Is it a coincidence that I misinterpret or are Courtney's lyrics geniusly playing with the fact her surname is Love? I cannot be the only one who deeply appreciates the fact that one can easily pick up how many of Hole's lyrics say stuff like "Love is dead" or "Love hates you" in a way that becomes ambiguous if she's talking about herself or the concept of 'love'. I hope I am not sounding stupid, but I just couldn't find anybody talking about this in this sub

A beyond excellent psychological EVIDENCE-based takedown of the mental and societal constructs/dysfunctions that led to Courtney's mistreatment, from childhood all the way through to today. It just popped up on my algorithm, I can't believe I've never seen it before.

Stars exploding this night a decade ago

Gillian Gaar, who wrote for The Rocket in Seattle in the 90s, has a great new book out a book today. There was quite a bit in there I didn’t know about, but I was 14 and living on the east coast when Nevermind came out, I probably knew less than I thought I did!

In an interview, Gillian told me about the bands that could’ve made it big and didn’t, Kurt Cobain’s fatigue with the press even before Nevermind was released and landing a big interview with Courtney Love after the infamous Vanity Fair issues.

I hope you enjoy my piece, and I highly recommend that you check out the book.

Very early in the interview they talk about Courtney and her upcoming album, Died Blonde. And later on at the 57:55 time mark.

(pardon the audio quality, i’m recording this in my car on my phone, so it’s not great)

i’d like to cover this song w my homies someday, but it’s hard to hear yourself sometimes and also not be biased, so i need some real brutal honesty here. i’d only want to cover it if i can actually do it well, so please spare no critique cause if i sound bad i NEED to know. i’d rather my feelings be hurt and i improve than no one telling me i sound bad and then i embarrass myself in front of a crowd, ykwim? don’t be like blatantly cruel lmao, but be honest pls🙏

All things Auf Der Maur

I got soulseek on android and im not seeing the new music. Im new to it and my searches got no correct results. Any help is appreciated. (My original post was rejected so I cant say too much)

Looks like a good episode I’ll be watching very soon!!

On this date in 2022 a Hole artifact was discovered

Hopefully this isn't the chosen cover ,Courtney needs more intensity like Mario Testino V magazine photoshoot

context: neuro indie afro alt woman’s attempt to record herself listening to her favorite stim song while championing 1/2 of her scarf collection in de back

just to leave it hidden in the drafts along with hundreds of other clips

this song encapsulates so very for me much how it is to glide in and out of masking vs thoroughly expressing no matter how it looks (wild, sometimes robotic, sometimes exhausted sometimes passionate.) as you’re actively deprogramming the falseness of everything you were told and promised, the realness of what you felt and genuinely experienced in girlhood.. and still harbor in adulthood. yes… it get real existentially introspective over here but. make it chic, 💃🏾

From the rainy streets and grey skies of Seattle is a grunge book conceived

Courtney attending the premiere of the movie which made her a break out movie star

Sorry for the length, the “uhm’s”; and the long pauses. Just got back from the Weezer concert (which was so good!) was in a good mood so I decided to just roll with the unboxing of our latest Hole release!

This is by far the most elegant release of Live Through This we’ve seen so far. In the same way that Pretty On the Inside got the special treatment for its 35th anniversary, here Eric really outdid himself with the presentation. The gatefold jacket shows the reels he found in storage as he mentioned in his recent interviews. It has a matte finish to it which gives it a dignified air which I appreciate so much - this is truly the year of Hole ✊🏼

Hope you enjoy the video!

I’ve just realized you can’t replay with images here :((( moderators, why is that?
