Topic I love the FGC
This moment at the EVO France. Punk vs Kachikawa , losers final, 2-2. The tension is at its peak, and they smile together like two friends. And the ending of their match is just beautiful.

Topic My Short Time In The FGC
I've always been a stream monster when it came to fighting games, never a player. But after getting completely burnt out on team games and dealing with teammates who refuse to take accountability ("where's my heals??"), I needed a change. I saw a video talking about how in the FGC, every loss is strictly on you to adapt and overcome, and that mindset hooked me.
I bounced off 2XKO (good, just not for me) and Granblue (looks sick, but I suck at anime fighters lol) before landing on SF6. That was the hit I needed. I grinded Kimberly all the way to Plat 5 and recently started messing around with Tekken 8. Between upgrading my controllers and meeting awesome people, I'm loving the community so far. Only bummer is having no locals around me—looks like I might have to be the one to start a meetup if I want offline sets!

Art (FAN-ART/MEME) Hatless Amingo // Bald Amingo // Amingo's Bald Head
Inspired by this Lingo Show fanart and Yogabagaba comic strip
OH NOEZ, Amingo lost his sombrero and he's BALD! One of his cactus babies is making fun of him for his bald head. Others were confused, and so was Tumblina—She's my OC who's simply a tumbleweed girl, and my self-insert for Amingo.
I added Ruby Heart and SonSon III from the same video game where Amingo was from, also I'm too lazy to draw them in my style, instead, I added artworks of them. Poor Ruby Heart, she's freaking out that the shiny baldness of Amingo burns her eyes. On the other hand, SonSon III was laughing so hard that the monkey burst to tears. Also, I don't play MvC2 that much because it has lots of violence in it and fighting games aren't my thing and I suck at playing fighting or combat games, I'm so sorry, it's, it's just my opinion. Please don't be mad and don't ever say that I played MvC2, okay?

Community LK talks about Professional Anime Players going Industry
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Found this interesting, especially in the light of 2XKO that a lot of professionals who play anime fighters go industry. Also seems specific that anime players go industry, wonder if there are any from the SF side of things that go industry as well.
Side note: I need to watch more LK, he's an interesting man with a lotta history attached to him.

How he works differently as the Regular Ragna is insane
Instead, he has Belial Edge INSTEAD of Nightmare Edge
And he has a Dead Spike follow-up.
I see why he’s a secret boss.
But with some of my Terumi skills, I managed to get through the first round.

Equipment Steel balls feels great
Now that I got your attention, I just received a steel ball for my RAP V and it's giving me a HUGE increment in inputs precision, I feel like the game difficulty dropped thanks to the added weight to the stick.

Help Mechanics/features you don’t really see in modern fighting games?
Im working on a personal essay about the deeper differences between older fighting games and modern fighting on a nitty gritty level. I don’t mean broad stuff like patch notes and battle passes or the strive for balance, things like weird inputs, unlockable characters, combos working differently depending on who is getting combod/character specific combos, these aren’t things that are wholesale gone across the board but have drastically decreased in quantity.
I’m obsessed with the cracks and flaws of older fighting games, the changes made to accommodate busier people, the change from arcade to console. I want to analyze it as best I can without having lived through the era

Help Tekken makes me miserable, but Street Fighter doesn't, despite me being much less experienced?
So, I have recently gotten to God of Destruction in Tekken 8, and I tend to hover around Tekken God Supreme and GoD. However, I feel absolutely miserable most of the time when I play Tekken, I have around 450 hours in it.
However, then I get to Street Fighter 6, where I have less than 30 hours, and it is somehow absolutely much more fun for me.
I particularly love playing Manon and Marisa, and I think the thing that makes it much more fun for me is two things;
Matches tend to be much, much faster than Tekken
Everybody is significantly more diverse in SF than Tekken.
When I fight someone in Tekken 8, everybody roughly has the same tool and is roughly equally as absurdly strong. That and the general balancing in Tekken right now is horrible, and in Tekken 7 everybody was a lot more well-defined outside of DLC characters.
However in Street Fighter, it is a fresh and different thing each time. I am not going to fight a Zangief the same way I would fight Dhalsim or Ed.
The problem with the Tekken 8 equivalent of that, Armor King and King, is the fact that King has absolutely zero of the weaknesses that Zangief does in their equivalent games; King is ALSO great at poking, ALSO has great striking, ALSO has fantastic movement, ALSO has great damage outside of throws.
Zangief basically only has throws, and so it is a lot more "well-differentiated" in my head, which makes it feel less frustrating,
Just looking for thoughts on this.

Help How alive is Undernight Inbirth Sys:Celes online for EU PlayStation?
I've been picking up Sys:Celes around Christmas time and I just wanna know how active the online is. Could I find matches fairly consistently online that'd match my skill level or am I gonna have to go on Discord to find players?

Topic Are there any good fighting game story modes?
Like genuinely asking. I think we can agree that Mortal Kombat 9 is like the gold standard for what a fighting game story could be but even then it's filled with plot holes and inconsistencies, and with the the SF movie bombing, I'm beginning to think making a good fighting game story is impossible, what do y'all think?
