Are bankers now just sales people?

Does anyone have any issues with chase offers? I've had several not get any payment and when I go in branch or I call Chase they say they can't do anything about it because it's not on their end?

Also, since when did CLI get downgraded to a system instead of a banker reviewing your profile?

While I was there, the banker literally called customer support And then handed me the phone to talk to her.

Chase Pay as you go

Im pretty new to the credit world and have a low credit limit. Have a 200+ dollar charge but im in the 0% apr period. Is it worth experimenting with this pay as you go feature (breaks into 9 payments no fee since in the 0% intro period).

Again I emphasize i have low credit limit and this takes a large percentage of it.

Is it worth trying?

Any tips or warnings about this program for future reference?

Chase Alerts don't get sent for overnight transactions

For years, I've had alerts set up so I get a text message when there's a transaction on my cards ("single transaction over $X"). Over the years I've noticed sometimes the alerts are delayed (it seems like alerts for transactions that happened after 8:00 PM would get "held" and not come through until a little after 7:00 AM the next morning), but they've otherwise been very dependable. They might have been delayed for a few hours but never really got missed entirely.

Recently I've noticed this seems to have changed. It seems like the alerts that used to get delayed until the next morning are now skipped entirely. Amazon is a good example because I might have three transactions throughout the day that I get alerts for then have a few more transactions overnight/early morning that never trigger alerts (but then I'll get alerts for "new" transactions later that day). Based on past texts and regular monthly charges, it looks like this changed somewhere after 9/21 (when I last got a delayed text) and before/on 10/1 (missing a text for a regular monthly charge).

Has anyone else noticed they don't get alerts for transactions overnight/early morning? Is this a "known thing"? Has Chase said anything about this (ex. they're working on it, or this is just how it is now)?

I'm not trying to act like this is a huge deal for me personally, but more generally it seems pretty bad from a security standpoint and like something they would want to address (especially since it used to work more normally up until recently). If these are intended to help prevent fraud, it can give a false sense of security to the accountholder and "bad guys" just need to run their fraudulent transactions during this window of time (which is "overnight" in the Eastern time zone, but the middle of the day on the other side of the world).

Title: Chase Offer for Harris Teeter (online only) never credited, and Chase can't tell me why. Also, how do I get a CLI?

Hoping someone here has run into this, because I'm getting nowhere with Chase.

1) 2x Harris Teeter offer never credited

I had an online-only Chase Offer for Harris Teeter on my [chase flex]. I added it in June and another now in September, then placed orders through the Harris Teeter website/app on the months that I activated them, paying with that same card. The charges show on my statement as Harris teeter, but the statement credit never posted and it's been months, the last one, exactly a month.

I called Chase and also went into a branch. Nobody could explain why the purchases didn't count or do anything about it.

- Do Harris Teeter online orders get charged by the store at pickup/delivery, so they code as in-store and don't count for "online only" offers?

- Has anyone gotten Chase to manually credit an offer that didn't trigger? Is there a department or a secure message that works better than calling?

2) Best way to get a credit limit increase?

Separately, I'd like a CLI on this card. My limit is 3500 and I've had the card about 3 months. Is it better to call, send a secure message, or request it in the app? Is it a hard pull, and should I update my income first?

TL;DR: Online-only Chase Offer at Harris Teeter never credited, and neither phone support nor the branch could help. Also looking for tips on getting a CLI.

Thanks in advance!

Likelihood of winning chargeback - rental scam

Ive never done a chargeback in my life. Lets just say I was offered a space that came with all sorts of hidden terms & conditions - even a side of harassment. Ive been here not even 2 weeks and ask for my money back as the space has been misrespesented.

I paid rent via my debit card- loaded money onto Venmo.

If I file a dispute/chargeback for this, whats the best way to go about it? The amount being disputed would be $1200. Is a provisional credit usually provided instantly? I need my money back to secure safe housing. Will the "merchant" /receiver be notified right away?

Pls help - this is a dangerous situation and I'm 1000s of miles from family

Best No Foreign Transaction Fee Credit Card for Studying Abroad?

I have a 760+ credit score, 1 year and 1 month of credit history, and currently have one credit card: the Discover it Student Card.

I’m studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, from January to June 2027 and want to start getting into the Chase ecosystem. I’ve been preapproved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and the Chase Freedom cards.

I’m looking for a card with no foreign transaction fees that’s widely accepted internationally, especially in Australia. I’m currently considering the Sapphire Preferred and Freedom Flex, but I’m hesitant about the Flex because it has rotating quarterly bonus categories, similar to my Discover card, and I’m not sure I want another card with that setup.

Would the Sapphire Preferred be worth getting for my situation, or would another card be a better choice? I’d appreciate any recommendations, especially from people who have used their cards while studying or traveling abroad!

Thanks!

Holding Deposit Hostage

I'm basically just here to vent and to record my experience with Chase.

09-29 Opened two accounts with Erica at my local branch. I was told the money would be on hold until October 8, but that I could go home, log into the app and see my money - get familiar with the app. Got home, and app told me the accounts were locked due to fraud. Went back to the branch on 9-30, manager herself verified that that check was legitimately mine, and that the issuing bank had cleared the funds. Everything should be cleared and my accounts ready to use on October 8th.

10-08 Account still locked, called fraud number and spoke with Kay who put me on hold while she and a supervisor called the issuing bank to verify the funds were available (again),.  Branch manager had already spoken to the person issuing the check to verify it was legit.  Kay said that the funds should be available and the accounts unlocked "in 2-3 hours"

10-09 Account still locked.  Called fraud number in the morning, spoke with Marvin who said the restrictions would be released by the end of that business day.  However, at 7:00 pm, account still locked.  Called fraud number, spoke with Stephanie who had no idea why the accounts were still locked, except that it was "under review" - FOR WHAT?  Issuing bank confirmed funds on 10-08, account holder confirmed the check was legit back in September.  Stephanie said I should call the next day and "escalate" the issue.  She also tried to connect me, when I asked, with someone higher up the chain of command - but they had already left for the day.

10-10 Account still locked.  Called fraud number, spoke with Sheen at 11:35 am, she said it was under final review which takes 24-48 hours (why wasn't that done on the 8th????) and since Sunday wasn't a banking day, and Monday was a bank holiday, my accounts wouldn't be unlocked until Tuesday, Oct. 13

10-13 10:55 am, account still locked.  Spoke with Raven, who had no clue why it was still locked, says she spoke with a supervisor (who conveniently "doesn't take phone calls") and my accounts "should be unlocked tomorrow morning".

10-14  8:26 am, spoke with Maldeev who told me that my accounts HAD BEEN CLOSED BY CHASE without me being notified.  He said that he was submitting a request to reopen the accounts and that process would take another 24-48 hours, and after the accounts are reopened it will take YET ANOTHER 24-48 hours before the funds will be unlocked.  So another FOUR DAYS of Chase having my money and me not having access to it.

All of this should have been done on or before the 8th.  Maldeev reviewed the notes of the accounts and said there was never any follow-up done BY ANY OF THE FIVE PEOPLE I HAD PREVIOUSLY SPOKEN WITH.

Finality letter for older credit card transactions

I have a chase credit card transaction that was more than a year old and I had a claim done and chase ruled in my favor. but the transaction is more than a year old, so chase system no longer can generate a finality letter automatically.

I have requested to have a letter generated manually by the chase investigator, but looks like it’s not granted.

The finality letter is really important for my peace of mind so i can go to a prelonged international trip.

Do you have any suggestions for this ?

How can I get a finality letter?

Help my Chase Freedom Unlimited point redemption gift card link does not work

I redeemed cash back points on my chase credit card and the email came with the link to access the credit card but the website won't work. It gives me a 504 domain error. I called my credit card company and they wanna send me another link but I don't think it will work. Why does the egift.activationspot website not work. work and what even is this website? The lady on the phone was directed by her team to send me another link but I never even got another email! It was chase customer support. Granted this all happened within the last hour but I googled and apparently others have had similar issues and contacting support so far via phone has not come to anything yet because I am fairly certain this gift card redemption website does not work. I can not access my nintendo eshop giftcard and if I can't I want my points back!

Chasing a Dead End

5/24 denied me a United card (800 score, $150k income) — and now United's 2027 program is built around the card I can't get

Applied for the United Explorer after United pushed it at literally every login and boarding. Credit ~800, income $150k. Denied solely on 5/24. Called recon — no override, no exceptions, no human with a button. Ironclad.

Here's why I'm actually mad instead of just moving on: I'm a 48-segment-a-year road warrior, AA million miler who switched to United this year. United's 2027 program goes PQP-only, with card spend as the accelerator. Segments stop counting. So the entire loyalty program is now designed around a card that Chase won't let me hold — while United keeps advertising that same card to me every time I open the app.

Two questions for the sub: (1) Has anyone actually gotten a 5/24 exception through the executive office, or is it truly untouchable? (2) For airline cards specifically, is there any issuer less rigid than Chase on velocity rules?

Feels like the bank and the airline built a maze with no exit and keep handing me the entrance brochure. Any solutions?

How long do I have to unlock account access?

Joint account owner. Husband can’t log in to his online bank it says “we have locked your account due to usual activity please call” yes I know he has to call and verify but he’s away right now and won’t be back till another week or two. Is it okay for him to wait that long then call? Since it’s a joint account he’s been checking through my login.

I just heard that Chase will close your account if you leave it locked for too long but that might be just a fear mongering statement

5/24 rule in-house

I read you could possibly bypass the 5/24 rule if you applied for the credit credit in a branch. I have 19 cards, 5 within 24 months, under 5% utilization with an 815 Fico. I do not want to take the hit if I am an automatic denial under this rule. Any insight on the in house application?

Chase and chime error?

So opened a chase account yesterday, and I've been trying to transfer money from my chime account to my chase account, whenever I go to transfer it only lets me pick my chase account and asks me to link an external account, but when I go to link my chime account, it says it's already linked, but won't show up to transfer? Like I can see my chime account and balance on chase but I can't transfer money to my chase account from it?

CTR question/concerns

Got a CTR warning/informational letter due to previous withdraws. I had some lawncare work done over the summer and paid my contractor in cash over 3 days based on progress/payment schedule.

The total was close to $20k and I didn't feel like having $20K in cash at my house when I could just stop at the bank and get $6.5K per day as the work was done.

Should I be concerned about my account? I now know that I should just take all the amount out and not spread it out, even though I don't like the idea of having that much cash on hand I will do it in the future or just do cashier's checks. My main concern is just my account being in good standing and not at risk of being suddenly closed as it's my main account and everything flows through it. I do have access to Chase's Private Banker as we have enough assets with them so I am planning on calling them if the consensus is I should.

Thanks for any feedback and advice.

Nothing but trouble trying to get Paze

For 4 months I've been trying to connect my and my husband's Chase accounts to Paze. Chase is never any help and they say that they have no way to contact Paze for support. I think it originally got messed up because we shared some piece of information across our accounts, like an email address or phone number. When we are in Chase (website or app) there is no place to link. But we have gone to Paze.com to try to set them up.

We tried doing it from the United checkout, but United's page doesn't allow you to enter a dash in the email address. Haven't seen that problem in decades. So we changed all our email addresses at Chase.

Still, my accounts have never shown up at Paze. Ironically my husband's finally showed up and I bought a United ticket with it, got the Paze bonus points. But now when I try again (2 days later), with his same information, it says he doesn't have a Paze wallet. So I go back to Paze.com and it has substituted his original email address back in, which has a dash so we can't use it at checkout.

And this is the payment app that they hope to displace PayPal? Wow

Chase Balance Transfer Link on app and website - doesn't work

I have in the past used balance transfer offers from Chase to my advantage and saw an offer come up on my Chase app. I click on it...and nothing ever loads. It is just blank. No error, just a blank white page.

No matter. I'll go log in on my laptop. Click on the same offer after logging in and...it just loads and nothing comes up. I even tried an incognito window in case it was cookies, and that didn't work either.

Does anyone else have this issue? Should I message/call their support? I mean, depending on the terms I probably wasn't even going to do a balance transfer. It's hardly worth it to spend time with support if it's gonna take a while. But I can't even see what the terms are, so idk if it's worth it. Very odd.

Amazon order now need card to be unlocked in order to go through?

I have my chase debit card locked 24/7 and exclusively use it via Apple Pay, I only unlock it for walmart because they don’t have Apple Pay(Apple Pay is now available at walmart).

My Amazon orders also always go through without needing to unlock the card, for example, I ordered an item on September 27 and it was delivered & charged with the card being locked the entire time.

Now on October 11 I tried placing an order and it keeps saying “payment revision needed” until I unlock the card. I guess chase caught on now and realized letting amazon order goes through while the card is locked is unsecured?

I need an executive manager to contact me immediately!

I’ve been a loyal customer of @Chase / @JPMorganChase for 19 YEARS.

In 2025, JPMorgan Chase brought in over $185 billion in revenue. Yet right now, a series of unfair bank decisions and denied claims from Chase is jeopardizing my life and safety. Chase denied my claim and stacked additional fees onto my account. Because my account is drained, I cannot afford to purchase the essential medication I need for my illnesses.

I have a critical surgery coming up in November, but my car battery died, and I have no way to pay to replace it or travel to my medical appointments. I am currently facing eviction from my apartment, and my cell phone service has already been disconnected. Due to my medical conditions, I am unable to work and have been forced to apply for short-term disability. I have already filed a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (@CFPB).

After nearly two decades of loyalty, I need @Chase / @ChaseSupport to step up, re-evaluate my denied claim, waive these improper fees, and do the right thing immediately.

Flight and offer

I just bought a flight through chase travel. i had an offer though for it that I didn’t see till right after I purchased. however the charge is pending, should I just rebook ? or will the offer go through on the pending charge
