Защото са от българския регион на име Македония, не, че са от държавата, пък и без това щом според нас сте българи, които си мислят, че не са, значи и народните песни от държавата Македония са български...

Trust me bro it's like cocaine even with just bread, it's very popular spice in central Bulgaria, Stara Zagora, Nova Zagora it's just the best, Sofia and Plovdiv some restaurants have it but not all.

u/Historical-Truth-222 8h ago

As a Bulgarian who found this 2 years ago --> this is the shit. Nothing else comes even close to this. I destroy 3-4kg per year and Stara Zagora is the place to get it

•

u/Rare-Specific9188 7h ago

3-4kg per year? Any taste buds left whatsoever?

•

u/noamchomp123 8h ago

Will they have it in most spices places in Sofia? Like the women’s market?

•

u/dwartbg9 8h ago

For sure.

•

Potable, but I am not sure, I am not from Sofia, but for sure will find it in Stara Zagora or Nova Zagora... someone from Sofia should comment if they know a place. Last time when was in Stara Zagora was like 1 euro for 100g...

•

u/Narrow_King_3152 8h ago

BUT search ONLY from Stara Zagora, everything else is shi..

I put the first one on musaka the bulgarian version with minced meat and potatoes, and the sharena sol is great with just homemade pita bread dipped in it

•

u/RegionSignificant977 9h ago

Get a slice of bread. Spread butter on it, then use some of the brownish spice on top. It goes well with boiled eggs or fried eggs. Potato salad, roasted even fried.  There is a salt in it so be careful.  The other goes well with pork meat.

You wanted Bulgarian folklore and got Authentic Macedonian Songs. Just don’t tell the neighbors.

Dried savory, coloured salt (Bulgarian mied spice - mixed dried pepper, corn, savory,  fenugreek), CD Voice Is Listened - Authentic Macedonian songs by Ivan Karakachanov The Pope (the priest, not Catholic pope).

Literally what we call шарена сол. Shit’s like crack.

•

u/dragecs 7h ago

Marijuana, hashish and a compilation of the most beautiful songs you'll ever hear.

•

u/bahblahblahwr 6h ago

Macedonian folk music, sharena salt (soooo good, it’s a veggie salt and delicious on potatoes or eggs), and Bulgarian herb blend. It’s used similarly to Italian spices in Italian food. It’s mild but lovely in a cream sauce over pork.

•

u/wharleeprof 6h ago

The sharena sol (the brown one) is good on everything. Use it instead of salt and pepper at the table or like where you'd use a season salt.

•

u/rammstein-xrd 5h ago

Actually, you bought savory, sharena sol (a traditional Bulgarian spice blend), and some fantastic Bulgarian music from the pirin region of Bulgaria.Someone mentioned samardala-an amazing seasoning for fish that my parents grow at over 1000 meters above sea level :) but you didnt actually buy that particular spice! ;)

Most likely the guy was Macedonian, because he sold you Macedonian music, not Bulgarian. Still good selection, cheers!

•

u/noamchomp123 8h ago

Hmm I don’t know. He showed me a few options , one was defo Bulgarian but I chose this one bc it was the cheaper one. I’ll try find something Bulgarian tmrw

•

u/Inguisto 8h ago

That is bulgarian music! Do not be discouraged and dont listen to that guy. By "macedonian" it is meant the geographical region of Macedonia, not the country of North Macedonia. A part of the geographical region is in Bulgaria and that part has lots of Bulgarian-Macedonian folk music, including the CD he sold you!

It's a bit like saying that Swiss music isn't "European" music beacuse Switzerland isn't part of the European Union. Just to show how absurd it is.

Music does not know modern geographical boundaries and classifications.

•

u/AbbreviationsOk1999 8h ago

Bro, literally the music is taken from Macedonian performers.

Original:

Just saying, those are facts. In any case, music is music and doesn't know modern boundaries. Still there is Macedonian minority in Bulgaria. Therefore a music as well.

•

u/Inguisto 7h ago

The Macedonian music in Bulgaria does not come from the miniscule minority in Bulgaria that identifies Ethnically with the North Macedonian State, judging by your comment tho you seem to be from that state so there'd be no point to lead a bad faith argument on the matter. As a foreigner do not try to dictate our culture.

•

u/rammstein-xrd 6h ago

You really put that guy in his place! Iwas born in the Pirin macedonia, and Ive never had, a problem calling myself a Macedonian, just as people from Thrace are called Thracians, or those from Mysia are called Mysians... but we are Bulgarians! I have no problem with people calling me a macedonian, fully aware that Iam Bulgarian! Thats obvious to everyone! The problem is that this whole topic is so long... :( and tiresome... I even avoid it most of the time! Id rather build a 5-meter-tall concrete wall along our entire western border with North macedonia than argue with some serbophile from FYROM! :)

•

u/AbbreviationsOk1999 30m ago

But why do you have music on your audio CD from the so called FYROM called Macedonian Music then? I am really confused from the contradictory statements

•

u/GanyoBalkan Люлин 8h ago

It is Bulgarian

•

u/AbbreviationsOk1999 8h ago

It literally says Macedonian Songs

•

u/GanyoBalkan Люлин 8h ago

There cannot be Macedonian somgs from Bulgaria? You know that there is also a region called Macedonia in Bulgaria, right?

•

u/AbbreviationsOk1999 8h ago

On the Audio CD the most famous song is from the Macedonian Singer Orce Stevkovski. The original one is in Macedonian Language. I guess the author Ivan Karacorov sang them in Bulgarian.

•

u/Inguisto 8h ago edited 8h ago

The Macedonian folklore region is literally one of the most vibrant and most popular parts of bulgarian folk music. One of the most famous bulgarian folk musicians (Volodya Stoyanov) specializes exactly in macedonian folklore music and he is from Pirin MACEDONIA, which is a part of the republic of BULGARIA.

•

u/RegionSignificant977 8h ago

Not North Macedonian. Bulgarian from Pirin region.

•

u/noamchomp123 7h ago

Awesome thanks for the clarification

u/reverber United States of America / Съединени Американски Щати 41m ago

There is also a Macedonian region in Greece with very similar (at least to American me) sounding music.
