Question Why do some energy drinks list green tea as the caffeine source?
I've been wondering why some energy drinks list green tea as the caffeine source rather than like an unlisted version of caffeine? I'm not necessarily interested in whether green tea has any additional benefits or anything like that, more whether or not it's common for brands to use it for caffeine and I've just not really noticed it before? Thanks!

High Protein High protein southern beans and greens stew
Per bowl 400 calories and 44g protein. Beans, collards, corn, okra, obscene amounts of chicken, andouille sausage, and enough seasoning to make you slap your grandma. Filling as all hell too, im bulking but this 500cal combo seen in picture kept me full from 8:30 to 7:00

Can anyone recommend a meal planner app?
I don’t mean one that suggests recipes for you or plans anything for you at all, but one where you plan what you’re going to have for each day of the week, perhaps also save recipes but that’s not so important to me. I really would like to have a scrolling function where you can easily look back at what you’ve had previously to get an idea of what you like to have and what you’ve cooked on repeat, or just get inspiration from yourself.
Currently I just use a note in my notes app but it’s getting pretty unwieldy to scroll all the way down to the bottom to see everything, it’d be much nicer if there was just a super simple app out there that made it a scroll back and forth situation

Question Gathered a list of foods I like and that are affordable that I think could strike a good balance for myself and still try a calorie deficit, any suggestions or notes on it?
Any more of any one thing I should be looking for in my list? Like more proteins or anything

Fueling up for Tuesday! Cheese omelet, ragi porridge, and poms
This breakfast comes out to roughly 545 calories with 25.5g of protein, 44g of carbohydrates, and 30.5g of healthy fats.
The cheese omelet provides most of the protein and fats (~300 kcal), while the ragi malt (~120 kcal) and pomegranate (~80 kcal) supply clean, complex carbs and fiber
What's your go-to Tuesday breakfast?

High Calorie Bulking chicken and rice of doom and despair: chicken satay with coconut rice
When in doubt, try a new variation of chicken and rice, the best combo ever devised by man next to steak and potatoes.
Satay: serves 3
3-4 Chicken thighs
80ml coconut milk
1-2 tbsp curry paste (optional but highly recommended, you’ll live without it)
Curry powder to your hearts content
Honey or brown sugar
Dark soy sauce
Fish sauce if you have it
Lime juice
Optional sesame oil if you like the flavor combo, if your favorite part of satay is the nuttiness add it, if your favorite part is the citrus and brightness skip it
Cut thighs into little chunks and skewer and grill over medium high heat
Sauce (dense version, sub ingredients as needed to make cut friendly, very easy): makes 4 servings
120ml coconut milk
80g NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER!!!
2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
Juice of 1 lime
1 tsp sriracha (or red curry paste)
25ml soy sauce
Neither of these recipes are strictly traditional but unless you’ve got fish sauce, coconut sugar, dark soy sauce, and tamarind on hand it’ll do in a pinch.

Question Underweight beginner trying to gain muscle on a very tight budget in Germany
Hey everyone!
I live in Germany, I'm currently on a very tight budget, and I want to start building muscle and gaining weight.
I'm relatively underweight and would like to put on some healthy mass while getting stronger. However, I'm not very knowledgeable about nutrition yet, and I can't afford expensive foods, supplements or complicated meal plans.
I have no food restrictions and am open to pretty much everything.
I'd appreciate advice on:
- How to estimate how many calories I need to gain weight.
- How much protein I should aim for each day.
- Cheap, calorie-dense foods that are easy to find in German supermarkets.
- Affordable protein sources such as eggs, quark, milk, lentils, beans, oats and whatever else you recommend.
- Simple meals that are filling, nutritious and inexpensive.
- Weekly meal-prep plans that don't require much cooking time.
- How to eat enough when I don't have much money or a huge appetite.
- Cheap snacks and homemade high-calorie shakes.
- Which foods offer the best value for money at stores like Aldi, Lidl, Netto and Penny.
- Free YouTube channels, websites or meal plans for gaining weight on a budget.
I'd especially love examples of realistic weekly grocery lists and meal plans with approximate prices in euros.
I want to keep things as affordable as possible, ideally without needing protein powder or other supplements.
If you live in Germany and have successfully gained weight and muscle on a low budget, what did you eat, and what would you recommend to someone starting out?
Thanks for any help!

Hit Me With Your Best Apple Pie Protein Shake Recipes!
I'm looking to make a protein shake that captures the authentic taste of an Apple Pie. I've already succeeded in making a strawberry shortcake shake with no added sugar, and no unhealthy fats (e.g., heavy cream, cream cheese, creme fraiche).
So, lay them on me!

Low Fat Low fat protein snacks I can make or buy.
Hello! A little background I have been slowly losing weight for years. I started at 340lbs and I'm down to 240. I did this by changing my eating habits, playing Beat Saber (it's good cardio!) and working a job where I walk for about 8 hours a shift. It's taken me 6 years to get here but it was well worth it!
Currently though I've been having issues with my gallbladder. I've already seen my doctor, gotten blood tests, and will likely have it removed in the future. But for now I've been told to cut down on fats (specifically saturated fats) and up my protein intake (that was super low in my blood tests) So those are being monitored by me and my doctor. I am not cutting out all fats, I'm just choosing healthier options like avocados, extra virgin olive oil etc.
Breakfast is a protein shake, some veggies, and egg whites. Lunch is tofu, chicken, or tuna, veggies, fruit, and some sort of carb (rice, crackers, potatoes) etc. Same with dinner.
My problem now is finding portable snacks I can eat while I'm working. They told me eating smaller portions throughout the day will help with my gallbladder, but while I'm at work it's harder to eat like that. We only get 15 minute breaks and running to the lunch room to grab something takes up almost all of my time. (The place I work is huge). I used to keep nuts, jerky, or protein bars in my pockets but most of those are super high in fats which I need to watch, but also make sure I'm getting more protein.
I have been looking for options online and I have a few things but I feel like I'm overlooking some potentially good options. Currently I have some low fat chicken jerky (which quite frankly I'm not a huge fan of), Nut-Thins Crackers, and dried fruit.
Does anyone have any suggestions or recipes?

Simple meal hacks
I work in the oil feild and im trying to loose 20 more pounds. They have camp food but usually its coated in butter, grease, oil, and does not taste the best.
They have a line where its veggies, fruits(usually melon) hard boiled eggs, chicken, cheese, leaves, dressings, cottage cheese, and yogurt(Greek yogurt, sometimes plain usually flavored tho), and rice cakes/bananas.
There is only salt and pepper for seasoning.
Given that, is there any combos or food ideas I can mix to make better tasting more palatable foods. I usually just have grilled chicken and mustard but I cant stomach that anymore.
