on-demand local delivery.
Would love feedback on the shopping experience, particularly discovery and how we could make it more useful than traditional fashion marketplaces.

so i've been working on this on nights and weekends while keeping my IT job. it's called Dossel (dosselco.com). basically small rural landowners who keep native vegetation on their land could be earning carbon credits for it, but they never do because getting a project certified is expensive and super technical. i handle that part and connect them with companies that buy the credits.
i built the backend (python/fastapi), pulled in the official rural land registry data, and i'm setting up satellite monitoring with sentinel-2 and google earth engine. a couple of people help me remotely with the geo and data stuff.
honestly the landowner side was easier than i thought. 15 of them are in already, around 2,000 hectares. what i didn't think through early enough is that the first project needs a lot of money upfront (audits, documentation, registry fees) and it takes over a year before any credit gets sold.
right now i'm stuck between looking for an angel, trying to pre-sell credits to a buyer, or giving a share to a bigger developer who covers the costs. not sure yet.
if anyone here has dealt with something like that, or just has thoughts on the idea, i'd really like to hear it

Hey indie founders!
Iāve built ThoughtWaveAI, a desktop AI that helps during customer calls, product demos, and important discussions.
It uses live audio, visual context, and relevant knowledge to surface useful insights, risks, and better questionsādelivering Real Intelligence at the Right Time.
It offers privacy-conscious local processing, with no meeting bot.
Would you give the beta a try and share your honest feedback? Especially what you find useful, distracting, or missing.
