The Chilipad 2.0 is the current generation: quieter operation, more consistent cooling, and a nicer day-to-day experience including a nightstand remote. If you're on a 1.0, the things you know and love about it we kept, and we improved the stuff that was bugging customers, like modularity and comfort.

So if you already own a 1.0 that's working for you, you're in good shape.
And if you're buying now, the 2.0 is the one to get.
