Ladies and gentlemen and attack helicopters, this is why we read the labels on the back of cans. 40g of sugar is A LOT of sugar. You can taste it in every sip.

When I grabbed this can from a brand I've never head of before, I expected something similar to El Jefe's Diablo Punch, which is basically just fruit/tropical punch as well. I was wrong.

This tastes like a Kool-aid. Don't get me wrong, Kool-aid is good, but 16 ounces worth of caffienated Kool-aid is a lot. This liquid in the can is literally a dark red too. Ts is straight up caffeinated Kool-aid.

I know a part of my disliking towards it is because I generally don't like many sweet energy drinks such as Alani Nu Cotton Candy (and is the reason I'm scared to try Ghost Root Beer lol), but I feel others may agree on my take, especially since it isn't a 0 sugar drink that tastes sweet. It has lots of sugar, and every sip feels like a reminder of how much sugar you're consuming in that tiny can. I personally couldn't bring myself to finish the can.

160mg of caffeine. I'll never buy one again. This is my first and probably last Venom Energy drink I'll ever try. 😭

This hits right in the nostalgia. It tastes exactly like diet ruby red squirt, which was discontinued years ago. I always loved that flavor.

I'm curious if it's just me or not. Every sip has an aftertaste that reminds me of the can. I straight up licked the can and thought they tasted similar. 😭

It's not that I hate the classic Redbull, it's just that this is one of the reasons I'd pick so many other drinks over it.

Tried a new flavor today, decides to freeze it for it 40 minutes instead of 30 like I usually do. Didn't seem like anything was wrong until I opened the can and among the liquid I saw it had ice inside. Decided to try it either way thinking it's gonna be fine, but the flavor hit me with decently strong medicine notes instead of raspberry ones like it was supposed to do.

Reading about it online, seems I was supposed to taste some high quality raspberry, with no mentions of the medicine or even slightly chemical taste that I've felt there.

Is this a common thing?
