Players Only Dodgers' Alex Call blasts controversial Sydney Sweeney ad

https://www.thebiglead.com/dodgers-alex-call-sydney-sweeney-novig-commercial-soft-porn/

Since the last post about this got deleted because it contained a X screenshot, hopefully this one actually stays for comment.

All of the ads are either for gambling, ed pills, or colonoscopies. It’s atrocious.

Colonoscopies: why he say fuck me for?

I just love the Cologuard's commercial mascot is an anthropomorphized version of a box that you shit in. He's just this friendly little cube with arms and legs, and he seems awfully chipper and upbeat for someone who's about to get pooped in.

That little freak is probably into it.

I thought the colonguard thing was new. I had no idea it's at least 3 years old 😭

classic snl skit about that box. spoiler alert, but he’s really into it.

The one I saw the other night had Cal Raleigh and Albert Pujols as spokesmen and they were not being subtle about the wordplay lmao

PLEASE tell me Cal says you take a big dump in the box.

Yeah, fucking reminders to get colonoscopies or a shit in a box test. I want to die of ass cancer like a real man.

Do the mail order tests actually work?

Cologuard does work, but a colonoscopy is still much better.

This is a Flo from Progressive household, buddy. Get that bird and lizard shit out of here!

Goes to show how much f’n money is made off us working stiffs that they can advertise repeatedly and charge us for the pleasure. Nationalize insurance. It’s ridiculous what a scam this is.

I find that yellow thing weird.

Glad to still have you here! My early (35 years old at the time of said colonoscopy) one turned out to be a nothing burger, but for a simple procedure, I’m glad I had it done for the assurance.

Reddit learning baseball viewership's primary demographic is old men. These commercials also play on sports talk radio for the same reason.

One of the huge perks of watching womens sports. Yes there's ads, but it isnt the same gambling, ed pills, or colonoscopy commercials. Ive noticed a stark contrast currently watching the wnba finals

2

u/Charming_Squirrel_13 7h ago

when i used to watch oxygen, i was genuinely surprised at the ads i was watching. “i am certainly not the target demographic here”

1

u/MetalEnthusiast83 Boston Red Sox 3h ago

What is it like yogurt and tampon commercials?

1

u/jlrc2 Chicago White Sox 8h ago

Hey now, the slightly younger men love this shit even more!

1

u/JoshvJericho Atlanta Braves 6h ago

Colon cancer screening starts at 45 years old so not that old

u/WangDanglin San Diego Padres 10h ago

The thing that kills me is the horror movie ads. Bro I’m watching baseball now my 5 year old is awake all night freaked out

5

u/spinrut Major League Baseball 9h ago

Don't forget all the alcohol ads on mlb network.

Its either boobs hanging out or in tight ass body suit they might as well be out and about ed pills, gambling, alcohol or some other drug

Its actually nicer to🏴‍☠️ some games bc they take mlb tv feeds and dont have commercials

3

u/Scuba1588 Cincinnati Reds 9h ago

Except colonoscopies can save your life. I’m under 40 and I’ve had two due to health concerns. The day before sucks but the procedure itself is fine. If you’re over 45 or you are having weird poops or see blood go see a doctor. Insurance usually covers it if a gastro doctor deems it necessary for you to have one.

3

u/awclay91 Houston Astros 8h ago

They played last night so often it was awkward watching with coworkers…. Lol

6

u/Brilliant-Tourist371 10h ago

don’t forget AI!

3

u/IndycarFan65 Milwaukee Brewers 9h ago

And pharma/GLP 1 ads. And the seemingly unavoidable Liberty ads

2

u/_twentytwo_22 Boston Red Sox 8h ago

We, the fans, are old.

1

u/Charming_Squirrel_13 7h ago

the cologuard ads and even a lot of pharma ads are fine. at least they’re spreading awareness for different diseases. the gambling and ed ads are out of control. also, how many baseball viewers have ed?

In this economy, the family friendly advertisers don't have the excess cash to pay for airtime during prime time sports.

In Texas I get one about how the very middle of the road but slightly left candidate wants to put people in jail for not getting surgery for trans kids…I kid you not- 40 times a game. Ironic they are going to force me to explain what trans is to my young kids watching the game. Pathetic.
