Any ideas of decent vet clinics for my reactive dog? We used to go to one in our last city where we checked in while in the car and they came out to get us so there were never any animals in the lobby she could react to. It was a certified fear free clinic, but I don’t see any in this town. The clinic was one where the vet was on the floor with her and lots of treats were given to chill her out, so something similar would be fantastic if possible.
Also if there are clinics we should stay away from, I’ll take those recs too :)

It's under 750 watts (500) and its top speed is like 15 miles per hour. It doesnt have turn signals or mirrors or anything. The lack of those things make it not an electric motorcycle, but the lack of pedals makes it not an e-bike. What legal definition does this fall under? I want to know because my little brother likes riding it and i want to know where I can take him, since my bike is legally a "class 2 electric bicycle"

The article, if you get pay-walled.
Two candidates vying to represent northeast Indiana in Congress shared their views on policies affecting construction at a Wednesday forum.
U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-3rd, and Democrat Kelly Thompson faced off at the American Institute of Architects Fort Wayne and the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana’s annual Meet the Candidates Reception at The History Center.
The event gave the organizations’ members the opportunity to meet candidates for the upcoming election for federal, state, legislative and Allen County races and hear their views through brief forums. Stutzman and Thompson were followed by a forum for state candidates and questions for those participating in Allen County races.
Much of construction work is impacted by legislation on all levels, said Stefanie Custer, executive director of the association. The event educates members on issues and candidates’ views before they vote.
Dozens attended the event. This year’s turnout showed the importance of the election to candidates and voters, said Cindy Riebersal, moderator and chair of the association’s government affairs committee.
When asked how the candidates would help grow the skilled labor workforce, Thompson said she would focus on education accessibility and lowering costs for degrees and training programs.
“We need our people to get the education and the training that we need them to have in order to make sure that our country continues to work,” she said.
Stutzman said he would emphasize learning skills over liberal arts degrees toward youth interested in the trades. He would continue to support opportunities with large-scale infrastructure including data centers, but with proper human regulations.
Stutzman said jobs left the U.S. as a result of the North American Free Trade Agreement, and the Trump administration has worked to counteract those effects through tariffs. There is more manufacturing coming back to the nation because of this, he said.
“We need to focus on America,” he said. “ ‘Made in America’ should be the motto for all of us.”
Thompson disagreed and said manufacturing jobs continue to decline, but she hopes they will increase. Tariffs have harmed local businesses, she added.
To bring manufacturing back to the country, infrastructure for producing materials needs to be built, she said. This takes planning and dependable funding.
Thompson argued that the national safeguards protecting citizens from the negative effects of large-scale developments, including draining natural resources, are not being enforced.
Stutzman said America’s problem with energy production happened because of the denied expansion of the Keystone Pipeline and too few refineries.
The nation will have an abundance of oil and gas from Alaska and Venezuela, he said, but needs a way to refine it. For that to happen, resources need to stay in the Western Hemisphere.
“We need to take control of our own destiny,” he said.
Thompson said she would always be available and accessible to constituents.
“I think it’s important that we elect people to power who have actually felt our pain,” she said.
Election Day is Nov. 3.

Hello people of the internet,
So I’m in the position to potentially move back to the Fort for a bit. In honesty I’m a little nervous for this for a few reasons. One big one is mental health care within Indiana, and more importantly Fort Wayne.
So my question is, if you receive care how is it? Who would you avoid, who would you recommend? I need to see both a psychiatrist and therapist.
But honestly I’ve been thinking about doing something in between an IOP and therapy, so if you have advice on that as well I’d appreciate it :)
*dog for interactions :)

Anyone got any details on if this theater is still that bad? I was thinking of going for the IMAX soon (Street fighter, big fan of the games) but saw it was actually closed today (10/14) and seen nothing about why. The last time I went to AMC was for Superman when they kept closing for HVAC (or bugs) and then Project Hail Mary.

Another national gas station chain never-before-seen in Fort Wayne filed plans with the city. Land has to be rezoned. If approved it will be built on the NW corner of Illinois Rd and Hadley Rd.

I remember these used to happen every few years a good while back, but I haven't heard about any in a long while.
For clarification, I'm asking about a day where vet surgeons charge very little to spay or neuter cats. The last one I went to, a good decade or more ago, it was (I think) a nickel to neuter, a dime to spay. I don't expect anything that cheap during times like these, but I'm wondering if anyone knows about one coming up within the next 12 months or so?
There's this very affectionate stray in the neighborhood that I'm contemplating taking in as a pet (once I make absolute sure he doesn't belong to the people across the street; it's the only house I haven't asked yet that might be owners. I already know they've given the neighborhood a bit of an issue when they moved in with their intact outdoor cat that terrorized the rest of the local strays and made a mess with his kittens. Thankfully they got that cat fixed - that, or his ear was notched in one of his nightly tomcat fights)
My first goal for him if I do decide to take him in is flea meds, they seem to be giving him a little trouble, but I have no income at the moment and I'd really like to get him fixed asap so he doesn't make more trouble or end up starting a colony, but I just can't afford the surgery, especially not if I can't be sure I'll take him in
TL:DR - anyone know of any upcoming days where vets offer spay/neuter services for very cheap, typically as a population control solution?

Does anyone know why it smells absolutely horrible outside today? It’s like an old sock, bad hygiene stench and it’s on several sides of town today. It started around 6pm.

I have an old binder full of Pokémon cards and wanted to know where is a good place to sell them and get a fair price. They are not in slabs/graded, but they've been in the plastic page sleeves and are generally in great condition, and I know some of them are worth a decent amount. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Hi everyone,
I have an extremely niche issue I would like to talk to someone in the county/city about. I have never practiced activism of any sorts, so I apologize beforehand for being so oblivious to this process.
Basically, I am an avid car enthusiast, and I am sick of the use of sodium chloride on the roads. I have had all of my older/classic cars completely rot out enough times where I've had enough. Sand is used widely on Canadian roads, it's used on some American roads, as well as other substances such as beet juice. There is, in theory, no reason to continue using sodium chloride because it is generally cheaper per ton than road salt, and road salt doesn't even work below 15 degrees fahrenheit.
With that being said, is there any way for me to go to city council meetings in person? Should I send a letter or email to someone before going that route? Who would I even contact for this specific issue? Any help would be appreciated. I'm sick of complaining and would like to do something about these issues of sorts.
Thanks!

Hey guys, I’m currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management through WGU, and I’m starting to look for opportunities in the Fort Wayne area that would let me move into the field while I finish my degree.
I’ve been with Amazon for over a year and have about 4 years of previous warehouse/logistics experience. I also have around 3 years of production and machine operation experience and 2 years of retail experience.
I'm looking for anything from dispatch to supply chain, logistics coordination, inventory/materials, purchasing/procurement, production planning or scheduling, transportation, or similar operations work. I’m trying to move toward the planning/coordinating side of the industry rather than just another general warehouse position.
Does anybody know of any employers looking for someone like me in the area? I'm willing to travel up to an hour out of Fort Wayne if necessary.
Thanks

I have a small business and I'm the only employee, my wife also has a small business and she's the only employee. We filed jointly last year we don't even know what to do this year and our last tax person ended up in jail (not for tax stuff, but still).
I don't want a big national Business (No Block) nor a group of business tax consultants with big overhead. I want a smart person that knows a lot about small business taxes that can help me not drown during tax season.
Any thoughts?

Looking to have the ol' wisdom teeth removed at the start of the new year. Anyone with experience with insurance through Sweetwater (delta dental) have any insight on coverage or any places in or near town that'll do it within network? I'm expecting to have to pay the whole cost but any information would be helpful! Yes I know to get a hold of the insurance itself but peer information is usually fairly useful regarding insurance in the real world

Are there any public basketball hoops around that are generally available, either indoors or at a park?
I tried going to open gym at the Y when I still was a member a couple times, but it was always too crowded with kids to get a turn. I'd just like to play HORSE and maybe some chill 1-on-1 with my husband.
