it currently feels like it'd be a really good EA game with the promise of a bunch of stuff in 1.0, but as it is, it feels kind of... lacking
the bones are there, but everything kind of feels like it's missing something
the zones are interesting but every zone feels like it plays out the same way, and there's just not enough enemies in general or variety, most of the game it just feels like the only thing that really changes is the visuals of the zone
the combat is pretty simple
i think within the next year it could definitely be in argument for the best survival game but right now it just feels like a lot of things need a bit more polish they needed more time to cook
i think if enshrouded dumps a bunch of new stuff it'll probably win by default
at least up until this point i think valheim and honestly palworld are superior choices overall, but it's all personal choice at the end of the day
i'd give a shoutout to grounded 2 but they're having microsoft layoff issues looming over them so i don't know if they'll get fucked or not as they try to get to 1.0 but grounded was pretty solid
