It's not the boogyman. It's also a tool that's currently in it's infancy and is being applied too widely and in all the wrong ways. AI functions well to parse through data, that's all.

You didn’t show us a picture of the back of your head. The side view shows your hairline tapering down. Is your baldness visible on the back of your head? I think you should shave. You may decide you don’t like it and you can let it grow back out.
