I’m from Cologne, I’m a startup founder myself, and on October 22nd I’m organizing my very first event (it is free of course) together with STARTPLATZ at Mediapark. Thought I’d share it here in case some of you are interested!

The idea is pretty simple: Up to six startups will bring their products or apps, and anyone can come by, try them out for free, and give some feedback.

I’ve been to quite a few startup events myself, and honestly, I feel like there are already enough events where you just sit around listening to pitches and presentations. So I wanted to organize something a bit different, where people can actually try things out and talk directly to the people who built them.

And you definitely don’t need to be a developer or have anything to do with startups to join. Actually, feedback from

people outside the tech bubble is often the most valuable!
There will also be free pizza and drinks, so at least you won’t leave hungry :)

The event takes place on Thursday, October 22nd, from 6 to 9 PM at STARTPLATZ Cologne (Mediapark 5). It’s completely free to attend.

And if you’re currently working on an app or some other digital product yourself, you can still apply until Friday, October 16th at noon to showcase it. Just send me a message!

Coffee LAP hat viel aufmerksam bekommen, nicht zuletzt durch Lokalmedien und Kritiker selbst.

Nachdem erst im Sommer das 5. Kölner Café angekündigt wurde, haben vor deren Eröffnung schon wieder zwei geschlossen: dazu gehört der erste Laden im Belgischen, der damals mit viel Social Hype eröffnet wurde sowie die in Lindenthal.

Statt Wachstum folgt CGN damit HH, wo die Anzahl der Läden ebenfalls schon gesunken ist.

Ich frag mich ja, wie das so schnell gehen kann, ich meine wir sprechen von eher von Wochen als Monaten: da sind doch Mietverträge, das muss sich etablieren - welche Strategie steckt dahinter?

I have seen a lot of people posting here about meeting cool people or meeting people over coffee or just meeting to have fun time. I would like to introduce you to socyl. We are working with a goal to bring back the IRL hangouts & to get rid of the social media bubble. I am really passionate about it and want to solve this problem of social isolation taking over people(not everyone but yes).

This is completely free to join. I just request you to bring some positive vibes. Just to let you know, this is something I am really working on passionately and even putting in some money being a student as I think it should be easier to socialize and meet new people. Die Kölner Polizei ermittelt weiter wegen eines Roboters, der ein 16-jähriges Mädchen sexuell belästigt haben soll. Szenen davon kursieren im Internet. Zudem spielte sich das Ganze nach dpa-Informationen in einem Bereich ab, der von der Kölner Polizei mit Kameras überwacht wird. Ein Polizeisprecher bestätigte, dass Bildmaterial ausgewertet werde.

Ab Cäcilienstraße/Schildergasse ist irgendwie Schluss und Google Maps will, dass ich am Rhein langfahre oder die Ringe runter. Irgendwie kann man nur zwischen überfüllten, kleinen Gassen und Umwegen wählen? Hat jemand eine Idee? Vor allem wie man am besten über die Cäcillienstraße kommt!
