Someone in the casting studio must clearly be a FNAF fan...

Just in case anyone wasn't clear before, the specific brand of Snyder Bros that huff copium have no place in the fandom. Someone really made a video about the Lanterns show having a 69% RT Audience score.

Has since dropped to 68%. Still Certified Fresh, mind you.

Edit: guys, I'm not hiding the fact that I haven't seen the show yet. This post has nothing to do with that. 68% is a fine Rotten Tomatoes score. It's crazy that this YouTube video is picking that up for a hit piece. Whether I've seen the show or what I would think of it doesn't come into play. I'll probably start Lanterns this weekend.

The Brave and the Bold This is what I want Batman to look like in the DCU

Like the title says, if DCU Batman looked exactly like this I'd be the happiest man alive, no tweaks necessary. Well maybe you could remove the cock protection but even that is something I wouldn't mind if it made over to the movies. I mean it makes sense that Batman would want to protect that are and it feels like a modern take on the trunks

This guy never misses a beat.

I got the strong feeling that he kills her fiance and morphs into him so he can be with her. That would definitely cement his villainy.

My Paradise Lost Idea

THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FROM A FAN:

The basic premise is this: What if Themyscira wasn't a perfectly unified paradise, but a massive island with thousands of years of history, different cultures, competing political factions, and unresolved generational trauma?

Synopsis: 10 years before Diana was born, a great war occured in Themyscria for control of the island. This is the story of how the war started, when tensions were starting to rise after the death of the queen. This is the story about Hippolyta, leader of the Themyscrian Warriors, and Carmela, the mob wife who washes up on the island the day of the queens funeral running away from her violent crime boss husband. This is the story of how they became friends and how they ended up becoming each others worst enemies. This is the story of the battle that occured between all the sects of Themyscryia vying for control that led to Hippolyta becoming the new queen.

My version of Themyscria: AMAZONIAN DOES NOT MEAN GREEK. Make Themyscria a massive island, almost a country. Different tribes and groups of women have come from different poitns of time to escape the vicious nature of men, from Ancient Greece to modern day. This means different cultures have thrived and grown and there have been conflicts over the centuries. Each sector of the island has its own leader as well as their own rules and customs. The queen, an ancient greek queen who was there when the island was made by Athena, maintains central control over the island while allowing each sector to be governed individually. And so when the queen dies everyone wants the throne for themselves.

- The queen has spies going out of the island and learning about human culture secretly, making sure the island is safe and keeping up to date with mankind and being prepared for any threats. This means that the island also has access to modern weaponry, Hippolyta even teaches her warriors to shoot all kinds of guns and theres a whole armory kept hidden, only Hippolyta and the queen could access it.

Forces outside of the island have an interest in Themscyria. Artemises huntresses come in because Artemis wants control of the land. Hera plays all sides and is more of a manipulative mobster. Ares wants Themscyria under his protection so that the warriors can join his army.

Carmela is the secret antagonist. She recognises her ability to get power on this island, as well as the power she can get on the outside world if she takes over. She starts of as the timid scared survivor, Hippolytas friend who helps her grieve in the aftermath of the queens death. How she goes from victim to powerful player to leader who has manipulated all sides and formed her own army is her story. Her inability to mentally escape the world of violence and cycle of abuse that she physically escaped from changes Themscyria itself and makes her the main enemy.

The Brave and the Bold What are your expectations about the creative changes for DCU Batman after Gunn’s recent reply on Threads?

Thumbnail gallery

What was promised in 2023 announcement:

A. Damian Wayne as Robin

B. An older Batman since he’s a father to 10-year old Damian, and has probably mentored three Robins already: Dick, Jason and Tim.

C. Grant Morrison’ Brave and the Bold run would be the blueprint

D. Andy Muschietti (‘The Flash’) will be directing, and later Christina Hudson (‘Batgirl’, ‘Birds of Prey’, ‘The Flash’) was announced as the writer.

Possible creative changes that could have happened:

A. Younger Batman, contemporary of David Corenswet’s Superman in age.

B. Dick Grayson as Robin, or no Robin at all in the first DCU Batman movie.

C. Change in tone to dark, gritty and gothic: in line with how the DCU Gotham is being presented in ‘Clayface’.

D. Change of director and/or writer

E. Robert Pattinson’s Batman as the DCU Batman post-The Batman: Part II

What do you guys think could be the creative changes Gunn is suggesting? The fact that he replied at all means it is pretty significant. Would love to know the thoughts of y’all!

If The Flash (2023) had been the final DCEU movie.

f Aquaman 2 had come out first, Flash could have ended with Barry waking up in a new timeline (the DCU), with a new actor playing him (maybe it could have been Grant Gustin, but with Blonde hair to infer a different/new/distinct version from the Arrowverse) showing perhaps a news report of Gorilla Grodd or another flash villain (with more comic accurate designs) attacking Central City. The film would end with him in an accurate flash costume, running through central city, mirroring the end of the flashpoint animated movie.

I feel this would have given the DCEU a conclusive ending, telling the general audience this is a new universe.

(Blue Beetle could have still released afterward with only minor changes as the only characters referenced in that movie are Batman and Flash (which both can have been operating for a few years and at least be somewhat known by the public, but doesn’t set up anything major)

Maybe James Gunn could have written a post credit scene teasing Superman 2025 (maybe a lighthearted daytime news report about superman, doing something like taking sick children on a tour around the world, like in all star superman as by this point they were already at the very least planning it, and as an indication of the tone of the new universe.

An alternative pitch to restore public trust in the DCU: What if the multiverse leak brought V (for Vendetta) to Gotham? (No cosmic threats, just peak storytelling)

Hi guys, after seeing the recent creative choices in Lanterns, I felt the DCU needs to win back the fans by utilizing its greatest untapped asset: the diversity of Vertigo and Watchmen. Here is a grounded, dark-comedy thriller pitch connecting Batman, V, Constantine, and Creature Commandos without the exhausting cosmic CGI. Let me know what you think!

TITLE CONCEPT: DCU: CRESCENDO OF ANARCHY

LOGLINE
When a mysterious anomaly cracks open the multiverse, Gotham City becomes the battleground for a raw, boots-on-the-ground ideological war between Batman and V (V for Vendetta), triggering a chain reaction of bureaucratic blunders, occult mysteries, and street-level madness that redefines the DCU.

ABSTRACT

Phase 1: The Spark & The Clash
The story bypasses conventional cosmic threats. Instead, Dr. Manhattan acts as a passive observer, merely loosening the fabric of reality to test Superman’s position as the universe’s moral anchor. This cosmic shift drops V into Gotham City. V begins vandalizing the city with a chilling message: "Justice or Terror? You can't kill an idea, because ideas are bulletproof."

Mistaking V for a new rogue faction of the Court of Owls, Batman hunts him down. The narrative peaks not with CGI sky-beams, but with a gritty, hyper-tactical parkour duel through the rain-slicked alleys of Gotham, culminating in a historic standoff as the GCPD surrounds them.

Phase 2: The Chaos Agent & The Domino Effect
Just as Batman and V exchange sharp ideological blows, Peacemaker—sent by Amanda Waller under a massive miscommunication to inspect the anomaly—impulsively detonates a massive bomb to "make peace at any cost." Both icons are presumed dead, triggering a chaotic domino effect:

  • The Underground Alliance: A severely wounded Bruce Wayne and V are forced to hide together in Gotham’s sewers, stripping away their egos and slowly beginning to understand each other's fractured philosophies.
  • The Pervasive Chaos: Gotham’s rogues throw a celebration of crime, thinking Batman is gone, completely destabilizing the city.
  • The Dual Investigation: Damian Wayne ruthlessly hunts for the physical culprit behind the bomb, while a cynical John Constantine wanders Gotham alone, tracking the lingering metaphysical anomalies left by the multiverse leak.

Phase 3: The Ultimate Escalation
Furious at Peacemaker's tactical blunder, a desperate Amanda Waller pulls her human agents and deploys the Creature Commandos to clean up the mess in Gotham. This sets up a highly anticipated, dark-comedic collision course as the military monsters march straight into the path of a very annoyed John Constantine.

To be honest, making a Green Lantern series is a really bad idea, even with Guy already being in the DCU. We could've used the show to introduce a new character, like Martian Manhunter, with a True Detective-style approach

The illusion of durability that James gunn's superman lacks.. I think.

so this might sound stupid very stupid but it is a legitimate problem i have with the movie that they can fix in man of tomorrow.

Supermans suit, Not the actual suit it looks fine its just for most of the movie the suit gets damaged a lot and dusty to the point u cant even see the symbol at times.

In cartoon and sometimes in live action there is unspoken rule that powerful characters cant have battle damaged suits, Physiologically it makes them look so indestructible and when it does get damaged thats when you know its hugely serious. Actual examples are Dragon balls Goku or characters like even zack snyders superman, They are strong enough to tank a hit obv all even the new superman is, but their suits also tank the hit which even tho isnt realistic its definitely cooler and gives the illusion of strength and durability to superman let me know what yall think.

The Brave and the Bold DCU BATMAN COWL NEEDS TO LOOK LIKE THIS.

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’d personally, LOVE if they pulled this off, something EXACTLY like this, very comic-y, and dynamic. With animated white eyes(like how Deadpool and wolverine did it) and the overall cowl slightly animated for expressiveness, so that it’s not like a hard sculpt. Ik a lotta y’all don’t like live action Batman having white eyes because of “acting through eyes” reason. But I think DCU Batman doesn’t need that. Normal eyes for Pattinson worked because of the story theyre trying to tell. The white eyes worked PERFECTLY for DCAU and the comics, if anyone character who lacks proper expressions, it’s Batman. I think DCU Batman cowl should be something exactly like this.
