You can hide the gold together or separately but the second a single bar is found the challenge is over and you walk away with nothing.

Once you are done hiding it, time unfreezes and everyone in your city is instantly alerted that $500 million worth of solid gold bars are hidden in your city and if they can find it they can keep it.

The people you choose to help you hide the gold have their memories instantly wiped and can be on the hunt for it.

Are you accepting? What’s your plan?

Curse 1: You can never travel more than 20 miles in a single day.

Curse 2: Every queue you are in is instantly 30 minutes longer.

Curse 3: Your phone never charges past 35% no matter how long you charge it.

Curse 4: There’s a 20% chance you shit yourself whenever you fart

Curse 5: You are constantly sweating no matter where you are or how cold it is.

Which one would you pick?

A mean serial killer has kidnapped you and your best friend. He offers you 3 choices. If you kill your best friend you will be freed. If you jump into a 1000ft hole your best friend will be freed. Or you both can try fighting him together. He’s about 7 ft tall and 400 pounds. What do you do?

Your best friend is offered the same choices. If you choose to fight the killer, you both gotta agree. The killer is pretty athletic, used to informal fighting. Like maybe wrestling with friends and stuff.

The killer has no best friend. Never did.

Anyway what do you do?

What's the minimum amount of money per day that you would accept 30ft centipede to follow you everywhere?

Centipede is completely indestructible

Centipede likes you and is friendly. It might protect you if you are attacked

You can ride it if you are tired of walking. It can follow your car at highway speeds

If you accept, you have to keep it up for at least two months. You can quit later, but not resume.

Loopholes Encouraged $50/minute, but every hour you see through a random stranger's eyes for 5 minutes

- At the start of every hour, your vision switches to the eyes of a random awake adult somewhere on Earth for 5 minutes. Then your own vision comes back.

- You can't hear, smell or feel anything from them. Only vision.

- The stranger has a bad feeling about being intruded by someone, but they don't actually know.

- You can't choose who it is, and it's never the same person twice.

- It happens even while you are asleep. You wake up seeing through their eyes.

- You can pay $15/minute for Home View, which shows your own vision as a small window in the corner during those 5 minutes.

- You can pay $8/minute for Country Filter, which lets you choose which country the stranger is from.

- You can pay $34.95/minute for Gender Filter, which lets you choose the stranger's gender.

- You can deactivate this curse anytime, but you can only reactivate after 2 years.

Would you take this curse?

Humor Encouraged You replace one organ for the organ of any fictional character

So, let’s say you get the chance to replace any one organ (so one kidney, not both) with the organ of any fictional character (prosthetics, like the arm of the winter soldier count).

If they have powers, it only applies to the organ that was replaced, so if you get Wolverine’s liver, your liver can regenerate, but the rest of you will not.

Your brain is the only organ that cannot be replaced.

Which organ or limb are you replacing if any?

You can pay a one-time lump sum to outsource all cleaning and household upkeep for the rest of your life. What is your absolute max bid?

Every single night while you are asleep, an undetectable, instantaneous service resets your entire home.
Dinner dishes, crusty high chairs, rogue toy explosions, mountains of family laundry, scattered backpacks, and bathroom chaos completely vanish.

By the time you wake up, everything is washed, folded, put away, and organized exactly to your personal standards and preferences.

Surfaces are wiped, floors are clean, and your home is in a perpetual state of pristine order. You never have to touch a sponge, match a rogue sock, or spend your precious evening hours picking up after anyone ever again.

The Catch: It is a one-time, non-refundable lump sum payment upfront for lifetime service.

Think about the real cost. It’s not just the physical labor—it’s the two hours every single night after the kids finally go down that you spend resetting the house instead of resting, pursuing hobbies, or spending time with your partner. It's the weekend hours lost to deep cleaning instead of living. Time is money, and sanity has a price tag.

The Question:

Factoring in your current income, family life, and the literal years of your life you'd claw back from the chores abyss, what is the absolute maximum one-time lump sum you would wire today to make this your permanent reality?

ReSpawn Power or $1,000,000

You're given a red pill or blue pill.

If you take the blue pill, and you're given $1,000,000 as a gift. You can spend it anyway you like.

If you take the red pill, and you're told that if you die, you'll respawn (Groundhog Day style) at the start of the same day you died, cured of whatever killed you (hit by a train, shot by a gun, cancer). You have knowledge of the events of the day you died but nobody else does. If you don't die, you get to the next day. Like everyone else.

If you choose red pill, you will be able to be a bit of a super hero, or super criminal. You will however live life forever until you are the last human alive. You will witness the rest of human history, and once every human has died off, you will keel over and die.

It could be millions of years.

Which do you choose?

Basically I want to hear wacky things people would do with the respawn power.

EDIT to address the most common question: when you die and respawn you have perfect health. Your outward appearance will appear to be a Rasin type of person. You may not be attractive as a 200 year old, but you will be the richest person ever.

[No Loopholes] Pick one: $1 billion in cash, but zero power — you can never hold office, run a company, or have a single person work for you. Or: you rule your city, every major decision is yours — but your personal assets can never exceed $100,000, and you can never cash in on your power. Which one?

Humor Encouraged You get 20 bucks a day, provided that each time you eat a banana (or banana flavored foods) you shout "WOOHOO!" and do five seconds of jumping jacks.

You get a crisp, legitimate $20 each morning, but any time you consume any amount of banana, or something with banana flavoring in it (real or artificial), you must jump up, shout "WOOHOO!" and do jumping jacks for at least five seconds. If you are medically non-mobile, you may substitute with five seconds of enthusiastic arm waving.

You do not receive a compulsion to perform this action - you are responsible for remembering and completing the task within five minutes of your first bite of banana/flavored substance. Otherwise, $20 will be deducted automatically from your bank account or wallet per infraction. Any minute trace of banana or flavoring counts, provided it is intentionally a part of the dish and it is marketed/labeled reasonably as "banana".

You are only required to do this once per food per occasion (i.e. eating a banana means you have to do it once, not with every bite, but if you eat a banana in the morning and another at lunch, you have to do it twice).

The offer is optional, and can be stopped but not restarted. Oh, and if you don't eat any bananas or flavored foods, free money, I guess. Go.... bananas??

edit: I have a fever and forgot that cars exist, sorry to all you banana-lovers in vehicles!!

Genie offers you a deal: you can change anything about how you look, and the changes are genetic. The one thing you can't control is your height. Each day you are either 25% shorter or 25% taller than average, scaling that much in all dimensions. Do you take the deal?

75% height means 42% of normal weight. 125% of height means 195% of normal weight. All of your clothes shrink or grow to match, because magic: this is about how you look, not your wardrobe.

If you're taking a photo of yourself, you look exactly the same whether you're tiny or giant, as long as you aren't standing next to something like a door, or another person, that can be used to judge your height.

Some people might prefer one of the options (tiny or giant), so that's why you have to deal with both, since you won't like at least one of them.

This is supposed to be all about how you look: you can remove all of your tummy fat. But that won't do anything about the negative effects of unhealthy habits like smoking. If you do happen to be way outside of the normal weight range, you might see some bigger health benefits, but is it worth being tiny or gigantic?

You can predict your size for five days in advance: if you're an actor, you can schedule filming for when you'll be the appropriate size, without inconvenient surprises.

Appearance changes are limited to four standard deviations: if you want to become muscular, you can become more muscular than 31559 out of 31560 people — you can't become the Hulk.

Loopholes Encouraged World Peace (or world nonviolence) by tomorrow

When you wake up the next day you realize that someone has implemented World Peace through supernatural means.

World Peace will be achieved in extremely passive ways. Some examples include:

  1. If you swing a sword at someone's head your arm will stop moving before the blade touches their skin. No matter how hard you try, it will not move forwards. If you are holding a spear pointed at someone and someone else tries to shove you forwards to impale them, the person pushing you will freeze and be unable to touch you as well. This causal chain is unlimited. If everyone in the world tries to harm each other at the same time, everyone will be frozen into non-action.
  2. If you attempt to harm someone whilst in a moving vehicle, the vehicle will be forcibly frozen and its engine will be shut off before it hits anyone or anything. The deceleration will not be felt by the passengers. If there are vehicles behind that would crash into you because of this enforced stillness, they will also be frozen. There is also no limit to this causal chain. If there are 1000 cars on the highway moving at 100 mph and the first driver decides to ram a pedestrian, you will get 1000 frozen cars and 999 irate drivers.
  3. Weapons can still be freely manufactured. However, the moment that their activation would injure a person they will fail to work. Pointing a gun at someone, the gunpowder will simply fail to ignite. Pressing a detonator wired to a bomb will not trigger a detonation as long as someone is within the injury radius.
  4. It is still possible to injure someone, but only if you truly intend it to be beneficial. For example, surgeons can still cut you. However, the instant they would injure you unnecessarily, their hand will be unable to move forwards. This extends to if they would accidentally cut an artery or something, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a surgeon suddenly going crazy and acting on his intrusive thoughts. Likewise, tattoo artists can still make tattoos.
  5. This does not cover self-harm or true accidents that are not caused by humans. A bird strike can still crash a plane and kill everyone onboard. You can still stab yourself either on purpose or by accident.

This state of affairs will last for 1 week, at which point you are given the option of keeping this anti-violence mechanism, or reverting back to normal unmodified reality.

What do you choose?

[No Loopholes] Ability to hear what people think of you, but only with 87% accuracy

You will be able to “hear” exactly what they are thinking about you when someone near you (talking distance) is having an opinion about you. But with 13% chance it will be something completely different. For example, a person might be thinking “oh there’s a ketchup stain on the shirt”, but you might hear “this person is really attractive” or “I hate their guts”. It wouldn’t be a constant stream of thoughts, but rather a quick sentence type of a deal happening maybe once in a few conversations. You can try to rationalize it as much as you can and convince yourself what you heard is true/false as well. As in, there will be no issues if you’re certain that your friends and family love you and your significant other isn’t planning on a luxurious life with the life insurance money they got after your tragic accident. Would you take the ability?

Serious Replies Only Every pregnancy now involves a random, reciprocal embryo swap between two women anywhere in the world. You give birth to another family's biological child, while that family gives birth to yours. Would you keep the baby or try to exchange it?

Scientists experimenting with a quantum computer accidentally trigger a worldwide phenomenon while researching the quantum teleportation of human DNA.

From that moment onward, every newly conceived human embryo is exchanged with another embryo somewhere in the world before implantation.

The effect is permanent. Scientists announce their discovery to the public after a short delay. Unfortunately, reversing the phenomenon would risk destroying the entire universe.

How it works:

  • Every exchange involves exactly two pregnant women. Their embryos swap places during the earliest stage of pregnancy, before implantation.
  • The women can live anywhere in the world. Distance, nationality, ethnicity, and ancestry have no effect on who gets paired with whom.
  • The exchange is reciprocal. If an American woman receives a Chinese couple's embryo, that same Chinese woman receives the American couple's embryo.
  • Each embryo is exchanged only once. After implantation, pregnancy proceeds normally.
  • The children retain their original DNA. Their genetic parents can be identified through DNA testing.
  • The pregnancy works like ordinary gestational surrogacy. The woman carrying the baby does not change its genetic ancestry, but her health, nutrition, and prenatal care can affect its development.
  • The exchange itself causes no medical complications. All the usual risks of pregnancy still apply.

Imagine you're an American couple expecting your first child.

Your baby is born with East Asian ancestry, even though neither of you has that ancestry. DNA testing confirms that the child is biologically unrelated to either of you.

However, thanks to the reciprocal exchange, you know that the woman carrying your biological child is the same woman whose child you just delivered.

That gives you a clue. If the baby has Chinese ancestry, its biological parents may live in China, although they could also live anywhere else in the world.

You can register the child's DNA, search international databases, and try to find the other family.

But there's a problem.

What if the other family doesn't want to exchange children? What if they love the baby they gave birth to and have no interest in finding their biological child?

What if you want your biological baby back, but you've already grown attached to the child you've been raising?

And what happens when the two families have radically different living conditions? Your biological child might be developing in a well-equipped hospital or in a region affected by famine, where the pregnant woman cannot obtain adequate nutrition.

What would you do?

Would you raise the child you gave birth to, or immediately begin searching for the other family to arrange an exchange?

Other You wake up one morning and from then on, you're ''Immortal''. What now? More info down below...

Here's how your immortality works...

  1. You possess a Deadpool-like healing factor, but will only activate after you die, otherwise you're indistinguishable from a regular person until your death. Even if destroyed at the cellular level so there's nothing left, if a piece of you is still around (Like a finger or a blood sample), you will reform from that piece. Also, if you die from illness or poisoned, either will vanish upon regenerating as if they never entered your body to begin with.
  2. You will continue to age, but when dying (Either of old age or otherwise), your body will return to 18 years old and start aging up like a normal person again.
  3. Your memory capacity is improved, allowing you to remember everything in your new immortal existence.
  4. You still need food, water, air and sleep like any other person. Deprivation of any will lead to your death, but will then regenerate and reanimate in about three minutes, having your hunger, thirst, breath and energy restored to normal.
  5. You can still reproduce, but none of your children or their descendants will inherit your immortality.
  6. There's another immortal somewhere around the world, you're killed by them or kill each other, you'll die for good.

With all of that, what's your next move as an immortal being? Will you seek the other immortal?

You Can Change Time to Prevent Any Crime from Occurring, But You Will Be Accused of the Same or Equivalent Crime by Someone Else

Any crime that occurs from here on out, you can alter time/reality such that it never occurs. But no one will know you prevented it from happening except you.

But you will be accused of committing the same or similar crime by someone else even though you are innocent.

The only evidence against you will be the word of your accuser and the evidence that the crime occurred, but you are not the person who committed the crime. It’s not guaranteed either way whether you get convicted or exonerated. The crime you’re accused of is completely unrelated to the one you prevented, other than the fact it’s the same crime (different victim, location, etc)

You get $2k tax free for every mile (1.6 kilometers) that you drive during a 33-hour period, but the first 1000 miles don't count.

The counter starts at 1001 miles. If you drive 1500 miles within 33 hours, you'll get $1M tax free for the 500 extra miles. Here's the catch: You have to announce in advance how many extra miles after the initial 1000 miles you're going for. You can announce whatever number you like: 444, 500, 642, etc.

If you hit your extra miles goal within the 33 hours, you'll get the money. If you exceed your goal, you still only get paid for the extra miles that you announced. If you don't hit your goal, you don't get anything. You can set off at any time of the day you like. You have to set off from your current home.

You have to provide your own car and you have to pay for fuel and road tolls and any other associated costs (parking, food, hotel, fines). If anyone/anything forces you to stop, the clock keeps on ticking. If your car breaks down, tough luck, the clock keeps on ticking. If your car can't continue, you can buy another car or rent one or borrow a car from friends/family, but you can't have someone drive behind with you in a second backup car. If you don't have a car and don't want to buy one, you can rent a car or borrow a car from someone. You can't swap the car you're driving for another one as long as it's working normally and it's able to cruise at highway speeds. You can visit friends and family on the road, but you can't announce your visit in advance. You can only contact them once you're less than 100 miles away from their home.

You must be alone in the car at all time. You can't use cruise control or any self-drive assists. The only assist you can use is lane keeping. You can drive as fast you want. You can eat and drink whatever you want. You can sleep wherever you want. You have to be traveling away from your home at all time. You can't drive in a circle around your city or drive 750 miles there and 750 miles back.

How many extra miles do you announce and what's your strategy to hit your extra miles goal?

Would you prefer to go back to when you were 10, or back just 10 years?

Would you prefer to go back to when you were 10 years old, knowing all you know now, and knowing that no one takes advice from a child, or would you prefer to go back 10 years knowing all you know now?
If you went back to when you were 10, you would still know everything you know now, and still have your current level of mental maturity, so you would have to act like a kid, while knowing that no one ever takes kids advice as serious.

If you go back 10 years, knowing all you know now, well, only you know how your life might change then...

Since people ask.

You would travel back in time, You would NOT rejuvenate and remain in today. If you chose to go back 10 years, you would go back to Oct. 2016. If you chose to go back to when you were 10 years old, then you would go back in time to when you were a child and get to redo your life again. knowing all you know now.

For the next 8 minutes, you have incredible gambling luck and cursed with a tiny bladder

You are at a BlackJack Table in a resort casino.

Magical entity did this to you for shits and giggles.

Rules:

  1. You cannot leave the table otherwise effects are null. Winnings can be taken, but extra luck is gone. Leave only when you want to keep your winnings.
  2. You start with $50. Your first “magical bet” must start at $50. You can double it for every hand. You have that money in chips.
  3. Effects-wise, you win or draw every hand. No losses at all. However, your bladder is nerfed, and you gotta whiz REALLY BAD. The moment you have a bathroom accident at the table, luck is over.

Winnings are not forfeit, but you get 8 years of bad luck for games of chance.

How do you play?

You have 5 years to turn an unexpected country into the next space superpower. What's your pick?

Currently, only 3 countries can independently send humans to space: the US, Russia, and China, who was the last to join this group, 23 years ago.

You're put in charge of a massive international space program with virtually unlimited funding and access to the world's best scientists and engineers.

You have 5 years to help one country of your choice develop the capability to independently send humans into space. You can build new facilities, train astronauts, develop rockets, and establish whatever infrastructure is necessary.

Which country do you choose to make the achievement as surprising as possible, and why?

Holding a backpack for someone?

You’re at the dog park when you see an acquaintance walking toward you. They’re a friend of a friend, and you’ve never had a bad interaction with them.
They wave, and you exchange polite small talk. They get a text, and all the color drains from their face. They tell you they have to go—a family emergency—and they have to go fast! Could you please hold their backpack for them? They’ll contact your mutual friend to get their backpack back, but right now, they have to GO, and the backpack will slow them down. “Could you please take it?!?”

1. Do you take the backpack?

After they’re out of sight, you hear sirens, and police officers rush in, searching the park and surrounding neighborhoods. You look nothing like their suspect, so they let you and your dog leave.

2. Do you tell the cops about the person you just talked to? You have no proof that the acquaintance had anything to do with whatever crime occurred. It might just be odd timing.

3. If you agreed to hold their backpack, would you look inside it? If so, when?

4. Would your dog’s reaction to the person influence your decision?

You become one of the owners of the US Debt

Your father tells you you come from a long line of debt owners. The biggest account is the US national debt. He tells you that during your great grandfather time the debt was low so the government slowly pays dividend to the different owners. But during his time the debt has grew so much that they decided each of owner of the debt gets a no limit charge card for daily spending. They believe that instead of paying back interest, letting the owners spend their own portion of the debt is a quicker way to pay off this debt (cause there would be reckless spenders)

Now your father is passing this charge card to you. There are no strings attached except some of the debt owners want to keep the debt level high so they can forever keep this unlimited charge card. Your family was likely part of the ones who want to keep the debt level high instead of spending it all ... thats why you've lived your life the way you've been living up until this moment.

What are you doing to do? Are you going to live a debt free life or will you go on a spending spree for your own benefits?

Would you rather never have to pay for food again or eat whatever you want the rest of your life without gaining weight?

The first part of this hypothetical allows you to purchase food anywhere, at any time, and it will always be free for you. This doesn't extend to family members or anyone else.

Or

You can assign nutritional values to the foods you're consuming (though most people would assign 0 calories to things like donuts and ice cream). This means, if you're eating a slice of pizza, you could say it's worth 50 calories and that's how your body would process it. This way, you can eat as much without gaining weight, but you can gain weight if need be.
