https://www.thebiglead.com/dodgers-alex-call-sydney-sweeney-novig-commercial-soft-porn/

Since the last post about this got deleted because it contained a X screenshot, hopefully this one actually stays for comment.

They aren't changing the point or distracting from the discussion. The point was why the name department of war was bad. Your argument was that they defend against war and these people are making the point that department of defense fits that way better. It's entirely the point of the discussion. You just dont like the response

Wrong

Wrong

It's entirely the point of the discussion

Please improve reading comprehension if you're going to try correct someone's identification of rhetorical devices

No it's not wrong. You just think you are a genius when everyone can read what you wrote.

It started with war.gov is disturbing. You responded with "how is it disturbing?" They then responded that we shouldn't be seeking it war. And you said they spend most of their resources preparing for/ deferring war. Then you kept calling it a red herring when people pointed out that department of defense does that better.

It's impressive you re-read and and still can't comprehend.

First, "[having] a war.gov website is kind of disturbing" is a completely separate premise from "the name department of war was bad".

Second, I said that "because we shouldn't seek out war" (with no other explanation) doesn't follow from the fact that there exists a website named "war.gov", since there are other war related activities than seeking out war.

people pointed out that department of defense does that better

And so, you can clearly see how pointing this out doesn't address 1) the "disturbing" nature or 2) why "seeking out war" follows from the name

Goodbye

I can't tell if you are dumb or intentionally disingenuous. The war.gov comment was entirely about the name, not the fact that the DOD has a website

I mean, obviously? Is this your second language or something? Maybe drunk?

Could not have laid it out any more clearly ๐Ÿ˜‚ Guessing you donโ€™t read or write much

Is it obvious because you clearly just incorrectly summarized it

First, "[having] a war.gov website is kind of disturbing" is a completely separate premise from "the name department of war was bad".

Those are literally the exact same premise in this conversation. So I have no idea what you think is going on
