Represent your favorite candy with new User Flairs!

Hey r/candy!

I thought it would be fun if users had a better way of showing off their favorite candy, so I went ahead and created 25 user flairs of different candy brands! Go ahead and pick your favorite to add a little flavor to your post!

The 25 I picked were a combination of popular brands on the sub, and some of my personal favorites, so if I missed your favorite, just let me know and I’ll add it in the future!

Also, if you are a candy brand or a candy store, shoot me a DM and we can make you a custom one for your verified identity.

Happy snacking!

Bubs

Have you guys had Bubs? The gummy candy from Sweden? I am obsessed with them. They’re all I think about. Normally, I like all kinds of sweets, but now, they’re all I want. I don’t know if it’s the texture, or the flavor, but I can’t stop eating them. I can’t buy them anymore because I’ll eat a whole bag in 2 days. I think I need an intervention.

Candy Review Banana Tootsie Rolls 🍌🍬

Got these at Dollar Tree 💵 🌳 I was super excited because I love banana flavored anything and most candies are chocolate. I’m not a fan of any chocolate unless it is with something else like caramel , nougat , toffee , etc .

When opening the candies , they were very poorly formed . Maybe mine was a bad batch ?¿ but compared to the chocolate tootsie rolls , they were messy, hard to unwrap and even grab since it was not properly formed …🫠

The banana taste was very plastic , I would definitely have preferred the banana taste from Laffy Taffy . I couldn’t even finish more than 3 pieces before I spit it out and tossed the entire bag 🥴

I would give it a 0 out of 10 🚫🤢

Has anyone else tried these ? What were your thoughts ? 💭

Something about the giant ones are just better. I’m addicted. The cookie pieces seem bigger and there’s more of them.

Stumbled on the Haribo store at the Woodbury Outlets in NY. Supposedly one of two in the US and just opened recently. They had a wall of gummies with all their assortments. You can stuff a small box for $10. Got some of my favorites and all the ones I’ve never tried before!

Maynards Chews

Anybody tried these on for size? I’m pretty sure it’s the Swedish Fish chews but in the Canadian (and British maybe?) market.

I’d say they’re okay. Nothing to write home about, but I don’t find them chemically like people were saying about the Swedish Fish ones.

There’s Lemon, Red Raspberry, Blue Raspberry, and Lime. The blue ones are the best in the bag.

Candy Review Lion bar-Uk?

I moved to an area that has an international candy store a block away, bad news for my dentist.

I want to review all the new candies I will consume.

Lion bar- google says UK origin, the ingredients on the wrapper are in German.

Probably my favorite thus far.

The waffel wafers were not what I was expecting. I was expecting a much more brittle wafer akin to a kitkat. It was surprisingly soft.

The wrapper is misleading in the way of showing the puffed rice, there was way more than shown, it was a pleasant surprise.

The caramel is by far the best caramel I've tasted in a candy bar. Not sticky so it doesn't stick to your teeth as much as some other brands. Not overly sweet either, it complemented the chocolate well.

9/10- docked a point because it looks like a turd. Will be consuming again.

IMO the best Jolly Rancher candy flavors are apple and watermelon. The worst is cherry.

Guess what I got? Mostly cherry, one apple, four watermelon.

Boo.

I wish they still made these. I remember when I was really young, like kindergarten and 1st grade Young I’d walk down to the corner store and they’d give me these for a penny.

I got inspired by the people here who like candy corn + salted peanuts, and ended up with this Halloween trail mix. What do you think?

Candy Question Opinions on Dubai chocolate?

Post image

I really like it myself, but I know people say it’s too sweet, which makes sense because I have a massive sweet tooth. I’m not really familiar with the cost of the ingredients in this chocolate (pistachio, knafeh (I think that’s what it’s called?)), but I kind of think it being a trend makes businesses price it pretty steeply for chocolate.

A little while ago another redditor made a post about how so many of us were sleeping on this classic Mexican candy. I feel like I'm in an internal debt to this redditor. Made a trip down to the closest Mexican grocery store (about an hour drive from me) I don't regret it at all. I'll be eating these for the rest of my life! It's a perfect blend of great tarty mango a little bit of spice and general candy sweetness! If you haven't tried this yet do yourself a favor and pick up a bunch.

Apologize in advance for my candy folding.

Freezer

• Upvotes

In an attempt to slow down on peach rings and have them be “out of sight out of mind” I placed my bag in the freezer.

Big mistake, or big win?

They are SO good. We all know about freezing chocolate… any one else freeze candy, what’s the best?

Where is the best place to buy name brand candy for Halloween, cost-wise?

• Upvotes

I want to know if it is really worth it to just buy big bags at Costco or Sam's or is there some good prices for assorted, name brand, chocolate fun size bars, pound-for-pound at places like Walmart, Kroger / Ralph's, HEB, CVS, etc.?
