Self Promotion Built a Chrome extension "Teleprompter" with voice-sync tracking so you never lose your place during video calls or recordings š¤
Hey folks,
I wanted to share an extension I recently built and launched on the Chrome Web Store: Teleprompter.
I wanted something lightweight for browser-based presentations and video recording that didn't force me to create an account or route my scripts through third-party servers.
Under the hood / Tech details:
- Built entirely for the browser using local storage (
chrome.storage.local). - Features three driving modes: Speech-to-text live anchoring (Voice-driven), Words per minute (WPM) auto-scroll, and manual paragraph stepping.
- Zero data footprint: Scripts, settings, and logs stay on your machine, and speech recognition runs locally in-memory.
If you do a lot of remote pitching, content creation, or presentations, give it a spin and let me know your feedback!

Self Promotion I built ReachCraft Page Inviter for Facebook Pages ā looking for setup feedback
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Disclosure: I build ReachCraft.
Page Inviter is a Chrome extension for inviting people who reacted to a Facebook Pageās posts to follow the Page, when Facebook offers an Invite action. It has configurable timing, session limits and progress counters.
I would value feedback from Page admins: is the setup clear, and which controls would you expect before starting a session? The 30-second clip below is an interface tour with demo data, not a live performance test.
It requires Facebook in English and email activation. The trial lasts 7 days from the first job, with no card required. Afterward: USD 7.99/month or USD 69/year, plus applicable tax. No guaranteed follower growth or exemption from Facebook limits. Use only for Pages you are authorized to manage.
Independent product, not affiliated with Facebook or Meta.

Sharing Resources/Tips Built a UGC video for my chrome extension in literally 15 minutes.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I wouldnāt say it looked like it was edited by a professional video editor but itās insane for someone with zero editing experience to produce something like this in 15 minutes.

Sharing Journey/Experience/Progress Updates I updated X Account Risk Monitor. Want your product featured on my website? Letās talk.
Hi everyone, Iām the developer of X Account Risk Monitor, a free Chrome extension. Iāve been updating it to make your own activity on X easier to review and its reminders more useful.
The extension keeps a local log of actions it can observe on X pages open in your Chrome profile, including posts, replies, follows, unfollows, likes, reposts, and confirmed deletions of your own posts. You can review activity by month or across your full recorded history.
The latest improvements include clearer on-page reminders with the observed evidence behind them, experimental self-checks for similar posts, repeated link-only posts, and follow/unfollow patterns, plus a more useful PDF report and JSON backup. The interface also makes it clearer when each type of activity was last recorded and where gaps in the record may exist.
Everything is stored locally in your Chrome profile. The extension doesnāt use the X API or perform actions on your behalf. Its reminders are prompts to review your own activity, not predictions about account restrictions.
Iād appreciate feedback from anyone who tries it, especially on which reminders are useful and whatās confusing.

Self Promotion I built Decker: an open-source Chrome extension for browser meeting notes
I built Decker for meetings that happen in a Chromium browser tab. It records the tab audio (and your mic if you choose), lets you correct the transcript, then generates a meeting document, presentation, discussion page, or static prototype as an HTML file. No meeting bot joins the call.
The extension is free and MIT-licensed. It uses your own OpenAI or Gemini API key, so the provider processes the audio and text and may charge for usage. There is no Decker account. It cannot record native desktop meeting apps.

If you try v0.1.4, I would value feedback on whether you reached a useful output and where setup or recording got stuck.

Self Promotion I built a free-to-try extension that finds the videos, subtitles and files on a page and downloads them with clean names
Hi! I'm a solo developer and I just published Dx Downloader on the Chrome Web Store (also on Microsoft Edge).
What it does: click its icon on a page and it lists what you can download: videos (including HLS streams), audio, subtitles and files like PDFs and ZIPs. One click saves them with readable names instead of `video_8f3a2.mp4`.
Features
Course Mode: saves lessons into folders (Course / Section / Lesson)
Subtitles as VTT or SRT
Download history kept on your device only
No account, no tracking, 18 languages, dark mode
What it doesn't do: it only downloads what your browser can already access. It doesn't break DRM or paywalls, and it doesn't support YouTube.
Price: free to use with a daily limit, no account needed. An optional Pro plan removes the limits..
Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/dx-downloader/anlnobmlmjabdpioaphihlhjcbppgfhf
Website: https://www.dxdownloader.com
It's my first public extension, so I'd really like your feedback:
on which sites does it miss something, and what would make it more useful for you?
(I also made free in-browser PDF and image tools on the same site, if that's useful to anyone.)

Self Promotion I made an extension that runs your old Selenium IDE tests again (it was removed from Chrome Web Store)
Selenium IDE was removed from Chrome Web Store in the MV2 cleanup this August. It was not updated since 2021 anyway, but a lot of people still have tests recorded as .side files and now there is no way to run them in Chrome.
So I made SideReplay. It's a MV3 extension that opens .side files and runs them in the side panel. You can also record new tests, and export them to Playwright code if you want to move away from recorder tools later.
Some things it does:
- runs Selenium IDE commands including if/while/times, alerts, iframes and new tabs
- when a locator is broken, it tries the other locators saved in the file and shows which one worked
- also opens Katalon Recorder test suites, because Katalon Recorder is not maintained anymore either
- has a "Try an example" button, so you can see it working without your own file
Record, replay and the locator fixing are free. Exporting a whole project, HTML reports and running every row of CSV data are paid ($9/month).
If you used Selenium IDE before, I'm curious what would stop you from using something like this. Any feedback is welcome.

Idea Validation / Need feedback Tab Sampler
tabsampler.comI built Tab Sampler because I kept falling down YouTube rabbit holes, downloading full songs just to check a sample. Half the time it wasn't even that good.
It's a free Chrome extension. Capture audio from any tab, auto-chop it into samples, and play them on a 16-pad sampler right in your browser. No DAW needed.
Hope you enjoy it. Feedback is very welcome.

Asking a Question Extensão
How can I tell whether the delay is in my MV3 extension or in the web app? Iām a non-technical user trying to understand a problem with a Chrome Manifest V3 extension. I press F8 manually; the extension selects the latest visible item in a queue and clicks a confirmation button. Sometimes a coworker sees the queue update before I do. On my computer, the page may still show the item as waiting until I refresh. Iād like to figure out whether the delay is caused by the extension, my browser/session/network, or the web appās live updates. What timestamps or measurements would help separate those possibilities? I can share a sanitized manifest/content-script snippet and a local demo using fake data, but I canāt share the companyās real page, customer data, credentials, or access to the system. The extension only acts when I press the shortcut. Iām not trying to automate customer handling in the background.

Self Promotion QueueMaster: sort, filter, and bulk-manage your YouTube Watch Later playlist
My Watch Later playlist was a graveyard ā hundreds of videos, no way to sort or clean it up. YouTube gives you nothing. So I built QueueMaster.
It adds a toolbar right on the Watch Later page:
- Sort by duration, video age, channel, or title
- Filter by search text, maximum length, or channel
- Live stats: video count, total runtime, how many you've watched
Free forever. The $9.99 one-time Pro unlocks bulk cleanup: remove all watched videos in one click, remove everything from a specific channel, archive videos uploaded 6+ months ago. Bulk actions run one at a time with a progress bar and a cancel button, so nothing happens faster than you can stop it.
Honest notes: the age-based features (sort by video age, archive old uploads) work off each video's upload-age text, which YouTube doesn't always show ā items without readable age data get skipped rather than guessed at. And bulk removal is deliberately slow (about one action per 1.5 seconds) because it's touching your real playlist.
No accounts, no sign-in. Anonymous usage stats only (which features get used), nothing that identifies you, playlist contents never leave your browser.

Idea Validation / Need feedback I updated Scrollsmithās homepage ā is it clear what the Chrome extension does?
Iām the developer of Scrollsmith, a desktop Chrome extension for customizing scrollbars. Iāve just updated the homepage and would really appreciate some honest first impressions.
A few things Iād like to understand:
After a quick look, is it clear what the extension does?
Is anything confusing, missing, or hard to find?
Would you try it? What makes you interested or hesitant?
It has free themes and optional paid Premium themes. You donāt need to install anything to give feedback on the website. If you do try the extension, Iād also love to know whether choosing and applying a theme feels straightforward.
Even one specific thing youād change would be helpful. Thanks!

Self Promotion A tiny bit of harmless anarchy for UTM tracking
I was doing some dev work on our company CRM and came across our UTM campaigns.
I realised it's effectively untrusted data being injected into campaign systems, and could be lightly abused.
I had one of those developer thoughts that probably should have been left alone, but I do tend to entertain small evil thoughts when they're mildly amusing.
The idea of someone sitting in an office going through campaign metrics and just seeing FUCKYOU everywhere made me laugh.

So I built FUTM.
It lets all the usual UTM parameters through, but helpfully corrects their values on the way:
utm_source=FUCKYOU_EXTENSION
utm_medium=FUCKYOU
utm_campaign=FUCKYOU
Everything still works normally. Nothing gets blocked. Somewhere downstream, the campaign attribution is just... less insightful than expected.
It's completely local, doesn't collect anything, has no usage tracking or telemetry, and has no grand ambitions of being a privacy tool.
Mostly I just find the idea of FUCKYOU_EXTENSION quietly turning up amongst perfectly respectable campaign metrics much funnier than I probably should.

Self Promotion If you use x.com on desktop, check out this free extension I built: X-Alted. It adds cinema mode, video controls, custom backgrounds, and many other optional features.
Chrome Web Store Ā· X-Alted.com
I watch a lot of videos on X, and its player is pretty basic. On YouTube I've used Enhancer for YouTube for years, and I couldn't find anything like it for X. So I made one: X-Alted.
Beyond cinema mode and video controls, there's a lot more: 27 optional features and 95 settings so far, including:
Better feed-refresh control, highly customizable backgrounds, image/gallery hover zoom and magnify, more GIF and meme options for replies and posts, selective decluttering options, and more.
Also, I really disliked how ad videos open a new tab when you only meant to pause them. So with this extension, clicking an ad video plays or pauses it, instead of giving you a new tab to close.
VIDEO
- A small control bar on every video: finer speed control, volume boost, skip, frame by frame, screenshot and cinema mode. It shows up when you point at a video and fades away like X's own controls. You choose where it sits and how big it is.
- Cinema mode: the page dims and the video grows. You pick the dim color, how dark, and the video's size.
- Roll the mouse wheel over a video to change its volume.
- Keyboard shortcuts, all changeable. They only act on the video you're watching, so they don't fight X's own one-letter shortcuts.
- Save GIFs as MP4 or as a real .gif.
APPEARANCE
- No more high-contrast black or blinding white: X-Alted lets you use a color, gradient, one of 32 customizable patterns, or a picture as X's background. Works for both light and dark themes.
- Pick one of 14 background images in 4K, or use your own. Built-in dimming lets you tone it down, and text adjusts automatically to stay readable.
- Any accent color, not just X's six.
REFRESH, REFRESHED
- Point at "For you" or "Following" and a Refresh button appears under it, to load new posts whenever you want. So you can also hide the blue "See new posts" pill button that floats over the feed.
- Make x.com open on Following, a pinned list, or the feed you used last.
MORE GIFS, PLUS MEMES
- A new button in the post box that opens KLIPY, a big GIF and meme library (optional).
IMAGE CONTROLS
- Hover zoom: point at a picture in the timeline to see it enlarged. Roll the wheel to flip through multiple pics in a post.
- Magnify: click an image to zoom to full resolution and pan around, to see details or read small text.
- Save images at full size, up to twice as big as the copy you get with right-click "Save image as".
HIDE CLUTTER
- Switch off right-column boxes like sports scores, Who to follow, and Live on X, and keep them from coming back.
- Hide X's "More From This Author" and "Discover more" blocks in a post's replies.
Privacy: no account, no analytics, no tracking. Settings stay in your browser. Apart from the optional GIF panel, which talks to KLIPY when you use it, nothing leaves your browser. It asks only for x.com and twitter.com. There's one optional "all sites" permission, asked only if you turn on the video controls for YouTube and other sites' players inside posts.
A few things I learned building it, in case they help anyone making an extension for X:
- X's timeline breaks easily if anything changes size. So every X-Alted control floats on top; nothing in X's layout moves.
- X uses almost every letter as a shortcut (L is like, R is reply). A key only goes to X-Alted while a video is being watched, and then it's stopped so X doesn't also act on it.
- X rewrites the
styleattribute on the page's root element, which wipes any CSS variables you set there. Put them in your own<style>tag instead.
Feedback welcome. And what annoys you most about X's video player or overall layout?
Not affiliated with X Corp.

Idea Validation / Need feedback I built a Dark Mode + Colorblind Mode extension for Kleinanzeigen (Germanyās biggest classifieds site)
The bright white on Kleinanzeigen was killing my eyes at night, so I built a small Chrome extension:
- š Dark mode: manual, or automatic based on your system setting
- šØ Colorblind mode: correction for red, green and blue color deficiency
- šļø Custom accent color instead of the default Kleinanzeigen green
- Contrast slider and an option to always underline links
It collects no data and only needs access to kleinanzeigen.de.

Asking a Question Does Lemon Squeezy approve stores selling Chrome extension subscriptions?
I have two Chrome extensions already published in the Chrome Web Store. Both are free now; I plan to make a Pro subscriptions after the paid features are ready.
Lemon Squeezy asked me for product details, demo videos, pricing, and verification information. I provided the product websites and recordings of both extensions working, but my store application was rejected with a general explanation about multiple review factors and payment processor requirements. They did not identify a specific issue.
Has anyone been approved by Lemon Squeezy to sell a paid Chrome extension?

Self Promotion I built a Chrome extension because I got tired of describing UI bugs to my coding agent
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I got tired of typing "the second card, the button under the price, no, the other one" into my coding agent. So I built this.
It's called Circle to Fix.
Press ā„ā§S (Alt+Shift+S) on any page. Circle the bug. Paste one prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT or Claude.
The prompt isn't just a screenshot. It includes:
- the screenshot with your marks on it
- the code of the element you picked
- hints about the stack the page is built with
To mark things up you get boxes, circles, arrows, text, numbered steps, and blur for anything private.
The screenshot also gets saved to Downloads/CircleToFix, so agents like Claude Code can open it by its file path.
Screenshots stay on your machine. No account.
It's paid, once: $12 for the first 50 buyers, then $19. Lifetime license, up to 3 browsers, 14-day refund if it's not for you.
