Bald Picture Honestly, I think “Is it time?”
(38)M
I've been thinking about taking the plunge and going bald, and I'm curious what you guys think. Am I at the point where I should just embrace it, or do you think I should hold off a little longer?

😂 Well, I guess the people have spoken! Looks like it’s time to take the plunge. Appreciate all the honest feedback, guys. I’ve been on the fence for a while, but I think I needed that push.

Well the time was yesterday but since that opportunity has past, there’s no time like the present!

40m here. Had alot more hair then you and took the plunge. Foil shave it down. It will look good. Trim the beard and line it up. Good to go

It’s past time. If it was any more past-time we would call it baseball and make it national. I mean it’s way way past time

I know the camera makes bald spots look way worse.
So maybe you still have a little longer? Does it look the same on thr mirror?

I say try going shorter without going all the way. I just went all the way this last weekend and I hate it. It's amazing what going from even a 2 to a 0 makes. Just something to consider.

You’re already bald. It will look much better shaved. You’re going to look great 👌

Maybe an unpopular opinion here, but a little balding in the back on a middle age dude is not a bad look. It’s fine. You look great either way imo.

Your post has been flagged for suspicion of violating rule three: No advocating of hair-replacement treatments, either topical or surgical.
If your priority at this time is hair-loss prevention, or attempting hair regrowth, your efforts may perhaps be better spent over at r/tressless. The philosophy of this sub is more inclined toward embracing baldness, rather than fighting against it.

Have you tried medication yet? Might be worth giving that a shot for a year and seeing what happens. I don't think it looks that bad and the nature of your thinning often responds well to medication. If it halts the progression and maybe regrows even 10-20% it could set you up for a while.
