Sensor G7 (10-day) (no pump) Sensors keep failing

I get my Dexcom G7 sensors mailed to me in 90-day supplies (9 sensors). I recently got a new batch of them and so far, 3 have failed in the first 3-4 days with the latest one being today, 10/15/2026. I just got off the phone with customer service to have another replacement sent, and just put a new one on, and this one isn't even being seen by both the app and the receiver. I understand that these are individually packaged and such, but it has literally now been 4/9 that have failed in this recent batch.

App Issues/Questions Dexcom notifications causing audio issues

Anybody else dealing with this? When I’m airplaying a show or movie from my phone to my TV, the dexcom g7 notifications will mute whatever is on TV. If I have my Bluetooth headphones connected to my laptop, the Dexcom notifications will force the connection to switch to my phone. It’s really annoying to have to manually switch both of these things back multiple times while my highs are taking their sweet time to come down. Would love if anyone has ideas about a fix. Thanks in advance!

G7-10 day Placement Issues?

For some reason, the Dexcom G7 10 day hates the right side of my body. I'm extremely skinny, and can't use my arms or stomach. The one place I've gotten it to work okay (most times) is my buttocks, off center towards my hip (but not that high up). Whenever I use it on my left side, it seems to work okay. Whenever I use it on my right side? 100+ points off, bent filaments, errors, etc. I don't know why, it's in the same exact location and I do the same placement every time. I know it isn't user error because otherwise all of them wouldn't be working. I dread rotating my sites because of this. I've also had some issues recently with the applicator button sticking and not launching as it should, which I think has impacted at least one sensor.

What can I do??

General Dexcom tracking our private data?

I just saw this on Instagram, about Dexcom forcing through a new change that will let them track data on our phones. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas on how to respond and fight back?

Had a sensor fail this afternoon while at work, came home and grabbed another from the same lot did not pair. Grabbed yet another it failed to pair as well, finally on replacement number four and it seems to be working. There is clearly something wrong with this lot. I had another last week fail after two days. Not sure what is going on. Prior to this I think I went about six months without having an issue.

I now have 4 replacements on order. At least that was easy.

All lot 1826011010, mfd 1/1/26.

I spoke to a co-worker who has the same issue- not sure his lot number.

Connection Issues G7 Signal Loss with Pixel 11 Pro

Back in the middle of August I upgraded my Pixel 10 Pro to a Pixel 11 Pro. Since then, I have had recurring signal loss issues while at work. When I check my phone, the signal loss issues sometimes span a few hours. This problem did not happen with my Pixel 10 Pro.

Initially, I thought the issue was because I transferred the Dexcom app and Bluetooth settings from the old phone to the new phone with the USBC cable. I reset my network settings and paired the current sensor to my phone again. Still signal loss issues. To fix the issue I have made changes to my phone settings per what Dexcom suggests. Still issues. I turned to AI and tried other settings. Still issues. I bought a new, non-magsafe case to see if my case was the problem. My other case was two layers and had magnets for magsafe accessories. Still issues with the new, thin case.

From what I've figured out, there is a problem with the new Bluetooth when you're in an environment with stronger wifi. The issue still happens at work if I'm the only one there and even with the phone on the same side of my body as the G7.

I spoke to Dexcom and they said they can't help as my Pixel 11 Pro runs the unsupported Android 17 OS. I pointed out that I am fairly certain my pixel 10 Pro had Android 17, but that didn't matter.

Anyone else have this issue and find a fix?

My only fix is to turn Bluetooth off, wait a minute, and turn it on, and then after 0 to 10 minutes the data will backfill. Sometime later, signal loss happens again.

G7-10 day One arm works better than the other?

Lately I’ve been noticing a strange thing going on with my sensors.

The day before yesterday, my sensor on my left arm failed. It was inaccurate and constantly displaying “Brief Sensor Issue“, I change it and put it on my right arm. Very accurate readings, only needed to calibrate once.

I’ve been on these sensors since 2024 and this didn’t happen until late August this year.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it my left arm?

App Issues/Questions Pixel 10 Incorrect readings/Correct on pump

Just spent half hour on the phone trying to understand what's going on with my phone and G7 sensors.

Almost every sensor since I started with them in the spring will give me 100% accurate readings on my pump, but almost every session, at some point my pixel 10 will get stuck on 7.2mmol and won't move until I restart the phone. The pump reading is always correct. Dexcom says this is a sensor problem and not a problem with my phone, but when I delete all the old bluetooth connections on my phone, it doesn't do it.

They said there are two channels in the sensor to transmit the info - one channel to the pump, and one to the app. This only happens when I forget to delete all the old dexcom bluetooth connections. I asked why the different channels would transmit different numbers from their source and he just repeated that there are two different channels to transmit the information.

The agent seemed to be getting really annoyed with me saying it seemed to be a phone or bluetooth issue. They told me re-starting the phone is not a step in their recommended troubleshooting and then seemed surprised that re-starting it completely fixes the problem and the sensor works fine for the rest of the session and that it never happens twice with the same sensor. They want me to calibrate on my phone next time and not re-start the phone at all.

They stressed I should be calling every time to get them replaced and don't recommend continuing using the sensor when it does this, but it's been almost every sensor since I started using them. I also started on the G7 and got my new phone at the same time, so I don't know what would have happened if I was still on my Pixel 6.

Is anyone else having these kind of issues? Dexcom seems very adamant this is not about my phone or bluetooth connections and said deleting the old bluetooth connections is probably a coincidence.

I've heard of people getting inaccurate readings but I don't think I've heard of people getting one value on their phone and another on their pump. Anyone else dealing with this or anything like this?

Rant This doesn’t bode well…

Recently diagnosed so this was only the 2nd G7-15 I’ve ever used. This one had trouble connecting initially so I had to use the magnet trick which worked.
I’ve got 5 more days left on this sensor, but I’ve gotten 6 of these temp issues just today. Five of them in the last 2-ish hours! 😑
