I booted it up as Spirit Tracks is my last Zelda I need to finish and er seems I'm fucked

The DSPico basically keeps blinking on the 3DS dash. As if I'm removing the cart and putting it back in permanently. If it lets me launch the cart, the 3DS crashes

This happens in my Vanilla 3DS and my custom 3DS

It's not even 9 months old so I don't know how it's somehow broken since the last time I used it aboht 6 weeks now.

Anyone know if there's a fix? I bought it pre flashed so I have no clue what to do to even reset it

Hi, how are you? Does anyone know if they're going to keep updating the DS Pico? It's been months since there's been anything new, and games like Pokémon Dash just give a white screen when you try to launch them (I've already tried other versions of the game).

Installed AKMenu-Next on an old CycloDS Evolution. Works pretty well, gives this old card access to modern firmware that's still getting updates. Been using this and a 3DS XL to play local multiplayer CTGP Nitro.

Tried all listed kernels that supports this flashcard, but still stuck on a white screen, i don't know what to do now.

I wanted to play this morning, but I didn't get past the loading screen, so looked for a new kernel, but now is asking for menu, may have gottend the wrong one, could you help me?

I'm new to this subreddit so I could be asking some FAQ kinda question. I'm looking for a flashcard for my girlfriends DSi XL. I'm a chemist with no experience in setting ups all kinds of firmware what so ever. Just want to give my GF a flashcard for her DSi, just to play some more pokemon, mario and other nds games. No gameboy stuff etc.

Could you guys recommend me with an easy tot buy and instal flashcard?

I recently finished modding a Game Boy Color to include an IPS screen for a relative and I want to go above and beyond and create a cartridge that we both played when we were kids where it claims to be "99999999 in 1" but this time, I want to make one where it's full of more hand picked games. I know one choice is to buy an Everdrive but since I already own a GBxCart RW, is it possible to find a cheap game cart that can flash a few games with a menu to it?

I'm asking this because for some reason I can't find any info on how to do this on the first firmwares for the R4 (R4 Revolution I think aka r4dspro.com thingy (The one I had to use because for some reason the one I had previously doesn't work anymore?? But they're pretty much the same so anyway) or even the firmware that's similar to this one but that has a 3D Pacman for the Games icon and MacOS logo for the Slot2 icon), but mostly to be sure of the combination since I'm not a genie to guess it, + I can't test proper combinations because my L shoulder button doesn't work, I'm NOT sure at all which again is why I'm asking this, but I think the combination is L+R, or starts with L+R

I was trying to play WarioWare D.I.Y., but it kept crashing before the title. I tried another rom and after trying it was fine up until the second tutorial where it kept crashing again.

After some googling, apparently it might be my firmware version…

I’ve read the firmware FAQ, however, I don’t want to permanently break anything, so I just want to be absolutely sure before I do anything that I have the right firmware before I do anything.

Which is the best kernel of this r4 2026, i know that It can run Twilight menu++ and it's kernel, but which one do you recommend most?

Hey, j’ai déjà hacké quelques trucs (snes mini et flashcards DS) et j’ai une Flash card. sous Twilight menu etune DS lite. Mon nouveau projet était de mettre une vidéo/film.Problème : j’ai tout essayé,Tunavids,Moonshell,FastvideoDS… j’ai essayé de mettre en format BGM,AVI,fv… mais je ne vois qu’une image du film avec des couleurs horribles .Elle est figée et elle est toute déformée…pourtant mes vidéos font moins de 30 minutes? On m’a dit qu’il y avait un lecteur multimédia intégré dans le Twilight j’ai essayé de coller mes fichiers à la racine et cela ne fonctionne pas.J’y ai passé des heures et je n’en peux plus . I have read the quick start guide comparing the different carts, but I want a conversation with people about my specific needs.

I am not sure which gba flashcart I want to go with and so far have not been fully pleased with what I’ve seen.

My criteria:

What I care about (most important to least):
- Premium feel (I’ve seen how the sd card is inserted in the EZ flash and that’s a real ick to me)
- Ease of use
- Battery life
- Menu Aesthetics

What I don’t care about:
- Price
- Emulation (I will mostly play GBA games and sometimes GB and GBC games, nothing else)
- Fancy features (save states, fast load etc. I really just want a classic GBA experience)

I’ve thought of it a lot and so far I’m leaning towards the Everdrive because it corresponds the most to my needs, but I do not like the menu aesthetics.
Ez flash’s menu is nicer but the sd slot throws me off and everdrive has a better battery.

What would you recommend? Is there maybe a better option than these two that meets all my criteria? Or is there one that at least meets most of it? Is the EZ flash’s SD slot as bad as I think?

Hi everyone! After a long time, I bought a Nintendo DS Lite on eBay. I had a grey one when I was a kid but broke it, though I kept the R4 card. I tried inserting it into the new DS, and it worked! I was so excited! I wanted to install another game, like Zelda, but suddenly my PC stopped reading the microSD card and asked me to format it. Unfortunately, I lost everything... But I didn't give up; I tried to reinstall it but couldn't manage to do so. The first time, a girl at a shop—which doesn't exist anymore—had set it up for me. Can anyone help me? Could someone link me to the files I need? The last photo (which I found online) shows what my menu looked like.

Hi hi! I'm gonna need help about this flashcart because it's been IMPOSSIBLE to make it work with a 32GB microSD.

Some context: This card was acquired when I was little when my Nintendo DS Lite stopped working suddenly. I don't have memory of it but my mom sent it to the repair shop and using this was the only solution to get me to play my games again. It has been working wonderfully since that time, it's probably been around 15 years. It came with a 2GB microSD and some games on it as well, and we also have the DS Happy Box USB driver to use with the microSD.

Lately I found I could use this flashcart with a 32GB microsd since it claims it is SDHC but I never ever updated kernels or use it with more recent versions since I got it. The website displayed is dead it's my second or third day I'm full-time researching and experimenting things on this thing.

My 2GB microSD works well and so I tried the classic copy and pasting its files onto the 32GB microSD. Doesn't work.

I eventually discovered through forums that the famous YSMenu could brick this cartridge so I gave trying it. Between checking linfox domain with the supposed right kernel, and finding out this is a custom wood R4 kernel, I've got dozens of white screens and loading screen stuck and none of it loads.

Yes it is formatted into FAT32 with 32kb specifically and MBR for partition scheme.

I also tried BL2CK without success and I'm genuinely tired of trying to understand this cart, but curiosity is an insane trait I have so I'm pushing it forward.

I hope I could get some help with this, specially because I opened up the cart and was able to get the picture of the board it has. Haven't found one exactly like this, they're all different in various aspects.

I'm adding also my Nintendo DS Lite booted up with the 2GB microSD and the files it has [and yeah I don't know where there are a lot of files that probably don't even load (R4iMenu folder and moonshl2)]

Will this even work with a 32GB microSD? It claims to be a R4 SDHC Dual-Core Smart Update

Edit: It's a BL2CK! The issue was the microSD. I digged a little deeper into this and found out that high-speed processing microSD/HC cards can't be read by old hardwares even if the format and size of it are correct! So I had to search for old stock or second-hand microSDHC's of 32GB that ARE NOT high-speed models like 'Ultra', 'Premium', 'Elite', 'Go'. They should be purely the standard of the brand and have the least readability speed (it's usually written on the packaging). My choice was a Kingston Canvas Select 32GB MicroSDHC UHS-I U1 C10 so yeah really old cards and better for me and us, they're super cheap.

My only issue right now is the themes. I had some themes downloaded before and they seem to be very sensible to how they're being read by BL2CK. They're default one works just fine so I'll be looking into how to optimize other themes and extract them directly into the microSD.

I'm building out a quick and dirty android app that can format the SD card correctly, pull pico launcher & loader from GitHub, and set up the emulators to work correctly. Is there any interest in me making this public? I know getting the SD card set up is one of the larger barriers to entry but I don't want to have to maintain the app if nobody other than my close friends will use it.

Hey, so yesterday I was finally able to fix my R4 and get it working, so I tried putting my DraStic Pokémon Platinum save file there (I converted the files to .sav) but it doesn't work, it doesn't read the save file. Heck, I even tried my randomised HeartGold and it says the file is corrupted, when it works perfectly on DraStic

Does anyone know what is happening? Thanks
