Help Tekken makes me miserable, but Street Fighter doesn't, despite me being much less experienced?
So, I have recently gotten to God of Destruction in Tekken 8, and I tend to hover around Tekken God Supreme and GoD. However, I feel absolutely miserable most of the time when I play Tekken, I have around 450 hours in it.
However, then I get to Street Fighter 6, where I have less than 30 hours, and it is somehow absolutely much more fun for me.
I particularly love playing Manon and Marisa, and I think the thing that makes it much more fun for me is two things;
Matches tend to be much, much faster than Tekken
Everybody is significantly more diverse in SF than Tekken.
When I fight someone in Tekken 8, everybody roughly has the same tool and is roughly equally as absurdly strong. That and the general balancing in Tekken right now is horrible, and in Tekken 7 everybody was a lot more well-defined outside of DLC characters.
However in Street Fighter, it is a fresh and different thing each time. I am not going to fight a Zangief the same way I would fight Dhalsim or Ed.
The problem with the Tekken 8 equivalent of that, Armor King and King, is the fact that King has absolutely zero of the weaknesses that Zangief does in their equivalent games; King is ALSO great at poking, ALSO has great striking, ALSO has fantastic movement, ALSO has great damage outside of throws.
Zangief basically only has throws, and so it is a lot more "well-differentiated" in my head, which makes it feel less frustrating,
Just looking for thoughts on this.
