In short: if your post contains AI-generated or AI-assisted content of any kind, your title must include "[AI]" at the time of posting. This applies regardless of how much or how little AI was involved.
Including the tag does not guarantee your post will stay up. Moderators may still remove tagged posts for any reason, at their discretion. However, tagging your post means you have disclosed its use of AI as required, which is the most important part of this rule.
Posts containing AI content that are not tagged with [AI] may be removed on that basis alone, regardless of the content's quality.

So this war has been going for 20 years, I kept stalling the war until the original leader died, and my old character died as well, and the war is still on , there's no option for a white peace since it's a great war , WHAT SHOULD I DO ? 😶🌫️

First note: appalling is a stupidly spelled word and gave me trouble.
Main reason for post is obvious though. We've all had the same BS child rearing events for gosh knows how long now. Dubbing up on The Beating on my good boi Giant/Bright heir today made me realize that we've lacked any additional content about raising your children. I'm cool with RP'ing and trying to see the bright side of this kind of mechanic, but I'm not seeing why they have so few events they don't have it coded not to double up on an event like that.

I mean, I'd hate her liege to do something silly like betroth her to someone. I am also not a barbarian, merely a tribal pagan. She will live a cozy solitary life in house arrest, until she turns 16, no dungeon, and no torture. I also expect the abduction process will take a year, or two to get the success chance up, so I suggest this counts as 5. It is not like I am snatching her from her mothers teat!
None of my highly esteemed sadist champions had any moral objections to participate in the scheme, which gives credit to the soundness of the proposition. It is also preferable to do it before the depraved catholic ways, becomes too hard to shake. I wouldn't want the poor thing to have to experience a severe religious crisis. I'd also like to point out that she is meant for my first born son, no Epstein shit here, mind you. Odin knows, I have already created a succession situation sticky enough by fathering 14 children. Also do you think I am curling my heir too much?
I like to at the very least, expediently fill out all the concubine slots as soon as senior croaks.

I started as Tuscany in 867, eventually united Italy, and finally took the decision to Restore the Roman Empire
I was expecting the decision to give me a more organized Roman Empire, but it turns out to be a messy empires realm
Here's what happened:
I understand that the restoration decision might reorganize existing de jure empires, but this mess like assign each kingdom or 2 with own empire!!!
My questions are:

One of the biggest weaknesses I find with intrigue playthroughs is that they tend to boil down to murder and seduction for the sake of acquiring claims. That gets old pretty quickly for me. Obviously, you could make similar criticisms of other playstyles, but I feel like intrigue has so much untapped potential that could make it more exciting and rewarding to invest in.
It also feels like you have to accept playing a selfish, evil character rather than someone who believes the ends justify the means. Someone who genuinely believes they’re doing what needs to be done for the good of the realm.
Another issue is that, no matter how good you are at intrigue, it feels like you’re eventually going to get caught. I don’t necessarily mind that part. What bothers me is that the consequences tend to boil down to getting a weak or strong hook put on you, followed by the inevitable “Oh shit, now I have to murder this guy before he exposes me, and then wait for the next person to catch me.”
I’d love to see more interesting scenarios emerge from getting caught. Imagine a courtier discovering that you murdered someone and offering to keep quiet in exchange for helping them acquire a neighboring Englishman’s county. Or someone finding out about your extracurricular activities and blackmailing you into helping them pull off a heist of the king’s treasury, with a negotiated 70/30 split.
The point is that these interactions could develop into multi-step schemes with their own twists, complications, and payoffs. Rather than simply being speed bumps for actively doing intrigue, you could find yourself drawn into an entirely new conspiracy, potentially benefiting from the arrangement yourself. It would make intrigue feel less like a repetitive game of whack-a-mole and more like a web of competing interests and shifting alliances.
I’d also love to see intrigue offer ways to influence the broader political and cultural landscape. What if you could secretly manipulate a cultural head into adopting certain traditions? What about meddling in theological disputes to trigger religious schisms or shift doctrinal beliefs? Or orchestrating elaborate conspiracies that eventually lead entire empires to declare war on each other?
I want to be able to play a Machiavellian count pulling strings from the shadows, shaping the fate of kingdoms and empires without necessarily being the one sitting on the throne. Someone who might be ruthless in their methods but genuinely believes they’re working toward something greater: the good of the realm.

I’ve wanted to play cs3 forever then when I got ready they took it off gamepass, it’s on sale for $20 for the base game right now, I’d probably buy some dlc later on but I’m wondering if the control interface is considered decent, and I guess I’m looking for something to scratch the old Rome total war itch I have (no longer have pc)
But this game is much much more complex lol, realistically how long will it take me to understand what is happening and the basics lol, am I better off just playing or should I watch videos, I did the basic tutorial should I do the full 2 hour long version?
Strongly debating buying it since I have enough points saved up for it, but wanted to ask some questions first so thanks in advance!

I'm kind of lost here. As far as I'm aware I fulfill all requirements and the only thing i can think of is that the Struggle was ended by France but I don't think that should stop me?
It could be mod conflicts but I've never heard of a mod stopping a decision like this and I'm definitely not running any mods that say they take out decisions.
I did get turbo cucked out of the Struggle though, it ended a year or so before i was ready to invade as an adventurer. :(

I'm playing as the Kingdom of Sicily. My only male heir died shortly before my character died so the realm went to my 2 daughters. My character is now Queen Judith of Sicily who I was smart enough to matrilineally marry her off. The issue is her sister, Princess Anna of Sicily who was not matrilineally married and had 5 kids from a different dynasty, and the oldest son is landed inside the Empire of Carpathia. I can't kill the children because Judith is compassionate, just and honest, and incurs 152 stress for 1 child. I would rather not do a succession war for the duchy because the realm is not stable enough since Judith is a women with me considering myself lucky that her father had enough time after the death of his heir to hold an ecumenical council and make gender views equal in the roman rite. He also started reforming the Lombard culture to be equal inheritance.
I want to know if war with Anna is the only option, or if equal inheritance will make the oldest child who is a daughter and unlanded Anna's primary heir since Anna is Lombard. If there is a better option than any of these please sing out.

Hello! Still new to ck3 and a little stuck.
I can't feudalize my holding, bc it says a building is under construction.
Under "buildings," the holding has 2 little squares that have red !s: both say they "can't be built" bc I need one of these 3 things:
It just seems like such a weird catch-22 im stuck in?? I need a building to finish construction to feudalize them, but the only way to remove its buildings (incl the ones in construction) is to feudalize them.
I'm a little lost as to what I need to do here lol. Thanks for any help ^^;

...by an abrupt enthronement as Duchess-Bishopress.
So, there was this Duke-Bishop, who is currently set as my heir. He tried to expulse my camp. I was on a long trip so had no possibility to move camp, so by the time I got back, he declared war. I seduced him to my lovers and had a bastard with him in the meantime, but it didn't help. So, I won the war by sieging his capital. I pushed enforce demands, and suddenly, I got his job! The rakish, deviant, etc. traits were taken from the start deliberately.
So, I wasn't even going to abandon free life so early. I guess, I have to somehow preserve my dynasty now by enforcing some proper succession in this hole...

Are there any wholesome ways to get back earldoms and dukedoms from family members? I don’t want to assassinate or attack family members. I am new to the game and this is my first campaign. I have confederate partition as my ruler died before getting partition, so I lost a few titles to my rulers second son. The son in question also has multiple children. I have no dlcs if that’s relevant. And I am also set to lose three titles to my current rulers other son as well.

So I'm nearing the end of my first roleplay campaign, which was very interesting and fun and I had some great stories that are worthy of a tv show. I have played my characters, not myself, and I abided by their traits. However, one thing I can't decipher is what kind of character would go for what kind of woman. For marriage, I usually restricted myself to in-realm and neighbouring countries, but traits wise, I don't know. And that's only if I'm playing a single character, it gets tougher when I play a father (or a mother) marrying my child. Any advice is appreciated, since I do plan to immediately start the next campaign after I finish this one, since I discovered even more fun mods.

Lately I've been thinking of hosting a large session in CK3 with all the DLC's and no mods. With possible count reaching upwards of 20 players, and my question is this:
Will the game run smoothly at 3 speed if everyone's hardware and connection was decent? I am not sure if many of you attempt it, and I've seen a few CK3 sessions with that many players but they never get into detail about the logistics of hosting such sessions.
And also, what mods will increase optimization for all players that you guys recommend? Thanks in advance for answering the questions listed here!
