I am doing an bachelor's degree :') and just moved to the city from out of town and honestly, I would love to make some friends. I have like no friends here, and I am basically a mole rat. I'm introverted, high school friendships have faded over time, and making meaningful friendships in uni is SO MUCH HARDER than I expected. We try, but sometimes things just don't work out, yk?

And honestly, the uncertainty of my future right now, and I'm trying to get my life together, having something throw me off, and then somehow ending up back at square one. Rinse and repeat hahahaha T_T

If you relate, then you probably know how fucking difficult it can be to get even the simplest tasks done when your brain just refuses to cooperate. I'm so tired of constantly having to pick myself back up and start again, but I'm also not ready to give up on myself or the things I want to achieve.

We can check in on each other, celebrate getting the smallest tasks done, and remind each other that we're not completely failing at life HAHAHA.

I'm not looking for perfect, super productive people who have their entire lives figured out. I'm just looking for genuine friendships with people who want to grow together, support each other, and make this whole figuring-life-out thing feel a little less lonely.

Hey everyone! Has anyone taken HSS2305 (Molecular Mechanisms of Disease) with Ajoy Basak before?

I've heard some pretty rough things about this course and his exams, so I'm trying to figure out how to study effectively and prepare myself 😭

For anyone who's taken the course with him before:

- What are his exams like? Are they more memorization-based, application-based, or a mix?

- How did you study for his exams? Did you focus on lecture slides, textbook, or smng else?

- Are his questions generally straightforward, or are they more detailed/tricky?

- Any tips on what to prioritize or what you wish you'd known going into the course?

I'd really appreciate any advice, study strategies, or resources that helped you do well! Thanks in advance!

I bought one of those triceratops plushies from the campus store a few weeks ago; one of the green ones wearing a U of O hoodie. and he's been my pride and joy ever since. I love him so much.

However, fate was cruel and either yesterday or Tuesday I lost it :(. I remember having him with me on Tuesday around 7 when my evening class started but everything after that is honestly a blur. I can't remember if I had it during my midterm yesterday, or at all for that matter, and I couldn't find him anywhere today.

Typically I walk around with his head poking out of my backpack, so I'm thinking my bag either unzipped and he fell out, or I took him out when getting something else in my bag and just forgot to put him back in.

I don't ask much of people at this institution cause I know we're all stressed out all the time especially with midterms now, but I BEG of you all PLEASE! If you happen to notice a misplaced triceratops plush or have already found him, shoot me a DM or comment on this post or something. I'll buy you lunch or coffee or something if you find him just help me bring my baby home 😭😭😭😭

For those who opted to have their diploma mailed, did it arrive in a decent condition? I mean no bending or folding, and is there a way to pick up your diploma from campus or on convocation day without attending the ceremony?

It’s been a few months now and I don’t have my grade from a winter semester course. I deferred the final exam and took it in July I think but I still don’t have the exam grade. Anyone know why that could be?

so i have a dell 2 in 1 14 plus that i got last year for my grad present for uni. for some reason the t, y, backspace, caps lock, and shift key on my keyboard have decided to stop working. i have an exam next week i need to use the laptop for and i’m actually freaking out cause idk how to fix this. if anyone knows how i can fix it or knows a good tech fixing place please lmk 🙏 any advice at all is much appreciated. i’ve reset the computer like 20 times since, charged it and let it die. i even had a microsoft worker take over my computer and do some computer stuff on it hoping it’d work and it still doesn’t :(

I’m a new student here, and the worst-case scenario happened with my teeth. Right before moving, I had my bonded retainer checked and everything was fine (because I knew fixing it here would be complicated!). Unfortunately, a section of it just broke.

I saw a dentist who patched it up temporarily, but they said I need to get a completely new one made. From what I’ve checked, orthodontic care isn’t covered by the student health plans unfortunately ...

So, does anyone have any recommendations for an orthodontic clinic in the area that takes new patients ( students) , is reliable and does good work and has fair/student-friendly pricing for a retainer replacement?

Does anyone have experience with using Rexall alongside the student insurance? Supposedly on the Alumo website Rexall is a student care network partner and can cover up to 20% of prescriptions alongside the 80% the insurance provides but every time I go to Rexall they never know what I’m talk about and that 20% is never provided.

Have any of you guys gotten it and if so, how? I’ve shown my pay direct card and just my insurance in general but it doesn’t seem to work to get the extra coverage.

WHO is putting M&Ms on chairs around campus?!? ME AND MY FRIEND HAVE BOTH SAT ON THEM AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE SHIT OUR PANTS. This happened on two separate instances. When I have previosuly taken the FLS courses during full time study semesters, I remember it was free (no extra tuition) as it was in addition to my full time course load but if it is the only course that I take with my coop term, would that still be the case?
