I was a teacher for 30 years. If I did surgery on your child, they wouldn't be coming home as a different gender. They wouldn't be coming home at all.

This is because I am not a surgeon, and I don't know how to properly perform surgery. None of my colleagues were surgeons either.

If we were able and willing to perform surgeries, why would we work as teachers for $60k when we could be surgeons for $300k?

I've replaced my own brakes and rotors, swapped out electrical outlets, how hard can a little redesign of human anatomy be? 20 minutes, tops. No recovery time. Just snip, snap, snip, snap, and Bob's your uncle.
