Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave expansion pass announced ($35) and releasing in waves. The 4 lords that were cut are being added

This game will be like 250 hours by the time we're done with everything.

  • Wave 1 (Out Today): New weapons based on Three Houses' Hero's Relics
    • Cai gets Dimitri's spear
    • Theodora gets Claude's bow
    • Dietrich gets Byleth's sword
    • Leda gets Edelgard's axe
  • Wave 2 (Holiday 2026)
    • New costumes for each of the 4 Flame Lords
    • Aurora, Jurah, & Smyrnos are added as playable units
  • Wave 3 (2027)
    • New story featuring Bertrand, Taimun, Orchel, & Anatolia
    • New allies, classes, & more

I'm in the "happy with 8 cakes" category as well. But I'm also at 80+ hours with just Leda's Route, Part II, and most of Cai's Route.

I'm pretty much never going to complain about paying less than $1/hour for any game I buy. YMMV.

That's fair.

I actually remembered I didn't complete Claude's route in Three Houses (did the others + DLC), so I plan to finish Cai's route then put down Fortune's Weave briefly so I can do Claude's route before my Dietrich playthrough.

It feels more than a little insane, but it'll be an interesting compare/contrast between the games if nothing else.

Personally I was never able to play through more than the first route I did on 3 houses. It was just too much of a slog to get through the beginning section a second time, let alone 4 times. Whereas with FW being different in the first parts with interweaving narratives I'm having a blast. Hands down FW is a better game in pretty much every aspect for me.

Its not even cut content really. More like cut concepts that are being reimplemented. Like if the original Ocarina of Time had DLC that was the Light Temple. They didnt make 8 then cut it for 4. They considered making 8 then decided 4 worked better for a base game. Then decided to add the other 4 as DLC.

Very early in the Intro the game presents you with statues of 8 Fire Lords.

Maybe the other 4 Lords were cut... maybe they were always panned als DLC... who knows.

But in my opinion it is clear that the developer considers 8 Lords the intended amount for the final game. And this makes the base game incomplete in my book.

Same! 100+ hours and I’m going back through Cai’s path with the unlocks from doing all 4 paths and there is still so much to do!

I just hit 60 hrs and I've finished Dietrich's part 1 and am on chapter 6 of Lead's. Game is absolutely massive.

110 for me and I just started my third lord in act 1. Really loving the game but atp going to just run through these two campaigns to get to part 2
