Done with DoorDash

For the record, I have had a DashPass subscription for 4 years with no issues with DoorDash support until recently.

The restaurants around here aren't perfect. More often than not, they forget something in our family's order. The past 2 times that I used the automated "Help" for something that the restaurant forgot, I was denied a refund.

I admit I became the male equivalent to a Karen and escalated the issue and kept getting the same answer. "Our policy has determined that your issue doesn't qualify for a refund at this time."

I kept escalating and was emailed a copy of the policy. I couldn't find a reason for the refusal. I kept escalating and was finally told that my account had been issued too many credits recently and that was the reason.

So, I'm being punished for the restaurant's mistake?

Fuck that. DoorDash will never see another penny from me.

Good, DoorDash is predatory and screws the drivers and customers.

Only way to change it is stop giving them your money

Tony Xu doesn’t give a shit about you the customer and he definitely dgaf about me the driver. As long as his salary is going up and his bonuses are fat, he’ll continue to screw us all over. He’d deny his freaking mom a refund if it benefited him!

Yes, it very much depends on how much of a 'Karen' you are. If you order a lot and only have a handful of issues, you will likely get refunded all the time. I've placed over 1,000 orders and have had 4-5 refund requests. Each time, connecting through the Help function, I've gotten refunded within minutes. My recent one was just a few weeks ago. That was the first refund request I made in about nine months and over 100 orders.

Folks not getting refunds these days are ones where they have requested refunds at a higher rate. I'm not saying yours should have been denied at all. I'm just telling you that at some point after so many requests, DD will cut you off -- whether the refund is justified or not.

I think it also has to do with how you accept the refund. I always choose DoorDash credits, cause yeah I'm gonna order something again and they messed up and made it right through credits, that's fine for me. But I also have never been denied a refund.

It's tough to find proof. DoorDash can't just give everyone who claims they didn't get something in the order a credit. If they did, then enough scammers would just claim they didn't get food every single time and DoorDash would go out of business in a few weeks.

I’m genuinely happy this happened to you. Stop using the platform. You’ll save a lot of money now.

Also, funny enough. My CC gives me free dash pass. When I look to order food from my wife’s phone vs mine. The prices are almost identical. She also gets more discount offers.

Dashpass is a scam

Dash Pass is a scam.. You'll still get other fees.. Not Worth It!! Delivery Fee, Service Fee, Distance Fee, Direct-to-You Fee! Its rediculious! The driver doesn't see a penny of those fees. The only thing those fees are doing is lining their pockets!!
