One of my friends recently said it plays more like a PlayStation spiderman game than something like DMC, guess this has me wanting more opinions on whether this game really is CaG adjacent at all or if it’s more of a super hero sandbox? Thanks for any feedback!

So I’ve gotten to this point pretty unscathed so far. Haven’t gotten close to dying in a while, and easily dominating every fight.
But I’ve gotten to the point in this mission where I’m trapped in a room with a bunch of mold guys, and I’m getting utterly destroyed over and over. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?
I know I’ll get some fire abilities later, but I don’t have them yet.
I have cleave/crush weapons and barrage skill.
My health is at 1120 and my power is 1310

I was super excited for my Control Resonant steelbook to come in today, until I realized I accidentally ordered it for the wrong platform (from Target). Does anyone know of any restocks that might be happening in the US on the Steelbooks? It looks like Target, Best Buy, and Gamestop are all out right now.

Why is so far away? It really break my immersion, i know is designed like that for the combat but i prefere take some attack and play in a more immersive way, this is really killing my enjoyment...

It seems Control Resonants sales haven't quite met expectations. While the main game is fantastic, the barrier to entry might be a bit too high for players who are on the fence or haven't experienced the Remedyverse yet.

To help boost interest and recover sales, do you think Remedy should release the upcoming DLC as a standalone release (rather than strictly requiring the base game)?

If they packaged it as a separate, lower-priced standalone experience, it could act as an easy entry point for newcomers. People who might not want to commit to the full base game right away could test the waters with a smaller (20$?) investment, which might eventually drive them back to buy the main game and other content. The DLC could have 5-7h story content + challenges. Bit like Alan Wake American Nightmare did.

What do you think? Would a standalone DLC format help bring in a wider audience, or would it be unnecessary?

I tried to play Fire Break but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

While in Alane Wake 2 case and I finished it long ago but never bought the DLCs.

It is a well known fact that that the FBC and in general Control/Control Resonant are inspired (at least in part) by the SCP foundation. For everyone that has played at least 80%-ish of the game with subtitles on may have noticed the subtitles "<Patterned Screams>". This for anyone who has delved deep enough in to the SCP Foundation would be reminded of SCP-3930 (Patterned Screamers)

The remedyverse has so many parallels, to gravity falls. I would love to see alex Hirsch to help out in remedy. Maybe help them make a book that has just as many secrets as it does details about the creation of the game.

I was already at the wic and I secretly wished dylan didn't bowed down to fbc immediately and become so "right", I was hoping that he was just a lesser evil compared to the hiss, and there are no right ones, just grey characters.

And as we progress further in game, the more fbc people and higher up succumb to the hiss and the world becomes weirder and more shattered as the hiss tighten its grip on the world, and Dylan have to put down people that are close to him and in the end it was just Dylan/Jesse and the Hiss slug it out for survival and deciding the fate of the world...

Anyone who got the ps5 disc already can you confirm if you can install the game completely offline and play it without downloading any additional data?

Finished the second game, now wanted to revisit the OG but, is this normal ? the graphics are like a youtube video that cannot proccess dark backgrounds and just does big colored pixels, i am not sure if you can see it but look the the right upper corner area, it just looks like mush and the game feels way worse in graphics than i remember, normal or issue on my end ? second control has no such issues and was clean AF

I've reached the Underpass and I cannot reach Jesse's fault because I don't have the ability to "fly" towards the little wormholes.

Where tf do I get it? I don't have any other main quest nor any quest related to it.

In the absolute best quest of the game, we meet again the absolute best guy ever Fred. We have to parse his superior way of speaking, and one of the first deductions are that Roosa is Jesse, Shepard is Dylan and drifter is sister or sibling.

But how sure are we of that? Maybe Fred (who is the freaking best) noticed that Jesse and Dylan are not quite siblings, and drifter means "altered version of...". We don't have an example of Fred using the term for other siblings do we?

Announced for next year, with such a boring t-shirt and hoodie, when the posters are right there screaming to be made into apparel. I would love to support Remedy with this T-shirt, man.

Can the former be Jesse Dylan Faden? Former meaning "the former child"? The note found by Jeese that was written for Ash Jr was signed F, as in Faden? don't have too much to based this on but was watching a video about Former and about his intentions and where is he now and this idea came to mind.

I had pre ordered for PS5 on disc but apparently the pre order bonus was locked to the digital? Also the digital upgrade pack (which I’m pretty sure doesn’t include the pre order bonuses either) isn’t available for some reason!

It makes me happy to know that Resonant’s record of fastest selling Remedy game is gonna be 100% broken once they release the Max Payne 1+2 remakes. That Rockstar clout is gonna have a ton more eyes on the studio, which will make AW3 or anything else Remedy makes after, sell like gang busters. Studio is finally gonna be thriving without having to worry about sales etc

Because i wanted the physical version, I waited until the release today to finally get the game.

While waiting, i grew more and more concerned about the game, especially if the combat would be any fun and if the game was weird enough like Control was.

Now, I´ve only played 2 hours of the game, but so far, I love how fluid and fast the combat is while having interesting powers.

I love that the game is weird and keeps giving you a "What the heck is going on" vibe, with areas looking weird, birds flying in patterns and interesting locations to go to.

I´m curious to hear from people, either getting it digital or physical, if your expectations were met or if you ended up feeling let down by the experience.

I beat all the resonants but haven't fully leveled the zones. When you look at the level rewards, the world feat cap increase says it adds them in the next resonant cycle, but if there's no more resonants, how do I start a new cycle?

I absolutely loved control resonant, but I just realized one incredibly important thing. We almost never hear Dylan's inner monologue! To me characters inner monologue is a part of remedy's game style and Quantum Break + Control + Alan Wake 2 were masterfully weaving them into the gameplay. But here in resonant we instead only talk to Zoe or out loud, which is a bit different imo. What do you all think?
