God no Seattle is the best city in the US. I meant even there they have religious nut jobs. I work in Seattle as often as possible bc my housing is paid for and it’s fantastic. If I had a spare million I’d buy a house there 😭
Idk but I was just over on r/seattle and someone paid a drummer to follow him around and beat the drums and filmed it. I was entertained. There’s talk of a gofundme for a bagpipe player 🤣
I was going to say Seattle has a lot of these obnoxious a-holes. It's so weird how they act like the rest of us have never heard of their obscure religion and that they're such victims.
They are everywhere, though they are MUCH more common in the South. In Los Angeles we get street preachers with PA systems and occasional loners hoping to "share the gospel" on public transportation, but it's less frequent here.
I feel like Christians and churches are more common but not so much street preachers. I never saw one in the 30 years I lived in Knoxville. Christianity is so pervasive it’s more of the social pressure. I didn’t have the balls to tell a soul I was an atheist until I was in my mid to late 20s. I still don’t unless someone pushes me about coming to their church. That doesn’t happen since I moved away. Most of the fundies are vile racists. It’s not a good place.
It’s literally everywhere. I grew up in Colorado Springs, and it might be more prevalent there than it is in the South. This woman seems much more like a Coloradan than someone from the South.
Trust it's not the just south. I live in MI now and there are NASTY people here that are proud about it. When I moved here from Florida about a decade ago it felt like I stepped a decade or two back in time. Not just the racist shit but a pregnant coworker went for a smoke break and I was joked at for asking why. Apparently they still think it's fine to smoke while pregnant around here. I've heard the upper peninsula is worse.
No its not southern, perhaps south east. Live in a red state and red city. Never seen anyone with a red hat nor a self righteous attitude. Besides evangelicals have not been taken seriously since the 90s. Influencer evangelicals may as well be Satanist they are too blood thirsty and that's not Christian

This is a Southern thing. Pretty common in rural towns in the "bible belt" & Midwest, but they are all over. Just not as much in the northeast.
