Kodachrome shot of a young lady with older woman in July 1972. The dress on the young one seems more mid 1960s than 1972, but i guess is to early in the decade for the 70s to take hold.

What would have been an everyday hairstyle for a young girl between the ages of 7 to 10 years of age in the 1820’s, that would be easy to recreate?
I have looked at paintings from the time and I do know that a lot of children from a baby till their later child years had short hair. But I have also seen a lot of paintings of young girls with long hair tied up in braided buns. I have also seen some fashion plates of little girls with their hair styled in ringlets (I also have seen paintings, photos and fashion plates from the 1840’s and 1850’s with the same hairstyle so it could of just been a very popular style for a lot of the 19th century).
I have also noticed that a lot of small girls with longer don’t necessarily have their hair styled like adult women with the curls on the sides of their hair, until in their preteen or in their early teens.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone help me date this portrait based on her clothes?
I am trying to date when this portrait was painted. Unfortunately it doesn't have a date or signature, so all I have to go on is the lady's clothes. For context, it seems to be painted onto glass, which is quite unusual. If anyone can help me date it, I would be extremely grateful! I believe it was painted in the UK.

Archive of Vintage Store Catalogs - Search, Shop, and More
Hi everyone! I built a website to archive vintage store catalogs: https://www.historysbestsellers.com/
You can see old catalogs from stores like Sears, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and more. You can search for specific fashion items, look for similar items on ebay or amazon, and other things like share specific pages.
I thought this sub might find it useful for historical fashion research or just general inspiration. I’d also love any suggestions for other store vintage catalogs you are aware of that I should add.
Let me know what you think.

Can anyone help with possible dates for these photos please?
Hi! I'm looking for help to date some photos I have from Bury, Lancs, UK please. I think they are from 1900-1930s but hoping to narrow down dates so I can have a better guess of which relative might be in them! Also, what occasions would women wear lots of flowers on their hats? And when was the transition from young boys having big white collars to wearing ties? Thanks!
