My mom had this fire stick for years and I finally went to get it from her place and put it in my place and it’s connected to the WiFi but it still says this why

Hey all, new here but I have a question and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I use Amazon Music on my Firestick 4k and the Music app updated itself and now does not play any music. You press play on a song and it plays but no sound comes out. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to get it working again and what did you do? I have no other issues with any other apps but Amazon Music....ugh. Thanks for any advice.

I recently went back to using a firestick after nearly 5 yrs of not using one. My original firestick I couldn't get to connect to my new network because Smarters player was on old network.

I ended up purchasing a new firestick 4k plus. Since purchasing the new firestick, I've had nothing but problems.. The firestick keeps freezing. When I plug it in it works anywhere from 5-30 minutes then suddenly freezes. Sometimes after 5-10 minutes it will start playing again, but there are times it doesn't.

I've tried everything I see on YouTube with no success. I called firestick support for assistance, and all they did was send me another new firestick. The one I purchased was only two weeks old. Anyway, I installed the new firestick, and the same thing is happening. It doesn't matter which app either. I've tried free apps, subscription apps.. they all freeze.

I tried using the Pluto TV app in the firestick store, and it does the same. I'm hoping someone here can give me some clue how to fix this problem..

Hi I am New to fire stick. So I just got a new fire stick and it uses a Vega OS system so I can’t download “downloaded” from the android/ google play store. I have a Mac I am using to put it in developer mode to sideload apps on it. I have been working with Gemini to help me out but this is what they are saying…

“How to use it on your Fire Stick: Because custom APK app installers have limitations on Vega OS, users streaming via different apps on a Vega-based Fire Stick typically log in through their provider's official native Amazon Appstore app, a compatible web-player link via the built-in Silk Browser, or by casting from a mobile device or computer.”

What options do I have… I know Nord has a node in Alberta I can watch the Oilers with out of market… does it work with sportsnet? What other options do I have?

I have custom launcher installed on my 4K Max (home on fire) and have software updates blocked at the router level using these domains:

• softwareupdates.amazon.com
• d1s31zyz7dcc2d.cloudfront.net
• prod.ota-cloudfront.net

My question is, does blocking these domains only prevent the Firestick/Fire OS itself from updating, or can it also prevent 3rd-party apps like YouTube from checking for and installing updates?

I have ADB access and a USB-to-UART adapter that I previously used for OpenWrt router work.

I found a community write-up describing a GhostLock temporary-root and Kamakiri preloader-downgrade/BootROM procedure. However, the tested incremental build appears to be 0036005356164, which differs from mine.

Questions:
Has anyone successfully used this procedure on build 0036005356032?
Is the incremental build difference significant, even though the display build matches?

So appearantly, you can use this app called "Atv Tools" to uninstall the system app like Amazon kids, Amazon Music, Music and More, Prime Video etc, however Amazon Kids and Music & More and some of other apps, they don't delete but you can disable them and after triggering uninstall and disabling them, all these apps sizes becomes around 30-50kb but the main problem is If you Update your Firestick or Restart you Strick all the apps comes back, so I was wondering if I were missing something or is it basically impossible to uninstall them using this app "Atv Tools" and one thing to uninstall the apps using your have to get premium, but there are various work arounds and also you can run shell command through this app though don't really how do I use that and what for....

Does anyone have an mp3 url for TV mate or any other live TV app? I had tivimate working great from an url I got a couple weeks ago but it suddenly stopped working.

The last 2 days i’ve been trying around with all the different apps etc on my firestick.

been using this stick for years and didnt know all of this was possible, so i’m quite hyped haha.

anyways, 90% of vod apps i’ve tried so far, offer mostly english stuff.

are here any people who watch their stuff consitently in good quality ( through torbox, real debrid etc maybe?) in a foreign language?
for me german and portuguese are the biggest priority.
most of the streams are in english tho…

what are your setups?
the only app that kinda lets you choose your language in a consistent way is streamflix that i’ve found so far.. but only a few languages on there.

when I Google my question all I get are responses as if I'm trying to plug the firestick into the hdmi port no matter how I word the question

A few things I'm happy with

- Android Auto, parked use only. The full app runs on the car screen while the car is stopped. It's not a driving feature.

- A proper TV guide. Scrollable EPG grid, now/next info, reminders, catch-up (where your provider supports it) and DVR recording.

- Movies and series merge too. The same title from several sources becomes one card, and resume points and watched marks sync with your Jellyfin, Silo or Plex server.

- Duplicate channels merge. Multiple feeds of the same channel collapse into one entry at the best quality available (4K → FHD → HD → SD), with instant fallback mid-playback.

- Made for the remote. D-pad friendly, and tested on Fire TV Sticks from the 1st gen to the current one, a Sony Bravia and a Samsung phone.

- No paywall. Multi-playlist support, EPG and recording are all included, with no account and no telemetry.

Advice on what to do now?

For years I have been using a Firestick Basic Edition (2017) to run the Mango Display app (a customisable dashboard that displays my calendar) and it has worked exceptionally well, despite the basic edition being extremely slow and occasionally becoming unresponsive.

In the recent Prime Day deals here in Australia I picked up a Firestick 4K Select to hopefully resolve the slow UI and occasion bouts of unresponsiveness.

I have my monitor mounted on the wall as a permanent display, so the first thing I did on receiving my new Firestick is go into the settings and disable the ambient mode. For some reason every few hours I come back to the new Firestick 4K Select has gone into sleep mode. Requiring me to wake it via the remote, and re-open the Mango Display app

I cannot find a sleep timeout setting or anything in Ambient mode that suggests I can stop this from occurring.

Is there a way I can fix this without having to go back to my old Firestick from 2017?

I’m trying to get a device to watch live sporting events , shows , anime etc and I don’t know which one I should get for the sideloading apps. I keep hearing mixed reviews about the fire sticks saying that I should get a ONN instead . Any advice or even recommendations?

So others can listen through the soundbar whilst the person that needs headphones can also listen in?

Like youtube tv does so I can have 4 games on at once on Sundays? I've been using CinemaHQ or Ak Sports but I would really like multi streams. Any suggestions?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what are the steps now to get movies? series & sports (in german language) running without buffering? i am also open to pay some service (like real debrid) if this increases the viewing experience a good amount.

Is anyone else having an issue with shows/movies on the Paramount plus app that are 1080p not streaming in HD on their Amazon firestick? The weird part is that 4K media streams absolutely fine, but when switching back to a show that doesn’t shoot in 4K it’s perpetually fuzzy. For context, these are new shows that are currently airing.

I’ve also checked this on my Roku stick (on a secondary tv) & it’s absolutely fine. So I don’t know if Amazon’s having an issue, & if anyone else is experiencing it. Any tips on how to fix it? I’ve tried force stopping, clearing the cache & relaunching. I’ve also deleted the app, restarted the firestick & downloaded again on startup but still have the same problem.

I've been using Claude and Google's AI mode, but my Claude credits keep running out, and Google can be helpful to a point - and from a point, every conversation I have to relay the groundwork (I'm building up a script that I have to paste right at the beginning of each conversation in an attempt to keep it on track).

Are there any other free options out there that can hand-hold through troubleshooting a rooted system, and keep to the context (i.e. always be aware of my model, and what the current stack is)?

Hi! I have a new subscription to sky stream but the sky puck provided keeps resetting when I use it, Sky said it’s my broadband and won’t do anything. My Firestick works great though so I watch Netflix, Disney+ and the other apps on there instead. But I can’t find an app to watch the Sky content on the Firestick. Can anyone help me find one please, thanks 😊
