Question Which Onefam Hostel in Prague?
I’m looking to book one of the Onefam hostels in Prague but don’t know which one to pick. Thinking either Home or Old Town, which one should I go for?

Hello, so we're planning a trip to Berlin (4 friends, mixed genders) and are looking for cheap hostel options. Unfortunately, the hostels that we like only have mixed dorms left for the selected date. Now I don't mind sharing a mixed dorm with my male friends, but I don't want to be in a dorm with random men I don't know. So I'm thinking, if all 4 of us book at the same time, what are the chances that they give us the same 4-bed dorm? We're using Booking and it doesn't say how many of these dorms they have left.
Also, let's say that one person books for all 4 people, does that mean we'll automatically get the same room?
I know this all may sound very stupid, but we're all a bit inexperienced with travelling and staying in hostels. So any tips are welcome.

I’m talking earplugs-don’t-help loud. Vibrating the bunk bed. Gasping for air every minute, chainsaw sounding snorer that’s keeping the whole room awake.

Just curious if anyone else considers other travelers while staying in hostels. Things like:
- when there are dry dishes in the dish rack - put them away versus piling your wet dishes on top, especially when there’s hardly any room left in the rack
- when showering dry off in the shower instead of dripping water all over the floor outside the shower
- when other people might be sleeping, make phone calls in areas away from dormitory doors so you don’t keep people up
- when you see the water bottle getting low - inform management to ensure everybody doesn’t run out of potable water
- wash your dishes - Crazy right?

I’m gonna be in London late October/early november. I stayed at the wombat and I loved it. I’m interested in trying Onefam because I’ve never tried it before. How is it and what’s the weather usually like around this time?

This is the plan for the 3rd floor where we would have the private rooms
We have 6 singles/ modules with a full size bed, and then we have 4 double rooms with 2 twins next to each other but they can be moved apart
If friends travel together i imagine they would want a separate bed so thats a win for the 2 twins
If couples travel together they would want to be on the same bed, so i figured they just move the 2 twins together and we could offer them a bed bridge/ foam wedge
But full size mattresses have more options available so we could get something more comfortable/ expensive
2 of the double rooms each share a private bathroom, the modules all use the public bathroom

Why do people who go to hostels not have any basic respect for anyone else. There is a girl underneath me in a hostel who just started eating chips at 12:30am. Eating chips is one of the most loud things to eat and why it it at this hour and in the room. There is literally a lounge area for a reason.

Looking for hostels with a good social vibe and good energy at night without being a full blown party hostel like Mr Mullets🤣. Drop your best recs for central and South America.

I will be solo in Mumbai for the Friday and Saturday before dilwali (in case that matters).
Are there any really social hostels that either organize pub crawls/ going out to bars or are easy to meet people to do so on a Friday and Saturday night?
I went to goa a few years ago and it was super easy to meet other backpackers and go out to the bars. Is there any place in Mumbai that's similar? Or organized pub crawls unrelated to hostels that you can sign up for like what's common in Europe for example.

Hey! Has anyone here volunteered at a Onefam hostel in Barcelona? I’m thinking of going for about a month and would love to hear about your experience. I’m keen to meet people and go out partying, so the social side is a big part of why I’m interested! What was a typical day like, and did you have much free time to explore and go out? Anything you wish you’d known before going? :)

First time travelling solo, flying in Thursday 15 Oct and staying 5 nights. Main goal is meeting people and going out, partying hard, ruin bars, a bath day, the usual.
Torn between:
- Onefam
- The Hive
For those who've stayed at either, which one was easier to meet people at, especially solo and in October when it's quieter? Any hostel I'm missing?
Also, if anyone else is around those dates and wants to grab a drink, say hi.
Thanks!

I’ll be in Madrid for about 4-5 days (Oct 27-Nov 1). How is the weather/ hostel experience in Spain in October. Also I’m thinking Onefam but if anybody has any other recommendations for hostels in Madrid that would be great!

what’s a good hostel in krakow with a social/ party side, good communal area to meet people and organised bar crawls, but also quiet rooms where i can actually sleep. i stayed at one fam in budapest and LOVED It because it was so easy to meet people and was very party style but i was also able to sleep lol.

This is a little early on to be planning but I'm wondering what are the best hostels to book for Ultra Week for 2027, I've been hearing mixed reviews about a few and it's my first time going to Ultra Europe. My main goals are to meet people to go to the festival with and decent comfort (hostels are hostels at the end of the day lol).
edit: typo

We've all had that one roommate. Share yours so the rest of us don't become that person.
Mine:
Drop yours below. Let's make a list.
Edit: So many hilarious comments 😂 I am gonna put together a “Things you shouldn’t do in a hostel room” article in my blog. Anyone curious to collaborate, DM.
