Loopholes Encouraged $50/minute, but every hour you see through a random stranger's eyes for 5 minutes

• Upvotes

- At the start of every hour, your vision switches to the eyes of a random awake adult somewhere on Earth for 5 minutes. Then your own vision comes back.

- You can't hear, smell or feel anything from them. Only vision.

- The stranger has a bad feeling about being intruded by someone, but they don't actually know.

- You can't choose who it is, and it's never the same person twice.

- It happens even while you are asleep. You wake up seeing through their eyes.

- You can pay $15/minute for Home View, which shows your own vision as a small window in the corner during those 5 minutes.

- You can pay $8/minute for Country Filter, which lets you choose which country the stranger is from.

- You can pay $34.95/minute for Gender Filter, which lets you choose the stranger's gender.

- You can deactivate this curse anytime, but you can only reactivate after 2 years.

Would you take this curse?

[No Loopholes] Pick one: $1 billion in cash, but zero power — you can never hold office, run a company, or have a single person work for you. Or: you rule your city, every major decision is yours — but your personal assets can never exceed $100,000, and you can never cash in on your power. Which one?

Would you prefer to go back to when you were 10, or back just 10 years?

• Upvotes

Would you prefer to go back to when you were 10 years old, knowing all you know now, and knowing that no one takes advice from a child, or would you prefer to go back 10 years knowing all you know now?
If you went back to when you were 10, you would still know everything you know now, and still have your current level of mental maturity, so you would have to act like a kid, while knowing that no one ever takes kids advice as serious.

If you go back 10 years, knowing all you know now, well, only you know how your life might change then...

- You can pay $2/minute for the Filter mode, which only notifies you of violent crimes and crimes against children.

Would you prefer to have 1 million USD immediately or magical Bank Account that gives 10% returns guaranteed for lifetime?

You have been given a choice to make.

You can either take 1 million USD tax free, completely legal or you can get a bank account(any bank account of your choosing) where you are offered lifetime of 10% returns guaranteed.

So it does not matter whether stock market crashes or there is great depression. You will get your annualized return of 10%.

There is no lock in period on this account.

You can freely add or remove money from it. It is essentially bank account with all bank features in it. You can even move it to another bank if you want. Though at a given time you can only have one account. Your money is guaranteed to be safe even if bank closes permanently. You can just have it moved magically to another bank of your choosing. Magic will handle the legality of it.

Restriction:
1)You can not put other people's money in it(this is to avoid the scenario where you use this account as business). Money in this account must belong to you. Inherited or gifted money is fine because legally that money became yours. No loopholes. This is supposed to be your account only.

2)You pay whatever tax your country charges on money in bank account.

So essentially choice is between lot of money one time or the safest guaranteed investment option that gives good returns for life.

Loopholes Encouraged A deadly super bug will ravage humanity in five years. You have $1,000,000,000 and immunity. How do you prepare?

It’s as infectious as COVID, but with a 90% fatality rate and two month incubation time. The virus will burn out and die within three years. You can preemptively quarantine your family and everyone you care for though if you want them to stay safe. You do have five years of respite, and you want to avoid pissing all the money away and having nothing left over for a bunker if you want to survive.

Other You wake up one morning and from then on, you're ''Immortal''. What now? More info down below...

• Upvotes

Here's how your immortality works...

  1. You possess a Deadpool-like healing factor, but will only activate after you die, otherwise you're indistinguishable from a regular person until your death. Even if destroyed at the cellular level so there's nothing left, if a piece of you is still around (Like a finger or a blood sample), you will reform from that piece. Also, if you die from illness or poisoned, either will vanish upon regenerating as if they never entered your body to begin with.
  2. You will continue to age, but when dying (Either of old age or otherwise), your body will return to 18 years old and start aging up like a normal person again.
  3. Your memory capacity is improved, allowing you to remember everything in your new immortal existence.
  4. You still need food, water, air and sleep like any other person. Deprivation of any will lead to your death, but will then regenerate and reanimate in about three minutes, having your hunger, thirst, breath and energy restored to normal.
  5. You can still reproduce, but none of your children or their descendants will inherit your immortality.
  6. There's another immortal somewhere around the world, you're killed by them or kill each other, you'll die for good.

With all of that, what's your next move as an immortal being? Will you seek the other immortal?

You are given an identical clone that will obey every command but once a year he gets free will

You are given an exact identical clone of yourself to do with as you please.

They will do anything you command him without complaint and as efficiently as you could. They also have a copy of your memories.

You could send them to work at your job for you or pick up your groceries, anything you want. You could even work multiple jobs at the same time

However once a year, on your birthday to be exact, he gets free will.

For 24 hours, your clone can do whatever it wants both legal and illegal. It will ignore all your commands and act as its own person. It will access your deepest darkest desires/memories and act accordingly to them.

Secretly wish your boss is dead? Your clone will now try kill your boss

Secretly want to rob a bank? Boom your clone tried to rob a bank.

It has access to everything you have but is limited to whatever you can physically do or have access to.

They have your exact build and strength

Would you accept the deal and take the clone? How do you prepare for their day of free will.

You can't die

You can't die or be harmed in any way and you can't feel pain. You don't need any sustenance whatsoever (food, water, oxygen...). You can also fly and you have super strength.

You can enter your mind (not physically, but like in a state of lucid reminiscence): you'll see memories floating all around you and you can choose one to relive it as if you were there (you can filter through years, locations, people, feelings or anything else).

You also have the power to choose whatever destination you want to go to just by thinking about it and if it physically exists, you can spawn a portal for that destination (you can't create or modify something, it already has to exist); the portal will spawn with a chosen number/name and will be bound by your magic touch: if you touch something (or someone) voluntarily while thinking about the chosen portal, that thing can pass through it. You can spawn an infinite number of portals (one at a time) and you can always choose to close or delete a portal.

You'll transform into your ideal body in perfect health and you'll be like that forever. Do you accept the transformation?

Basically, would you live forever with these powers or would you prefer to remain a normal human?

What would you do if you can create how many clones of yourself you want?

-They got feelings and needs like the original. But only a half of the needs of the original (sleep, eating and so on).

-They could duplicate themselves too

-They could do your works, but not too many works (at least 2 per day and not more, or they're gonna rebel)

Loopholes Encouraged If an average person we will call Eve was made completely immortal. How long would it take for her to accomplish true world peace?

She is completely immortal and cannot die from wounds, old age, sickness, anything. She will regenerate from a single atom if reduced to that state and the immortality will continue until True World Peace (No Murder or Rape or Torture by a human on a fellow human) is achieved for a whole year. Only then she is made mortal.

If that is impossible then can this be accomplished if she can choose 9 other people to be immortal alongside her? And/or she can do all the miracles Jesus Christ could reportedly do in the Bible giving her faux legitimacy? Like turning water to wine.

Edit: Edited out no physical violence upon a fellow person as the definition of world peace- Too unrealistic.

You can fall asleep instantly, but you have to choose how long and there is no way to reverse it.

Would you use a button, an alarm clock/timer type device that you set the amount of time to sleep, and once you do it you will not be able to wake up until the time has passed, not for an intruder, loud noises, shaken by someone, etc.

You can choose as long or as short as you please, but once you use the device you cannot use it again for 12 hours, AND you won’t be able to fall asleep on your own. So using it for a 30 min nap may not be a good idea.

No matter how short the duration of sleep, you wake up feeling well rested.

You can choose not to use it, and fall asleep normally at any time, as long as it’s been 12 hours since its last use.

You can start/stop using the device whenever you want.

For $1,000 a day, there is now a 10% that a random professional boxer spawns in your bathroom and beats you up

For $1000 a day, there is now a 10% that whenever you or anyone else in your home opens your bathroom door or enters your bathroom, prime Mike Tyson magically spawns in and beats you up.

Upon spawning, he will instantly fight you for a maximum of 10 minutes or until you are knocked unconscious. He can chase you around your home and outside but will initially spawn in your bathroom.

You cannot reason with him or bargain with him, he’s pissed at you for whatever and he wants it back in blood.

He only targets the person who entered and spawned him in and is completely intangible to everyone but the person.

If you somehow beat Tyson by knocking him out or making him surrender, he will not spawn again for 6 months no matter what.

You can use weapons but only melee weapons and items you can actually acquire realistically

Do you accept the deal?

You get $1 million, but your best friend gets $10 million if you refuse it. Nobody will ever know which choice you made. What are you doing?

Imagine you have to make the decision right now.

If you take the $1 million, your best friend gets nothing. If you refuse it, they receive $10 million instead.

You can't split the money, tell them about the offer, or change the rules. Your friend will never know this choice even existed, and nobody will judge you for whatever you decide.

Be honest: would you take the million and keep it a secret, or walk away knowing your best friend could become ten times richer?

I'm curious how many people would actually turn down a million dollars when nobody would ever find out.

Loopholes Encouraged Consulting for Thanos Snap

Thanos is going to eliminate exactly half of Earth's population. However, he's giving you the opportunity to issue three decrees that determine who lives and who dies.

The rules:

You get three decrees. Each decree must contain fewer than 25 words.

Each decree can condemn or protect any objectively identifiable group of people. You can also specify proportions.

Order matters. Your first decree overrides your second, and your second overrides your third.

Exactly 50% of humanity must die. If your decrees would protect or condemn more people than the 50/50 outcome allows, the magic automatically caps their effects by randomly selecting which members of the affected group are included.

Anyone unaffected by your decrees enters a random lottery to fill the remaining death quota.

The magic knows past and present objective facts, but has no inherent understanding of human morality. Wording is everything. Saying "kill all murderers" could include soldiers, people acting in self-defense, and others you might consider innocent.

Nobody knows you're involved or whether they've been selected. Everyone assumes it's simply Thanos being Thanos.

Anyone selected to die disappears upon entering REM sleep, avoiding immediate disasters involving pilots, drivers, surgeons, etc.

Your objective is entirely your own.

Loopholes Encouraged Tomorrow, all money in banks disappears, all debts are erased, and only physically accessible cash survives. What happens next?

Tomorrow, every bank account, investment/savings balance, mortgage, credit card balance, corporate reserve, and government treasury resets to $0. All debts are permanently erased, but so is all money held in banks, including cash in their vaults. The only money that survives is physical cash you can actually access outside the banking system, whether it’s in your wallet, under your mattress, or in a cash register. Property, businesses, and other physical assets remain intact. Nobody gets advance warning. What happens next?

Humor Encouraged You get $200k tax-free per year to livestream your life 24/7. Would you take the deal?

Rules:

  • You can activate the deal whenever you want.
  • You must complete 1 full year to receive $200k. The counter then resets for the next payment.
  • You get 3 breaks per day, each lasting 30 minutes. During breaks, the stream completely stops, and you can do whatever you want privately. Unused breaks don't stack.
  • The camera and microphone are magical: unlimited battery, perfect internet connection, no technical failures, and they work anywhere.
  • You must wear them everywhere, including while sleeping, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • No muting, covering the camera, or prerecorded footage outside breaks.
  • You can work, study, travel, and socialize normally, but everything is broadcast publicly.
  • You can quit anytime, but you lose any unpaid earnings. Once you quit once, the deal is over permanently

Are you taking the deal?

You’re awaiting trial on charges of murder and are given the choice between being placed in jail or having armed guards accompany you wherever you go

You’ve been arrested and charged with murder, but haven’t been convicted. The court is giving you a choice between being in jail or having armed guards accompany wherever you go until the trial.

If you choose the first option you would be stuck in jail until your trial but you wouldn’t have armed guards accompanying you wherever you go.

If you choose the second option you would be allowed to walk free until the trial, but armed guards would accompany you everywhere you go.

Which option do you choose?

An evil spirit wiped your existence out of everybody's memory. Nobody knows you nor remembers you ever existed. Then you get to choose: would you rather go on with your new life or cease to exist?

Bit of a dark one, but here are a few clarifications for this hypothetical:

  1. You are still you, same age, same appearance.

  2. In your new life, you have some passive, median income, working from home and not interacting with anyone. You live in your current city in a decent apartment. You're not poor but definitely can't afford much.

  3. There's no physical evidence you've ever existed, no photos, social media account or anything.

  4. You do legally exist, you've paid all your taxes and have no criminal record.

  5. As said in the title, nobody knows you. You have no way to convince anyone that they used to know you. If you contact your spouse, kids, parents etc, they'll probably think you're a creep and might call the cops on you.

Your dilemma:

A. This is your life now. You might struggle making new friends or improving your very basic situation, but it's a fresh start, for better of for worse.

B. You're opting out. You're telling the evil spirit you're not interested, you get a good meal, go to sleep and disappear. You're not even dead, you're just as inexistent as your memory. No pain, no fear, just the big nothingness.

What do you choose and why? Make any assumptions you want.

Loopholes Encouraged You’re secretly eavesdropping outside your boss’s office when you overhear something that could change your career forever. Suddenly, a colleague rounds the corner and catches you standing there, listening. Would you take the consequences, or try to stop them from telling your boss about it?

The boss is a manipulative psychopath. If he knows, then your five years of hard work for the promotion ment to occur next month was for nothing. And you'll get fired, in this economy!!

Physical intervention outside the bosses officedoor: Stop them from reaching the door by force.

Escalate: Enter the office yourself uninvited, and lock the door behind you so your colleague can't get in to tell about it.

Confess: Admit what you did and try to explain yourself.

Lie: Invent a convincing excuse for why you were standing there that makes the colleague look real bad.
