New Rule Posted - Fuck Cancer

Rule #9 has been posted as a further explanation regarding our automod, specifically around the phrase "fuck cancer". We review each of those as they come through and approve them as quickly as we can. It can be frustrating so we wanted to add some transparency to how things work to keep this place supportive. Cancer is horrible to many people, their friends, and families; and we are happy that the community at r/bald can provide some minor relief to those managing the awful disease. Fuck cancer.

I've gone through a lot of changes over these last few months.

I needed something different with my hair and I've wanted to send it.

So, I took the plunge and love the decision. Thanks to all who gave me advice and suggestions! So freeing!🎱

For those who seen my post the other day this a follow up. I said my girlfriend really didn’t want me to cut my hair, I didn’t either had it growing for 10 plus years and realized at this point it was only gonna get worse. I shed a tear when my barber was cutting my hair off and really thought I made a huge mistake ,but when one door closes another handsome one opens! as soon as my barber was done he said wow brand new man. it took me a couple Minutes to let it sink in but now I believe him lol. I feel rejuvenated I couldn’t go all the way and didn’t do the full plunge ,but took the courage to take a step in the right direction and get use to it being this short . please let me know what you guys think!

I know I look pissed off in the first pic, it was for a work license and I was told not to smile, it’s just the most recent before pic that I have. I just took the leap and I have to say I’m feeling much more confident and might not wear a hat every time I go out now.

A little over a month bald. Got to dress up at a wedding and was feeling good. A lot of friends and family saw me bald for the first time and it was a shock since I used to wear a wig, which they thought was a full head of hair! Feel good I’m not hiding anymore. Those of you on the fence, go for it!

A little update,

I am getting a new photo in a few weeks at our Agents Conference and will upload the professional head shot after it’s been done. Secondly, the bald photo was taken at midnight after I shaved my head. I wasn’t going to but product in it and clean it up just to go to bed

Not sure if i have the face/headshape for it feel like an orc now but it feels liberating not worrying about combing over and worrying about it anymore the hair. Thanks to all who commented on my other post your advice and information made me go for it. I was concerned about making a mistake as the hairline is horrific and the hair at the front very thin.

She says my head has the “right shape” and that she likes it. So, thank you, wise ones.

I was diagnosed with leukemia on Dolly Parton day and started taking the chemo pills that night. It’s only been 18 days, but my long hair started to break and fall out within a couple weeks. The cancer and chemo tried to take my cool hair, so I shaved it on my own terms. I’m happy to know that I can, indeed, rock a bald head.

The time has arrived. Fr tho I feel so much more confident now that I got rid of it. I'm aware that I'm not good looking but it's a massive W over thinning hair

Edit: the uneven side of my head is from operation when I was younger. Just FYI

Bald Picture Is this normal? Does it look weird?

I often keep my hair short and decided to go full 1/2 inch all over but I've been insecure about the shape of my head from the side profile. I looove how I look front facing but I feel like the side of my head looks weird at the back.
