How to freeze your mod versions : We get comments every update complaining about update speed making long-terms games difficult. while we understand the concerns, the current schedule allows us to handle bugs or game balance issues in prompt manner and gives new features a chance to be highlighted without dumping a whole bunch of stuff at once. Fortunately this is something that is relatively easy to deal with on the user end. You can either download your agot mod from nexus instead of steam and only upgrade manually or you can also use playset preserver (link) , which will preserve your entire modlist in a specific state. Please note however that we will not be able to help you with anything you add to your playset beyond the AGOT mod

Hi all! Visenya here. I'm normally in the portrait mines, but I've escaped temporarily to help out with the implementation of our new High Valyrian names, making a second pass over the master-list. I was present when Fox first started this naming project, and watched as it developed, pulling names from it for my own campaigns over the last 6+ months. I am already deeply attached to some of them, and they always find a place in my dynastic trees.
Fox mapped out every single root word that a parent could conceivably use to name their child (using various sources including DJP's High Valyrian conlang, developed for A Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon) and as a long-standing ASOIAF reader, I have often imagined what life in the Valyrian Freehold would have been like.
Who were these people? What were their names? What did they do?
High Valyrians without dragons could have been bureaucrats, merchants, sellswords and more, and a name can tell you a lot about a person. It can reveal to us a little bit of their history, and allow us some insight into their parents – were they named after a relative, a place, a flower, the night sky...or an attribute their parents hoped would manifest in their life and act as a guiding star?
So...when I looked over our Master List, I carried that curiosity with me. I chose any name that I could imagine belonging to a person in Old Valyria, waking every day to behold the Fourteen Flames.
I created a new weighting group for the second pass, and we will be utilising era-based cultural name lists going forward depending on the time-period/bookmark you find yourself playing in. For example, if you play after 10 AC, the Targaryen influence over High Valyrian culture will be increased, and 25% of names will be canon Targaryen or Targaryen-inspired. If you play after 131 AC, the Targaryen dominance over High Valyrian culture will become even more prominent, with 50% of the names being canon Targaryen or Targaryen-inspired.
The Targaryen house names have also been adjusted; previously it was a 55% chance of canon name, 30% chance of a selection of Targ-inspired names, 15% chance of pulling from the whole High Valyrian name list. The updated odds are 60% chance of canon name, 37% chance of a selection of Targ-inspired names from the updated High Valyrian name list, 3% chance of pulling from the whole High Valyrian name list. We also gated several names to only appear after certain events, or stop appearing after certain events. For instance, Alyssa and Alysanne will not appear once we have bookmarks before those characters join the Targaryen family and Aegor and Daemon will only be used by members of house Bittersteel or Blackfyre in bookmarks starting after the Blackfyre Rebellion.
Future work will include using some of the more obscure names from the master list as a basis for more High Valyrian Dynastic names, expanding variety.
I hope that you will all enjoy this second stage of implementation, and look forward to seeing some High Valyrian dynasties springing forth with a more direct connection, at long last, to Old Valyria.
We'll leave you with a sneak peak from the Portrait Mines...

Yeah, Robert died before he could have kids, so Stannis became King.
Viserys sacrificed Daenerys yet failed to bring back dragons, he beat Stannis but about a year in died from wounds without child.
So during that war Stannis had with Viserys, the north rose to put Jon on the throne. They lost so Jon was imprisoned, I as Paxter, paid his Ransom and invited him to court, (because hes married to one of my daughters) thus rescuing him.
That war is what caused Stannis to loose
So joffrey became King (passed off as a baratheon) he was so hated during his coronation, eventually we rose up.
Jon now rules as the only Targaryen blood left, as a Cadet house, Snowdrake

This dragon was ridden by Aerion Brightflame, Rhaella Targeryan, Robert Baratheon and Jon Snow. Crazy she's gone now. Rip Majesty

This is from a very old LoV playthrough where Aegon never landed in Westeros. I knew the dance (as in, a succession war around this time regardless of whose is it) was a scripted event, but I never thought it would go as far as to happen with an entirely different house and title.

Started with a traveller in Kings Landing and worked my way up to see the entirety of the world. I had no idea you'd get so rich and powerful from travelling - but I also gotta say, it gets monotonous and bland at a point.
Next step is to get landed somehow, but I don't think I can just settle somewhere, at least the option seems to either always grey out for me, or bug me out if I try to rebuild ruins.

The event to add +1 prowess to equipped armor and the other event where someone takes a shot at improving your armor (with varying degrees of success) will always remain my most desired events. Then there are a few really sweet events in the ground, one to improve you and your captains' hastiluder trait, one to improve falconry, another betting style event. The one to inscribe house words and/or a prayer on your sword is also great.
This event however I don't see talked about often and I seem to be able to get it quite reliably. A free and permanent 15% lifestyle experience for all lifestyles is quite valuable. There does seem to be a minimum learning stat requirement, but i'm not sure what it is. Everytime i've gotten this event I've been able to use this option.
This event is in the temple and there's also another good temple event where you can try to find an ancestor which gives 75 renown (or some minor prestige loss).

So, sorry for maybe a stupid question, but in my defence i just recently started playing agot and i was really enjoying it on 1.9 version of ck3. Sooo, veterans of this mod, how long does it usually take for mod devs to get AGOT patched for the last version of the base game? Like with implenting all new stuff from base game but with westerosi specifics? Also, do atleast more popular submods (like AGOT+ or brightboar) get updated quickly to match the mod?

I recently and foolishly deleted a submod to change the House / Dynasties of characters. And I can’t find it again on the workshop after a good while of scrolling and searching.
It was outdated, but still worked. Does anyone here know wich submod this could be?

I see that agot is not updated. Is it possible to play somehow?

In continuing to share my playthroughs, and the art I make of my various characters (which people have seemed to like so far, but please lmk if I start clogging up the feed or am just being a bit of a nuisance), allow me to introduce Lady Morrigan Lothston, daughter of Lady Danelle 'the Mad' Lothston, and Walter Whent.
Morrigan inherited Harrenhal at the tender age of 5, after her mother's execution at the hand of King Maekar I Targaryen, for crimes of witchcraft. Morrigan's father, Walter, was a distant figure in her life and spent more time drinking and hunting than educating his daughter, or teaching her about issues of governance or statecraft.
Thus, her education was largely handled by the maester at Harrenhal. A man who, himself had some eccentricities, and followed the old gods. His religion found root in Morrigan, who officially converted. She grew to be a wary, somewhat reclusive young woman, haunted by the fate of her mother, and the weight of Harrenhal.
Despite worries that she may have inherited her mother's madness, she was able to secure a betrothal to a young Blackwood man, who was more scholar than soldier. The two quickly found love in their marriage and, despite lacking a sociability often found in rulers, were between them adept at matters of stewardship and statecraft.
Rumours continued to circulate of Morrigan's own dabbling at witchcraft throughout her life, but no evidence was ever put forward, and supporters of these theories often met...unfortunate ends. In matters of war or conflict, House Lothston often remained neutral, and largely avoided fights.
Despite the love between Morrigan and Edmund, the two struggled to have children, with many pregnancies ending well before their time. Ultimately the pair managed to sire two children; the eldest a girl, named Rowena, born with stark white hair and skin, and the younger, a boy named Edmund, after his father.
Edmund (the elder), died in his late 50's, leaving Morrigan a widow for the rest of her life. Though a reclusive, melancholic woman, she continued serving Harrenhal, and her house, for many years more. Her son found a liking for stewardship, and her daughter for learning, particularly in subjects of faith and mysticism.
---
Anyway thanks for reading, or just lookin' at my drawing! I might get around to drawing Edmund and Rowena soon as well. I am currently playing their stories, and they have yet to conclude, so who knows what they'll get up to.

First picuture, from right to left: Queen Baela, King Jacaerys "Strongdragon" (is he hard-coded to have "strong" nicks? Every time I play him, he gets one), Prince (and heir) Aemon married to his cousin the Princess Naerys, Princess Rhaenys married to Lord Rickon Stark, Prince Daemion married to lady Arianne Baratheon (daughter of Royce), Princess Laenora married to Lord Kennald Buckler, Prince Lucerys married to Lady Ceira Blackwood, Princess Alyssa to Lord Arros Beesbury, Princess Visella (Alyssa's twin) married to Lord Borian Manderly.
Second picture, King Jacaerys I, his son and heir Prince Aemon, the Prince Jacaerys (Daeron II canon) and the Prince Baelor.
Third picture, official indroduction of the Prince Maekar to his great-grandfather King Jacaerys I, with his parents the Prince Jacaerys and the Princess Myriah, his older brother the Prince Baelor and the grandfather of the infant, the Prince Aemon.
Fourth picture, King Jacaerys I attending Prince Baelor's first archery lessons.
Fifth picture, the King Jacaerys and Queen Baela, his Queen of love.
And a few shots of dragons and the Targs' family tree
Playing as Vizzy, married Aegon to Rhaenyra to prevent the Dance and both his and Helaena's lives/personalities are different enough from canon that when she was magically pregnant with their canon twins, I immediately loaded back to see if there was a way to Not Have That Happen.
I can't figure out how to change the canon father for her kids via the menu or via debug mode. It seems like trying to right-click on her and do it that way just lets me designate her as the mother of Vizzy's canon kids, which is possibly the only thing less ideal than it being with Aegon. I tried to swap to Helaena real quick to designate the canon father of her kids and swap back, but I got a game-over the instant I swapped to her since she isn't my heir (I assume that's the reason?), so that's out. I can't just marry her off to someone else (which I hear sometimes works?) since she gained the Choosing Not To Marry trait last time I tried, and I think it would demolish the parent-child relationship if I did it anyway. The only other time this happened I just killed the canon other parent to prevent the canon kids, but I can't do that in this instance.
Is there any way to change the canon father of her future kids in debug mode? Or some other simpler way that I somehow missed?
Thanks in advance!

Created custom Valyrian Empire, noticed my rulers don’t have regnal numbers (ie. “Aegon II”). Is the Iron Throne the only title whose rulers have these? Playing 1.19.0 with LOV and Divine Intervention only

I havn't played to much with this mod, but was just curious what mods I would need to play as like a Dothraki, or be from Slavers Bay, or something.
I keep seeing around that LoV was the way to do things but its out of date so U cant use it anymore, and that there was another mod called Essos expanded but its also out of date?
Just wanted to see what all you could do, and what was needed sorry if my questions is not relevent, really enjoying what I have done so far!
