I hate the weird anime head mask things that were blatantly made with ai 😡 i dislike ai usage (to be clear- generative ai usage not npc ai which has been in games for decades) but still enjoy inzoi cuz the ai was easy to avoid and not use and while I didn't like it being included at least respected that you could avoid it and that it was used in as ethical a manner as possible (trained on hired artists who consented to their art being used this way).

But the masks are less easy to avoid than the texture thing or the ai created mods :/ i dont want ai stuff in the base CAZ/Build mode stuff.

I think the Inzoi team has done a really good job of listening to people who dislike ai historically and i hope they continue to listen cuz I'm worried they'll stop doing as well if they keep adding in ai assets to the CAZ and Build Mode.

I really like the rest of the CAZ and build mode stuff tho (THOSE STAINED GLASS WINDOW/DOOR HELLO??) and cant wait to try out the new autonomy settings.

MCP in modkit has been available before this update - and the recent gameplay mods have very likely depended very heavily on that. The scale and speed of their production (plus other things) point to this. MCP is essentially - set up a connection between modkit and codex/claude/Gemini - you don’t have to write a single line of code if you don’t want to.

I will not name any mod(s) or the creator - but things are raising red flags for me, and for those who are not familiar with programming and/or script modding might not see the implications.

A creator has made claims they are highly experienced in a very similar field, but the severity, frequency and handling of bugs does not convince me ( plus other things) This is just my opinion, not an allegation.

The interesting part is that there is a significant difference between being able to generate code using AI and actually understanding how that code works.

What concerns me most is that some updates appear not to have been properly tested before release, with users effectively being asked to find out whether the fixes actually work. That’s particularly worrying with gameplay mods. poorly tested scripts can potentially cause crashes, break game function or even corrupt save files.

Bugs happen, even to experienced
developers. But the frequency, severity and approach to fixing them makes me question how well the code is understood.

I have no issue with AI assisted modding. It has saved me time. But it cannot replace certain aspects of mod development.

My concern is really that if rapid development takes priority over proper testing, the responsibility for finding potentially serious problems is effectively passed on to unsuspecting player. You, basically.

Edit - yes it’s the Zoiworks mods. I made another post to clarify my point and name the mods - as I think some people don’t fully get the implications. It is pending moderator approval.

I remember many of us had been asking for these puffs without the butterfly accessories after they were added last year!

The accessories were so specific that using them across multiple Zois felt unrealistically repetitive. Another issue was that if you used the Hair Length Slider on the hairstyle, the butterfly pins would stick out like in pic 4, making smaller puffs basically unusable.

Now we can use these puffs bigger or smaller, and on multiple zois, with no problem!

Finally! I can't wait to use this hairstyle more often 🥹♥️ It looks so much more natural

The October mini update has officially arrived!
Steam’s public build was updated earlier today, so players can now start trying out the features KRAFTON has been previewing over the past couple of weeks.

🛠️** Lua script modding is finally her**e, along with MCP integration for AI-assisted mod creation and new tools for modders.

🏡 There are also improvements to Zoi autonomy, more control over activities on public lots, free object positioning in Build Mode, and changes to social events and interactions.

The patch also includes additional customization options and various bug fixes.

👀 Most of these features were already announced, but now we can actually see how well they work in-game.
I’m especially curious about the new scripting tools and whether they’ll lead to more ambitious gameplay mods.
Has anyone tried the update yet? Any noticeable improvements or new issues?

Thank the lord, this was one thing I was worried about because we hadn't heard anything on it. This will allow interactive jobs and such to be much, much easier to make. Claude MCP was able to register a new blank level and teleport my char there without much trouble.

Press Ctrl+H in-game to open a small menu with a slider that lets you adjust your Zoi’s height. You can make them taller or shorter, and the mod remembers your chosen size.

Certain height combinations can cause some animations to look off or break, but overall it’s working okay! I’m still improving it, so I’d love to hear how it works for you.

Had to try the new hair on Valen, my surfer/rocker dude from Bliss Bay, and I’m obsessed! The length, layers, and tousled waves suit him so well.

I can’t wait for the December fame update so he can start a rock band with my other Zois and perform around Bliss Bay!

I absolutely love these effects. I used to have some special effect mods in the sims 4 and I'm so glad to have them in the base game cause there's so much fun stuff that can be done with them. They're so good and highly detailed!!

The Preferences Pack adds 128 new preferences to inZOI that your Zois can like or dislike - games, sports, music styles, the beach, TV, crafts, romance, self-care, chores, food and a little mischief. They're built like the game's own: a moodlet while doing it, a nudge to do it more (or less) on their own, a skill bonus where one fits, and Zois can discover them by doing things.

• Chess – a chess lover enjoys every match, a chess hater gets bored at the board
• Karaoke – some Zois live for the coin booth, others cringe
• Music styles – Jazz, K-Pop, EDM, Hip-Hop... finally a favourite genre
