Tis the season for a good bowl of pho… where can I get one in town/surrounding area? I do go to no 1 noodle but their health inspections r sketchy and they add the veg for u :( been living in Ontario where my options were plenty

I was in an accident a over a year ago, car was written off. I have been in physio for the last 20 months for neck and shoulder injury. At fault insurance company contacted me and wants to settle for around $10,000. The insurance adjustor also asks me if I had different monetary amount in mind for settlement.

So I’m getting this settlement to cover rehab and time off work, but what happens if there’s continued issues down the road? What about things like future missed time from work, loss of enjoyment, etc. If I’m trying to claim anything like that, is that where I need to involve an accident injury lawyer?

Or do I just speak to my insurance agent and ask for a higher amount? WHat is an appropriate amount? I would rather not use a lawyer unless I have to. Should I?

Our daughter requires braces and a possible tooth extraction down the road. We currently have a quote from All Smiles in Freddy. For braces to be on for 12-18 months, it's about $8500. I have no idea if that's a reasonable price or not, she's the first kid to need any sort of orthodontic work done. That does include a retainer after the braces but does not include the cost of follow-up appointments after the braces come off.

Curious if people have recommendations of places they like? Does that cost seem in line with what most people would pay for braces nowadays?

I had blood test results come in a few weeks back and I’ve been dealing with the same NP to keep continuity of care, but since I haven’t heard from her I’m stuck waiting for next steps. I’ve tried calling both phone lines, the same-day appointment booking one isn’t really what I need because I don’t need an urgent care appointment, and the other number just has a message to call back during the hours they answer even though I’m calling during the hours they answer.

I’m wondering if anyone has had problems with ants living in Killam apartments?
I’ve had issues since May/June, and they have gotten pest control in, but nothing is working. It’s now October, and they have definitely slowed down, but I’m still finding ants in my kitchen drawers, and in my bathroom. There’s nothing out that would be dragging them in. Since it’s now October, to me it’s quite evident that the ants live in the building. They’ve sprayed and now their strategy is to use bait every 2 weeks until they’re gone. In the summer I could find up to 50 ants A DAY in my apartment.

I’m just curious if anyone has had these issues with Killam rentals, or if I just have the worst luck known to man. I’ve been really patient with them but my patience is running thin.

Ps: I’m quite clean, I don’t leave anything lying around. One time there was the tiniest crumb left on my counter and I woke up to 15 ants around them, so I don’t really have a choice but to be really clean.
