Daily Thread Official: [League, Commissioner, and Platform Issues] - Wed 10/14/2026

DO NOT post Who Do I Start, Add Drop, or Trade questions in this thread; find the appropriate thread within the INDEX.

Questions about Collusion, How Waivers Work, Stat corrections, League Scoring, etc. all belong here. Any commissioner question on how to handle a situation in your league belongs here.

Any simple fantasy football question, especially when you are looking for a quick answer rather than a discussion, usually does not deserve its own thread and should be posted here. Occasionally a platform's customer care department, such as u/YahooFantasyCare may be available to address your questions directly in this thread.

PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR SIMPLE QUESTIONS or LEAGUE ISSUE POSTS

  • Detailed explanation of the issue (collusion, rules question, changing settings, collecting buy-ins, etc), parties involved, waiver settings, etc.
  • Specific scoring rules (PPR, etc.)
  • Other league specific rules and details (league size, roster details, custom scoring, bonuses etc.)
  • Anything else you may think is helpful

Remember: Most answers to simple questions and league questions don't change from year to year. How much has changed in collecting dues in the 2 years? We encourage you to use the search function for questions like this.

PLEASE TRY TO ANSWER SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE'S QUESTIONS BEFORE POSTING YOUR OWN

  • When answering questions, please make sure to sort by NEW!

WHEN ANSWERING QUESTIONS

  • Do NOT reply with only a yes or no. This just removes the other person from the index without them getting information. You are not helping.
  • Explain why you came to the conclusion you did
  • Please respond directly to the OP or the Bot will not pick up your comment

Individual Simple Question or League Issue (with very rare exceptions) threads posted after this point will be deleted in order to keep the subreddit clean. Post here instead! If everyone sorts by new, your questions should be answered. You can also check out /r/FFCommish

Five bench spots is bullshit imo. Anyone who says they enjoy playing fantasy this way is delusional

Depends on league size. We have 5 slots in our 10-team mods league here (+ IR) so it means waivers are very active.

Yeah I guess that is the upside but I don't know how someone makes it through a season without having a really tough bye week and having to drop guys they don't want to. Do you recommend holding #1 kicker and or defense through bye week even if it means not playing anyone in that position this week?

You can't. Or you make tough choices.

I would always start an active full lineup unless the league rules didnt require me to and I was 5-0 or 4-1 at this point. Wins are too precious. I might hold the number 1 D I am not worrying about kicker

Do you think it's too many or too few?

0

u/tlz81389 16h ago

Too few. One of my main leagues voted to go from 7 to 5 spots. I have Vikings D and Reinhard and Jamar Chase on bye so I'm just gonna play without a kicker this week because I refuse to drop any of them. I have young/Jayden Daniels/stroud at QB and refuse to drop any of them either. And emanuel wilson/woody mark, one will be benched one will play but cant drop either

2QB league? Otherwise dropping a QB is the easy move

0

u/tlz81389 16h ago

I disagree that its an easy move. I dont trust any of those 3 to do well all season so i like having the options. But they all obviously have potential. Who would you drop first? Has to be stroud right?

In a single QB league those are QBs 13,14 and 17 in FantasyPros ROS rankings. Dropping one of them increases your win chances this week by more than it reduces it in future weeks. There's a good chance you can just pick whoever you drop right back up next week (or someone very similar.)

You make a fairly good point, i just worry about the future and if i make it to fantasy playoffs. Stroud has a better matchups than the other two. I dropped stroud for fairbairn. One league mate has TLaw and darnold so i could see him snagging stroud but oh well. Bye week 8 maybe he will get dropped again

Theres 1 SNF and 1 MNF kicker on waivers so if it comes down to it and its close i may drop reichard to grab them sunday idk.

Hell no. We went from 5 to 4 in a 12 man because waivers were dead. 7 is insane numbers

I'll see your 5 and raise you (lower you?) to 4. It's a 10 team league also so the waiver wire has a lot of meat on there. It does make for some interesting choices though where I ended up picking up and dropping Likely after a couple weeks because I drafted Bowers. It hurt to do it but there was no way i'm carrying two TEs.

On the flip side, I'm in a 14 team with 7 bench spots so the waiver wire is drier than the Sahara.

There's strategies for all of those and completely changes how you approach those leagues. Enjoy is probably a strong word but i do like thinking about it and how to value players.

Yea good points for sure. Maybe I just need more time to get acclimated. I can't imagine 4 spots damn. In my other league w 5 only im debating dropping Montgomery because i don't want to drop the bengals D. But I guess i should drop bengals for another defense. Just painful to drop a top Defense knowing you probably won't get them back. I'd rather take the one week hit and gamble. Like if you're wining by a large margin Sunday evening you may not even need to drop for a snf or mnf replacement.

in a 5 bench dropping the DST is the way to go. Like yes it sucks to drop a top performing DST but there's probably someone comparable on the waiver wire that you can snag for the rental. But yeah it never hurts to sit and wait to see if you need one or not if you want to hold on.

Yeah you're right, I think. Thanks for the insight

every year same problem, someone in my league "forget" to pay and then suddenly remember when they 2-0

Tell your commish to start postponing the draft unless all pay.

1

u/MrDaveyHavoc 16h ago

Also I like incentivizing payment on time. 20 more FAAB dollars for anyone who pays on time, for example.

What happens on ESPN if someone accepts a trade but doesn’t have the roster space when the trade processes?

Will it ask them to drop someone or will the trade fail? In this case they are trading a person on IR for someone not on IR

1

u/oliver_babish r/FF Moderator, Eagles fan 14h ago

It'll require them to drop someone.

1

u/ExclusiveRedditor 13h ago

Like once the trade is processed? Like if he doesn’t stop someone by the process date, it won’t cancel the trade will it?

1

u/oliver_babish r/FF Moderator, Eagles fan 13h ago

If he accepts the trade, it will direct him to make the drop.

1

u/ExclusiveRedditor 12h ago

Oh yeah he proposed it and I accepted it

2

u/oliver_babish r/FF Moderator, Eagles fan 12h ago edited 11h ago

If he proposed it, then that contingency is built into the offer on his side.

My league voted against increasing the limit for Kickers from one to two lmao… idc im sticking with my Vikings K baby

1

u/77O56 12h ago

My league sucks. To start the commissioners approved a trade where one of them got Lamar Jackson for Lloyd and Worthy. Laughable. I’m only still in the league because it’s a money league and I’m 5-0. Quitting next year.

Well now this week is Bye hell for me. On my bench are five players on byes and i have two roster spots on byes. I dropped a K to pick up a playable QB. The commissioners are forcing me to drop players to field a full lineup. Is this fucked? I’m not colluding with anyone? I’m not trying to lose first place. I just am not going to drop Goff or Burrow to pick up a rental K or Flex.

1

u/bankruptatthearcade 12h ago

Yes it’s fucked as long as it’s not written in the bylaws

2

u/akamikedavid 8h ago

Definitely fucked. Unless it was decided upon ahead of time that you had to field a full team every week, you can manage your team how you want. The main argument you can use is that if you had known about the full lineup rule, you would've drafted differently. But you were ready to take the L.

Can we all agree to downvote anyone that posts its dudes day? Who’s upvoting this stuff?
