First of all, why did they changed it when there were no complaints on it. Second, it just sucks overall, nothing works really. Also, they are just trying to make to stay on the app by putting video recommendations directly underneath.

I'm just an ordinary youtube watcher. I would like to block completely certain types of videos they are suggesting for me. Is it possible? Their algorithms recognise what I like to watch but how do I teach them what I hate? Is there a block list or can I click "don't show me this kind of content" like they have on reddit? What if I have a paid subscription?

I am sick and tired of seeing Trump faces especially when most of them are clickbait videos or AI made crap. Also I'd like to block all videos that have AI created content.

I’ve uninstalled all my extensions, I’m not signed up for any experimental features. I logged in and out the other day and it went back to the normal layout. Everything was fine but today it went back to all the video recommends under the video and a menu on the right hand side with comments as an option.

When I go incognito the default layout is there but for some reason my account keeps reverting back to this weird format

I just want my regular layout, any help would be greatly appreciated

this has been going on for two months or so but around 98% of the ads I get on shorts are AI

I get constant Suno ads ai animations ai Porn ads too and also random nonsense ads that make no sense

I think the reason why I get so many suno ads is because I watch videos about music content like orchestras Fl studio music company drama stuff like that

I hate these ads and they don't seem to go away even when i report them

Why. Just fucking why. All I want is to use the "new to you" filter ffs. Why does every god damn company have to force Ai bullshit down our throats. Now I have to tell a stupid ass Ai what kind of filter I want just for it not to even work. Now when I make a "new to you" filter using the dumbass Ai it ONLY shows videos older then a year minimum instead of showing you know... new and relevant videos that I havent seen. Just ffs who decided let the braindead people make the fuckin choices.

Lately when on the app and out if nowhere get a black screen. Nothing happens until I exit full screen mode and then the ad play.

YouTube has once again decided that it isn’t Instagram enough and has begun to FULLY re work everything to be “bubbly” “smooth” and “modern” I miss the LIKE button, not the HEART! It’s YouTube, it has a solid identity and culture, why the hell would they do this beyond greed or stupidity!

YouTube: the number one app that ignores EVERYONE that uses it.

You can’t tell me that REMOVING both the like, dislike and now comment amounts are good! You still need a visual amount of likes to see if the video is good. I get what they are trying to do “low like bias” BUT, as a YouTuber myself, low likes do NOT affect views or engagement if the quality is good. This is a crutch to try and make videos appear like they are doing well to investors. Fuck YouTubers share holders! I get that removing amounts can lead to the minority of YouTube users not skipping based on “low likes = not worth it” but the majority don’t!

I mean, why would I want to check the comments when I can ask AI to reccomend similar videos THAT ARE ALREADY THERE!

To be clear, I am not one of those “fake news!!!” People. I actually think for the most part, that mainstream news generally has a HIGHER standard of fact checking. They also never speak in absolutes, like they’ll say “allegedly, unconfirmed reports, etc.”

There are however soooo many YouTubers who make incredibly high quality videos with animations of the event and that’s usually what u want to see. I don’t want to see a fully censored and edited video from Fox Tampa bay or some shit. You scroll down for ages and it’s alllll news channels.

Is there a way to avoid this? Maybe by filtering for recent?

A good example is 9/11. I actually find Howard sterns 9/11 live commentary that included the hour before the attack so you got to see everyone’s reaction the whole day. I don’t agree with what Howard said in that, but it’s much more raw and a better representation of how New Yorkers felt that day.
