Frames question
Anyone know where I could find these frames? Can’t seem to find them anywhere - maybe they’re vintage?

I just got back from an eye test and got a new prescription where the optometrist told me my vision had gotten worse within a year. I told him I am prescribed glasses but never wear them because I don’t really need to personally and I feel fine doing tasks without them. When he told me my vision had gotten worse, he said this was because I hadn’t been wearing my glasses. Is this true?

i swear glasses get more expensive every time i need a new pair lol. it's not even just the frames anymore. once you add the prescription lenses and whatever upgrades you need, the total gets pretty ridiculous. i'm trying to figure out if getting vision insurance would actually save me money in the long run.
i've been looking at VSP the most so far because they have individual plans, and i like that i can look at coverage for both eye exams and glasses instead of relying on employer benefits. the frame and lens benefits are what caught my attention since those are usually where most of my money goes. i'm just not sure if the savings would be enough to make up for paying a monthly premium.
for those who have VSP, how has it worked out for you? did it actually make buying glasses less expensive, especially if you need prescription lenses or upgrades?

I have a Lenskart eyeglass frame with colorful graphics printed on the temples (side arms). I’d like to make it look clean and minimal by removing the graphics.
I’m pretty sure it’s a factory-printed design, not a sticker.

I just picked these up from visionworks today. Put them on without seeing them (because I am blind) and was wondering why my vision was so messed up because my prescription didn’t change that much. Turns out they shaved off most of the sides and created this almost fish bowl effect when I wore them. I have absolutely no peripheral vision and everything is warped. They also look way different on my face and not in a good way. I’ve never seen this done before. I asked when I picked the frames if my prescription strength would be a problem and they said no. I also paid for the high index lenses and my current wire frame glasses work fine with my prescription without any weird shaving. Has anyone encountered this before? Is this normal to do without consulting the person first?
EDIT: I went back and complained. They said they could submit the order again and see if it comes out different the second time. Like what?!?! I’m not waiting another two weeks for them to just do the same thing over again! How can they have no control over it. This is so weird.
Anyway, I’m going to shop for smaller and/or rounder frames thanks to the suggestions from you guys. They didn’t suggest it, I had to bring it up to them that that could be a solution (seriously what). And if that doesn’t work I’m getting my money back and trying elsewhere. Thanks for everyone’s help! You guys were so much more helpful than the people whose job it is to sell me glasses.

I went to an ophthalmologist for an eye exam. He wrote me a prescription for glasses. I am not sure how he knew my prescription. He did a lot of computerized tests but none of the traditional A/B tests.
His office didn't have an optometrist attached so I went to one for glasses. Since it was free through insurance I had her do an exam as well. Note that this was an experienced optometrist in practice 30 years at her own office and not at a mall or something. She did all the usual tests I was familiar with and wrote me a prescription.
While the prescription for my right eye is very similar, the one for my left eye is quite different between the two prescriptions.
Now I am questioning which one is correct:
The MD who seemed to do it quickly with little input from me but had all the latest gizmos or the optometrist who spent almost a whole hour with me.
I can't easily afford to buy lenses with both prescriptions to compare.

Just got a pair of glasses for 150€ and I have only ~ -1 on both eyes and was wondering if corneal curvature affects the way I see or could I just get any cheap pairs of -1 dioptrin glasses?

i recently visited a new optometrist because my last retired, and she said she didn’t see much of a need for me to have prisms. she also said my last prescription only had a bit (.5 in), so she suggested we remove it and see if it’ll work.
i understand that it may take a bit for me to adjust, but i feel like my eyes can’t focus on smaller text or other things. how long should this adjustment period take? if these issues persist beyond a week, should i go back or wait longer? i don’t wait to be impatient, i just feel like i’m struggling when out and about and in my classes 🥲

First time posting here since I’m getting desperate to find these for cosplay, but I’m trying to find the glasses/sunglasses that Hal Jordan wears in episode 5 of Lanterns
I’ve seen that it could be Moncler Diffractor ML0206, ML0089, or that it is some sort of welding/blue light glasses. It could be entirely custom for the show, but I’m not sure
Any help would be appreciated in trying to find out what glasses these are! Thank you!

I have perfect vision during the day, the only issues i ever have are with digital things far away, i get a blur on, but even then its very minor, but at night other people's headlights and the road lights block everything, i can't even see the centerline because of other people's lights/streetlights. The only time I can see is out in the country when there's no one coming because of the nice reflective yellow line. Should I get glasses for this or just get better headlights? Thanks!

Hi, I am 26f. I recently had an eye test done where I was recommended glasses as my vision tends to be blurry (very slightly) at a distance which causes some strain. I only realized when I friend could read a sign that I couldnt. I only got them yesterday but feel like I do not notice too much of a difference. My eyes are still adjusting to the lenses though. Should I give it some time to see if it improves?

I have worn glasses my whole life. I am an adult now, and I work in Cell Phone Repair. So as you imagine, my glasses scratch up quick quick (Due to sometimes flying debris). I never pay for the extra coatings and layers they offer when i get my glasses. But i want to know if those extra layers are worth it, like what will be good to pay extra for that can extend my glasses lifespan?

The arm is bent. I took it to the shop I bought it from, even they cant figure it out.
I am using Rodenstock lenses.

Both similar, first is more ‘bold’ imo, second is more of my safe choice (also with spring hinges so they fit my big head better)

I have a RB6335 2503 56-17 145 with prescription lenses but they don't have anything besides the ophthalmologists prescription and strong lights / UV really bothers me during the day and when I am driving.
Is there any way to mitigate this? Like putting on window car tints on the lenses?
