Software Pc won’t let me log in after an update and I’m getting increasingly upset

• Upvotes

Hey so I’ve had to wipe my pc twice within the past week and I just need some help. I have a Microsoft account and I don’t know what the password is at this point because I’ve tried everything and it just won’t work. Nothing works. I’ve tried doing the command prompt stuff to try and reset it but it just keeps coming back with “this device is not ready” or something and I just don’t know what to do. I’m getting to the point where I’m just sobbing and nothing works. I don’t wanna reset my pc again. I don’t know what to do. Every video I’ve seen just doesn’t work

Software Help to Restore recovery partition.

Hi. So I did a new install of Win 11 on nephews computer. I'm new to this. It showed under disk management that it had almost as much space for a recovery partition as the regular C drive. I assumed he must have a 2TB drive and half was unallocated to anything but this, not even showing up as a drive letter.

So I used powershell to merge them. Oops. Now I can't create a recovery USB. My intention was good. Why leave half the drive unallocated or something. Turns out that this recovery drive was just a theory or something and his HD is just 1TB

Long story short, how can I undo this without another full install? I do want to learn from my mistakes.

Thanks.

Hardware PC 1 BEEP into crash

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I recently tried a BIOS update since my fans were suddenly extremely loud and it was recommended that I update it. However while I was in another room I heard my pc give a loud beep and was wondering what happened. Now whenever I turn on my pc I get this loud beep noise for a second after turning my pc on. Sometimes instantly after pressing the power sometimes a second or two later. How can I fix my pc so it functions again?

Hardware New Motherboard

Hi

Had to correct this post, it wrote the wrong thing. Its the video card that seems to be messing up. I have the ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Graphics Card RX7900XTX PG 24GO I would love some help. I've been having issues with crashes and my computer freezing and two of my ports for display have stopped working randomly.

This is the error message I keep getting if anyone can explain it to me. Honestly unsure what it means

Software OpenGL 4.1 doesn't work?

So, my laptop is a Dell G16 7630, something about 3-ish years ago. Used to play Hytale when it first came out just fine. Stopped playing after a couple weeks, and my laptop has done some weird things since then. Well, major update happened, so updated game. Got this notification. I updated my GPU drivers, and that doesn't either.

I have no clue what is going on, since from basic research, OpenGL 4.1 is like 13 years old at this point, and like... I have no idea whats going on, but mabye this could explain why this laptop doesn't like playing certain games.

Hardware Pc makes weird buzzing noise that freezes the screen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've asked for help on r/pchelp but got no help so now I'm here, So about 7-8 months ago I was playing a game when suddenly the game buzzed for a split second and did that for about 4 seconds, I thought it was weird at first but thought nothing of it, then it happened again a little while later so I restarted my pc thinking it'd fix it but it didn't, this kept going on and on and it's only gotten worse, the sound has gotten louder, it now freezes my screen for a second anytime it happens, the buzzings go on for longer, etc etc and I've tried everything to fix it, I've updated drivers, restarted my pc, etc etc and idk what to do anymore. So if anyone knows the issue please tell me, thank you (Also I originally though maybe it was just a problem with my headphones until I unplugged my headphones during the buzzing once and it kept happening through my pc speakers)

Hardware ASUS F15 Won’t Open

I’m trying to open my ASUS F15 as I ordered a 1TB stick to throw in to finally upgrade the 512GB. That and I’m finally going to try and clean it regularly as my cat loves the thing.

The problem is mine is different than all the tutorials and manuals I look up. There should be 11-12 screws and one captive to the lid, but I removed all the screws fully and there’s only 6? On top of that, it won’t pry or open easily and I don’t want to force it open.

Any suggestions? I don’t have the right pry tools but the video I watched the guy was able to just pull it open with his fingernails, I’ve tried an old plastic card and a plastic dish scraper thing but it won’t budge unless I use a tiny screwdriver (conservatively just enough to stick the card in before taking it out, I don’t want to bend/scratch/crack anything)

Software Internet issues with wifi (and possibly ethernet)

I put software but unsure if its software or hardware. I assume its software because at some point the hardware worked perfectly fine. Running windows 10, Z590 AORUS Ultra motherboard version "x.x",

Have had issues with internet for the longest time.
Used to use a TP-Link 2000mbs ethernet that plugs into the wall/ outlet and then you plug another one into the wall near the router and into it, that stopped working a while back (had some issues, forget exactly what but I believe its in the same vein as the wifi). Switched to wifi and for the last 6 months at least, my internet will turn off for a few seconds, sometimes even 30 seconds to a minute, then come back, and follow that cycle until the router was reset. This is the only device which does it, and still does it even though I just purchased a new router.
Ive tried going into device manager and changing around the "802.11a/b/g Wireless mode" settings, the "802.11n/ac/ax" settings, and disabling packet coalescing. Initially both were set to the "6. Dual band 802.11a/b/g" and "4. 802.11ax" and while sometimes the internet would turn off, it still worked most the time. But now I manually installed the newest drivers for the motherboard, and if I dont have the "n/ac/ax" settings set to disabled, my wifi will not function whatsoever. In fact it was so bad that I had to install the 2nd to last drivers for it to function anywhere near properly (Jun 14, 2022 wifi drivers). Ive seen a similar thread where someone reset their wifi stuff by typing like 5 things into command prompt, the whole“netsh winsock reset”, I did that, and it did not do anything. Ive changed "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" off.

Ive tried so many times to fix this that I dont know at this point what I have and havent changed, I know Ive changed settings in bios before, and ive probably spent 15 hours total troubleshooting this over the last 6 months over multiple sessions. If anyone could help me figure out the issue that would be great. Let me know if you need any more hardware information

Software My laptop is crashing and showing a black screen with code “INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE”

Post image
2 Upvotes

My laptop is currently having what I believe to be a software problem. It boots up no problem and goes all the way to my desktop as it should. But once I get to the desktop everything freezes.

The laptop then crashes showing a black screen saying “your device ran into an issue and needs to restart” with the stop code “INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE (0x7B)”

When it first started crashing I was able to get in and work for a few minutes but now it freezes as soon as I sign in.

I’m assuming it has to do with a corrupt windows file or a communication error between windows and my laptop but I’m unsure.

What is the best way to solve this issue as a broke college student who can’t afford a new laptop or an expensive fix but relies heavily on laptops.

I am not a big tech guy either so please I need help!
