It's little but I love it, especially since each shelf fits two layers of books so it fits all my books

My Sandershelf is getting out of hand. I’m going to be sad when it expands so large it doesn’t all fit here. (Already kinda doesn’t fit if you count WoT and the Unfettered books)

My "Hidden Door" bookshelf.

Wanted to share my sliding bookshelf that conceals the entrance to my storage room. Still need to paint the bottom box to match the trim, but I'm happy with this so far.

Purchased a bookshelf on Facebook that was wide enough for this super wide door to my storage room. Built a box to conceal the wheels. There's a thin sheet of plywood on the back to prevent swaying or twisting, worked like a charm and it's super stable.

Wheels are 3 inch fixed casters with load limit of 640 lbs per 4 wheels, I have 8 to be totally safe. Not pictured is a bracing bar behind the shelf that holds it against the door frame so it can't tip over. The bar slides along the length of the doorframe when opening so it's constantly in contact with the frame to keep it snug. In the open and closed position, I have a hook that slides into an eyelet on the wall to keep the left side secured as a double precaution.

I'd love to eventually have some form of pulley or actuator system or something that will let me push a button so it opens and closes on its own. Haven't quite wrapped my head around that part yet, maybe a winter project. Would love to somehow incorporate a book that you pull to prompt it to open, but that's a little above my level of know how.

Anyways, still needs a bit of organizing but wanted to share. I don't have many readers in my life and thought this community might appreciate it.
