Forever They actually did the change I asked for! I am so excited!
I have been wanting this simple change ever since classic 2019. And I am so glad that the team is finally listening to the players and implementing simple things like this. It makes hunter so much smoother to use.
Thank you WoW Forever devs!!

Forever | Add-On Made a seamless map Addon for Forever that keeps Blizzards classic map style (Openmap)

Openmap: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/openmap
Hey everyone - been working on this throughout the Beta and figured I'd finally release it. There have been a lot of map addons posted here as of late, many of which forego blizzards classic maps for a stitched minimap. I've always wanted a massive seamless world map that is fully zoomable/pannable in the original art, so that's what this is. Along with some cool QoL things like resizable map / removing the annoying black bars in full screen etc.
Openmap is an open source, seamless world map addon for Forever that prioritizes the original Vanilla map art style. I've gone through the painstaking process of aligning and blending all of the maps to create as seamless of a map as possible with Blizzards original art files. You can adjust your settings to tastefully bring in minimap data on close zoom levels (or disable it) as well as hide unexplored areas.
As with most coding projects as of late Claude helped me write the code for this and is assisting with open source management since that is a lot of work. The repo is fully open sourced on git so feel free to pull it down and help me develop it if you're interested - would love to see more addons take this approach so things don't die in the hands of a developer that loses interest.
Anywho, I'm here if anyone has any questions/bugs/feature requests. Thanks! -Ji

Forever Beta Feedback WOW Forever will not be good unless they add /spit back into the game.
Ever since they removed /spit the game has been soft can we all agree that it needs to be added back into the game with forever to keep its integrity?

Forever Beta Feedback Increasing Homogenization - now is the time to have an actual, open discussion
The most recent update introduced a -lot- of homogenization. Some mirrored racials, weapon skill racials removed, raid-wide buffs/totems, etc.
This is a huge deal. Right now is also very much the time to discuss it.
Whatever side you're on, it's pretty fair to say that one of the major trends along the path from vanilla to retail was homogenization. Changes in favor of convenience and flexibility over asymmetry and friction.
I know we're not used to it, but I'd be genuinely curious to see a proper discussion here and not one side winning the upvoting/downvoting battle. For the sake of giving Blizzard actual feedback, can we just.. talk about this? Be curious about both classic and retail players perspectives?
Is this the right direction to go for classic+?
How much homogenization is right? More or less going forward?
Was this design choice just an overreaction to a loud minority?
Is asymmetry something you want more or less of, and if so, what kind of player are you?
