There's something about the XR camera I still love
I have an iPhone 13 now, but sometimes I genuinely prefer the way photos look on my old XR haha
Anyone else feel the same about older iPhone cameras?

Hello all. Just wanted to let everyone know that we have finally implemented a couple of rules on this subreddit. Nothing special, just common sense stuff. The biggest change is that we no longer allow battery health posts and discussions/questions about bypassing iCloud Lock.
Happy posting!

I'm sharing this after seeing so many comments from people saying this started happening after the latest iOS update on their Xr, just in case it's happening to anyone else and they have any ideas.
I'm not sure if it's been happening to me since then either, because I always like to keep my device updated whenever a new version comes out. But this is really driving me crazy. I even tried uninstalling Safari and reinstalling it...
Looks like I'm going to end up having to switch to Edge or Chrome.

I’ve had my iPhone XR for a while now, but just the day before, I restarted it cause none of my apps would work, even though it was working before it happened, and then all of a sudden, I couldn’t connect to wifi or look at my apps or anything. What do I do?

I did it. Finally got iPhone 17 after 2.5 years of using Xr.

Fixed my iPhone XR's broken screen yesterday. I bought this phone back in 2019 and it served me well until I got bored of it, so I took off the case and screen protector and let fate do its work. Sure enough, my charger cable snagged on something while I was walking at work and the phone slammed straight into the concrete floor. I upgraded to a 13 Pro after that, and recently a 15 Pro.
Still, I have a soft spot for this phone. It was my first big boy purchase, paid for with money I saved from my first job in high school. At this point I'm convinced it's going to outlive me 😂
The kit was around $20 on Amazon with tools included, and the whole thing took me about an hour. It was relatively easy, though I kind of half-assed mine. If you're doing this on an XR you actually use as your daily phone, take your time, be really gentle, and follow the instructions and a YouTube video closely. Otherwise it's cake.
Might do the 🔋and back glass next just for fun.

I just was charging my phone when this box appeared on the top of my screen. I tried restarting and it didn’t go away. Note this phone has been used since 2018 when it first came out.

Hi and thank you in advance. I want to get an iphone xr mainly because I've been wanting it for months now. The 11 is just a "go 2". I'm getting the 256GB tho.
I want the XR because I'm into vintage aesthetic. Anything thing I should know or avoid before purchasing the XR? Or should I even purchase it?

So let me begin my issue with my XR phone.
I am basically using this XR phone since I have purchased this in 2018, no major problems with my phone. It keeps on functioning even after 8 years of use. But recently my phone had a Mobile Service error sign popped up which stops me from using my own mobile data network from a provider until I make an update to the IOS 18.7.10. I am currently running IOS 17.4.1 version. When I tried installing to the latest software version which I already mentioned, the verifying update was basically stuck even after 10 plus more hours of it showing it. I could not even force restart it. So when the battery died, I was able to use my phone again and I checked again which says software update failed. Now I have already deleted the corrupted IOS 18 update. What should I do now, should I bring to Apple Store for a fix or what. Many thanks to anyone who could provide an explanation

Switched to iphone 16 & 17 last year but I know it in my heart of heart, no other iphone will replace my love for my XR. It was my first firsthand phone that my father had gifted me in 2019. only 64 gb but it sustained. It could no longer run properly and had developed cracks which compelled me to purchase a new one. Feels like a time capsule. Still works fine though

The App Store is showing required iOS 26 or later. Till when can I use this?
Will I not be able to download it if I reset the phone?
I really wanted to use this for another year.

I'm using an iPhone XR and I'm seeing a strange issue with UPI registration.
The same SIM card and bank account work normally on another phone.
On this iPhone XR:
Working
Not Working
The failures happen during the device registration / bank account setup process.
I'm mainly trying to understand whether this is an issue specific to my device or something other iPhone XR users have also encountered.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
