Im going as ringo starr in his sgt peppers outfit and was wondering if anyone had any good wig recommendations. Even if it was a wig that you had to cut to make it look as accurate as possible, that would still work. Please help boi.

Britain had (has) different plugs and sockets.
Did Mal Evans just do some soldering and rewiring or what?

I am a fan of their early albums and this is one of my favorite albums, so I am curious what does everyone think about this album?
Personally, I like their songs “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Twist And Shout”, “Boys”, “Love Me Do”, “Please Please Me” and “P.S I Love You”.

They recorded on April 14, 1969 (2:30 PM to 9:00 PM), with mixing finished later that night. John and Paul played all the instruments on the track. Eleven takes were recorded, with take #10 used as the master. Overdubs were added the same day.
George was house-hunting, and Ringo was away filming The Magic Christian
Photo #6: John arranged to have a double bed brought in so that Yoko could rest comfortably while recovering from a car accident in Scotland
The single was released on May 30, 1969, as a non-album single, becoming the Beatles' 17th UK #1 hit and charted #8 in the U.S.

My first immediate thought is when Dylan chewed him out over the similarities to his style in "Norwegian Wood - This Bird has Flown" (1965) and after giving the band pot, encouraging Lennon to really grow his styles and individuality
You hear SO MUCH harmonica on Lennon throughout Tracks like "One after 909" (1963) & Most of Please Please Me (1963) "With The Beatles" (1963) & "A Hard Days Night" (1964)
Obviously general Musical styles will evolve and change but what's the last examples that people think of? i certainly can't imagine any after Sgt Pepper in my head but maybe I'm missing some super obvious Examples!

Today I visited Liverpool and first went on the Magical Mystery Tour bus round some of the main Beatle landmarks in the city. This evening I rounded the day off by watching 'The Beatles Complete' tribute band play the Cavern Club.
Next time I'm going to book for the National Trust tours of the Homes.
What an amazing day it's been. I just wanted to share how great it was.

I mean like if George and Ringo each managed to convince their wife to play music with them after the break up of the Beatles and kind of formed bands like John did with Yoko and Paul with Linda

Hi, I'm off on my first trip to Liverpool at the weekend. I've booked the Childhood homes tour and the Magical Mystery tour. Anything else that's a must do? There are several Beatles/music related museums but I dont want to bother with them if they're just tourist traps. I'd rather go on a Beatles pub crawl 😉

Left ear: every single instrument
right ear: john and paul
I know it was not the industry standard, but my god what the he were they thinking?? some songs are borderline unlistenable on headphones. twist and shout, hey bulldog, michelle, they panned entire parts of the song into one sound channel and the vocals in the other, its awful!
edit: correction, the ORIGINAL stereo mixes are terrible. they didn't change the mixing in the 2009 version. its still terrible either way! the 2009 versions by far are the most prevalent versions on the internet and the mixing on them is terrible! and on Spotify for some reason alot of the mono mixes are unavailable. i don't want to offend anyone i'm just frustrated, i half-mindedly added a bunch of Beatles songs to my playlist and they sound absolutely butchered!

I don’t know what’s yall’s opinion but personally it’s amazing. I hated how everything was hard panned I think all that panning killed the dynamic of the songs, with this new mix everything sits just right, I love it! I had this exact reaction when the 2022 mix of Revolver came out, it was really well remixed but the 09’ mixes don’t bother me in Mystery Tour or Revolver because those albums are “weird” and those odd mixing choices match that psychedelic vibe. For example, I prefer the 09’ mix of “Tomorrow Never Knows” because it matches the experimental vibe of the song perfectly.
This new mix sounds fuller since the drums and the bass sit in the middle as I always wanted them to be, Macca’s bass sounds AMAZING too, they removed some low mids and that decision made the album feel even warmer. I also find funny that they kept some panning but changed it to the other side like in “Girl”, the acoustic guitar is panned left in the 09’ mix but in the 2026 one is panned to the right. I think “If I Needed Someone” was the best IMO since I can’t really enjoy it as much with all that panning but it’s perfect in this new mix. The thing with mixing is that it all comes down to personal taste, the mixing engineers liked it, I didn’t, but I know a lot of people like it too so it’s nice to have those two options (three with the monos)

My MONO stem remix & remaster of The Beatles' 1965 album "Rubber Soul", made for my own enjoyment but sharing in case someone else might get some joy out of it too.
Modern stereo remixes of classic rock albums are all the rage right now, especially with the new (as of uploading this) stereo remix of "Rubber Soul" by Giles martin and Sam Okell. But why do the original mono mixes just get re-released, instead of getting the same remix treatment?
Of course this is all just for fun. As usual, my intention was just to make a fun alternative to the released version, aiming only at a little more clarity, instrument separation and punch, while keeping the mood and feel of the original.
All my remixes are made using free and open source software that runs locally on my Linux system.
Obviously, I don't own the music featured here. If you like it, support the artists, buy their records!
