They have an amusement park where they were founded. The historical part was cool and they had some interesting things to go see but I don’t like Hershey chocolate so a lot of the treats were gross :( Good pretzels tho.

America is such a parody of itself. You have an amusement park for the worst chocolate in the world. Though I'm sure the historical part was actually pretty neat.

I mean, it is weird, but also Hershey's made the park themselves, not America. Might as well rag on Ireland for having a potato-themed amusement park.

That aside, most of it is not chocolate-themed besides the historical attraction/having the name throughout the park. It has a lot of genuinely fun rides, like the Mouse Trap ride or roller coasters like Storm Runner (also hear Wildcat's Revenge is good but did not get a chance when I went).

The park started as a leisure park for employees of the factory and their families, part of the town of Hershey. And it simply grew and expanded from there to be a full theme park.

For many years, it wasn't even candy themed, but Europe themed. They've slowly added in more and more Hershey theming because it's kind of what you'd expect a place called Hersheypark to be, but that change is fairly recent in the 100+ year history.

Just wanted to chime in lest you think some executive one day said "we should make a whole chocolate amusement park! Hahaha!"

There’s also a large amusement park that was a jam company/berry farm near Disneyland, it’s older than Disneyland
