It's been officially one year since i brought home my little gremlin & I couldn't be happier with how that first year has gone 😭❤️
From a sassy and hissy baby to a now (somewhat) chill and "cuddly" lizard that enjoys head scratches and burrowing into my arm. Here's to many more years 🍻

He/she just arrived! They are eating and exploring right now they are also getting ready to shed as what the breeder had said hence the dull color

He has what looks like dried blood on this scale near his mouth. Other than that he seems normal and his scales are fine. I’m wondering if he simply cut himself or this is something worse

If it helps, the tongue color seems like the “vibrant” the northerns have, solid color for sh least an inch and a half, deep blue
haven’t gotten a pic of the tongue yet, and haven’t seen all the way down it, but I don’t wanna get her out and stress her anymore.
Got this lizard today from someone, I’m new to skinks not reptiles. Her home sucks I think these are wood chips? And she doesn’t even have a hide, poor things been sheltering under a plate all day :(
Getting her a hide tommorow, but I want to confirm my research that she’s a northern before I buy any substrate or try and set up heat/humidity levels, and you all know much more about this than me
Thank you for your time <33

my eastern bts has been trying to dig through the glass of his enclosure for the past few days. he's always done this but recently, he just won't stop. he loves to come out and explore, but obviously he can't always come out. I tried rearranging his enclosure so he had things in there to explore and dig out, but he still wants to get out! right now he's finally exploring in his enclosure, but im sure it's not long before he comes rubbing his nose against the glass again. I would rather he didnt get injuries from this, so does any one have any enrichment ideas for his enclosure that will keep him engaged? right now I have logs, lots of dirt and leaf litter, and plants for him, but any other ideas are welcome
