Another incredible piece of artwork for the Wraith video I produced for Youtube.
This is another one by Jayden Morris, this time depicting a Word of Blake Wraith (Praise Blake!), fighting against a Ghost Bear Locust IIC.
Jayden always delivers incredible artwork, and I'm over the moon for his contributions for this video. It's awesome.

Been collecting lance miniatures to paint for a little while already. I guess it’s time to actually start learning to play the tabletop. Are the playing pieces considered game legal still?

A tracked tank with jump jets?
As a ground vehicle enthusiast, I must insist.

Hey Pilots, I was in the store browsing Paints when I came across 2 force packs. They're both about $34 but I only have the budget for 1. Which is the better choice? I'm new to the hobby and only have 8 mechs so far I've collected Piece meal.
Update: Somebody asked so I'll post my mech collection here for reference.
King Crab
Stone Rhino

Thug
Centurion

Sorry if this is a 101 kind of question but I have only read a couple books before clan invasion and watched the old school cartoon and played some of the hairbrain Arano game.
I assumed the concept of mechs that could be customized per mission would standardize mech to single chassis’s per weight or even less than mechs in general but it does seem like there are TONS of mechs for clans

Got around to painting my favorite mech. When I heard the name mentioned in a book, I looked it up to see the design and I ordered the model almost immediately. I wish it got more love.

Mechwarriors: The next generation of BattleTech terrain is finally here!
Lorescape, the officially licenced modular terrain system designed for BattleTech, launches today on Kickstarter.
Made to expand, elevate and customise your existing maps, these hex-tiles fit seamlessly into the existing ecosystem with hexes sized to fit printed maps and mech-bases, and with biome matched graphics on the tiles including essential features like cover and rough terrain.
Terrain packs are available for Grassland, Desert, Lunar, Tundra and the new core box maps, with more to come in stretch goals.
Along with the terrain packs come a range of accessories to aid in your battles, missions and campaigns. These include a range of transparent tile caps that add extra cover, buildings, effects and mission markers.
The entire system is light-weight, high-quality, easy to use, efficient to store, compact to transport, and durable.
We also support the integration of other products such as buildings, trees, and rocks, via our open-source clip-on interface and hex-clip system.
The next generation of BattleTech terrain deploys today. Elevate your battles and back the campaign at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lorefoundry/lorescape-battletech

Before and after of my 1st Canopian Cuirassiers' new Griffin, leftover from the days when they were occupied by the SLDF.
The method I use has a base coat of Army Painter's "Sunburst Ochre" which doesn't have the typical disgusting green hue of most yellow on black paints and then Arny Painter's primary yellow "Daemonic Yellow" on top, both done with dry brushing only to give it the basic grungy appearance (pic 3) before I clearcoat it and add a dark wash

Wow! This is an incredible community! You guys helped out my kiddo so much yesterday. We have 4 more minis he was gifted that AI keeps giving a range of IDs to, so we can’t figure them out. Please help ID these last 4 mechs that we can’t get a set ID on. If you have Sarna links even better!
He is so excited! He now has 30 minis and we are starting to paint.
Also, I had a couple DMs regarding our modified game for younger folks. We are working on finalizing the rules and play engine, but once we finish the next round of play tests I’ll publish here. Designed for 8 to 12 year olds, but certainly younger kids who read and reason well will have no issues. It is absolutely free and open source for personal use. Designed to feed the bug for playing Alpha Strike once older.

Hi! I’ve been interested in this game for a while and was thinking of attending a game night soon. I would like to build my own lance before going, and had some questions. I am primarily interested in classic instead of alpha strike.
- can I use support units (infantry, tanks etc) in classic? Can I build a lance with just support units?
- are there any good list building/rules sites I can peruse before buying anything?
- is a melee lance build (kurita lance etc) a viable choice?
- if I wanted to have many small mechs in a lance what’s the best place to begin?
- is the beginner box worth getting before a game of armored combat, or is it like 40K where the smaller boxes are incomplete?
- any random tips for beginner would also be much appreciated!
Thank you!

At the end of the book it implies the dried up river at freeport was dammed underground and Comstar blowing up the cave entrance triggered a failsafe to flood the SLDF bunker. Is that right? The only thing that got salvaged was the memory core? The rest got destroyed by the flood?

I have a pretty limited number of mechs (mostly the corebox and a couple of legends salvage boxes). I just bought Scouring Sands and was doing some forcebuilding in anticipation of the campaign. Heavy Battle Lance, Cav Lance and some tonks. Is this force something that could do well in the campaign, or should I get another box of stompiebois? Please tell me I should get another box of stompiebois.

#mechtober today is all about Robert Charrette. I had the chance to speak to him on the latest episode of episode of my Star Wars podcast, Full of Sith, and he told me where the word "seyla" came from. https://www.patreon.com/swankmotron/posts/star-wars-and-be-171709398

This is based on the special 24th Unit based out of Palmina and in the Deloyeran war of independence. They were piloted by a group of four ace pilots.
I went for a chrome-like reflection on the canopy, I'm not sur ehow much I like it tbh... It's novel but I'm not sure I'll use it again.
